Ugh losing the plot with my OH. He's been so supportive with my sickness and now it's subsiding but nausea is still VERY present he is calling me lazy. What an assssss!!! 12weeks on Xmas day... having some tummy pains today but trying not to look into it too much! X

Crossfitgirl · 23/12/2018 20:10

Yay @eltzbee! Congratulations! It's weird being so far along when you've only just found out isn't it? Like weeks 1 and 2 were still ttc! So happy for you anyway!

I'm 7 weeks today :-)

Glad the scans went well today @sunshine1987 and @mrsof20118 and how amazing to see the heartbeat!

I am so happy, today I've put a weak amount of lemon barley in my water, and I've actually felt pretty human all day as I've actually been able to drink! I think a lot of the nausea must have been dehydration as I could only sip tiny amount of water or sweet cordial without feeling nauseous and I hardly peed at all for the past week.

Just further affirmation that my morning sickness is just like an awful bloody hangover!

Crossfitgirl · 23/12/2018 20:13

@delilah7 sorry OH isn't being great. your body must feel completely train wrecked after this past few weeks, even when it's calming down you're going to need time to recuperate. Maybe he is just feeling fed up and was hoping to have his normal OH back now its getting better and is just as frustrated as you are. Keep talking to him hun I'm sure he will be more understanding xxx

MrsC87 · 23/12/2018 20:38

Congrats @EltzBee what a lovely Christmas pressie! Welcome aboard.
I'm 10+2 today, 12 week scan is on 7th Jan but had one at 7 weeks and 9, so seen baby's heartbeat.
Fab news on the scans @sunshine1987 @mrsof20118
I may have a go with the lemon barley @Crossfitgirl , went food shopping today and had to abandon the trolley to go and be sick.
So pleased to have a sit down. Missing my Christmas tipple a little but I just keep holding my bloating bump and know next year I'll have a 5 month old 👶🏻😊 x

@Crossfitgirl thanks girl. I'm hoping he's just abit fed up of how I'm feeling too if I'm honest lol xx

Crossfitgirl · 23/12/2018 22:09

@mrsc87 we've been out for drinks tonight and have to admit I really just wanted a nice spiced rum and coke!

Have to say... You went actual food shopping today?? I mean... That's just plain mental nevermind when unwell!! Was it heaving? I sent DH to tesco yesterday and he said it was rammed at 7pm, he was there over an hour!

RanchoRelaxo · 23/12/2018 22:32

Very brave going shopping @MrsC87 we've had ours delivered, even if I wasn't a knackered knocked up woman I still wouldn't wanna go to the supermarkets this time of year 😂

EltzBee · 24/12/2018 08:24

@RanchoRelaxo another vote for delivery, I needed to get a couple of last minute things Saturday I'd forgotten so DH walke to town...the traffic was all backed up and shops heaving.

@MrsC87 so exciting not long til your scan!

Question, did those that temp stop when they got there bfp?

I guess I need to ring GP to get stuff booked in, is it worth ringing so early even if appointment aren't til after 8 weeks?

Crossfitgirl · 24/12/2018 10:39

@eltzbee I stopped temping as soon as I got BFP. No need to now. Someone said a drop can be a sign of MC so I also didn't want to be sick with worry every time it fluctuated down a bit. Being chilled and positive is the best way :-)
I booked a GP appt the day after, doesn't matter how early it is :-)
How are you feeling?
It took about a week for it to sink in properly for me!

EltzBee · 24/12/2018 11:08

@Crossfitgirl ah cool; I temped this morning (was exactly the same as yday weirdly!) but will stop now - I think you're right, it will stress me out and temperature is going to vary naturally anyway. Definitely wanting to be as chilled and relaxed as I can be.
Just rang the GP surgery and have an appointment with them on the 7th January, apparently they confirm the pregnancy and get things booked in and they like that one to be around 6 weeks for my GP surgery, so that should be about right. Keeping all my fingers crossed he sticks.

Feeling fine, still hasn't totally sunk in! Trying to be as positive as possible and to keep myself relaxed.

I'm slightly paranoid about drinking tea, I've decided I won't drink coffee but from looking at NHS website a few cups of tea each day are okay...I don't have too many vices lol.

When did you ladies start to get properly noticeable symptoms - I see a few have been battling nausea and sickness. I get nausea in my LP so I'm hoping that's not a sign it'll hit me hard now too! lol

mrsof20118 · 24/12/2018 12:55

@eltzbee I stopped temping when I got my bfp too. Didn't want something else to keep obsessing over!

EltzBee · 24/12/2018 13:01

@mrsof20118 very good point! I just went and got decaf tea so I can still enjoy a cuppa without worrying about that :)

Crossfitgirl · 24/12/2018 14:48

@eltzbee I got decaf tea and coffee, I had decaf in the morning so I could still have one or two normal cups at work without having to ask for decaf. One or two is fine, don't forget about other things like coke and chocolate though! Upto 200mg a day is fine.

I used to get nauseous sometimes around ov and I had no symptoms once pg and was so smug. Then got to just over 6 weeks and just went off all food, I haven't touched tea or coffee since as I just don't want it! I've even gone off chocolate. Crazy I know. I can now only eat the mini twix bars so I have a big stash of them 😂 but yeah I think most people seem to have started with nausea around the 6 or 7 week mark. My boobs have also gradually got more and more sore as time has gone on xx

canonlyhopexo · 24/12/2018 14:53

@EltzBee I'm 6+6 today and had symptoms from about 4+6! Sore boobs first then nausea and now sickness really bad. Tired off and on but feel like that's more from being exhausted being sick all the time. Gone off all food including all yummy Christmas treats and normally chocolates last about 0.4 seconds in my house!

mrsof20118 · 24/12/2018 15:54

Hope you all have a fab Christmas. I have done nothing but sleep today as feel nauseous and just exhausted. Hoping if I bank up the hours today I'll be more energetic tomorrow xx

ChaosMoon · 24/12/2018 21:27

Congrats @EltzBee!
I kept temping for a while, but my sleep got so messed up that I was never sleep for long enough in one stretch to get an accurate reading anyway.

Very merry Christmas for tomorrow lovely ladies!

CrystalBlaze · 25/12/2018 09:00

Congratulations @Eltzbee! Great news. I'm 22 weeks and have drunk tea as normal throughout. Figured it couldn't be that bad.

Merry Christmas you lovely lot. Enjoy our last one with no babies! Smile

MrsC87 · 25/12/2018 17:45

Merry Christmas Ladies ❤️🎄🎁

Merry Xmas everyone ❤️

12 weeks today!

SullyWifey · 25/12/2018 22:28

Merry Christmas chicks. Off to bed already. Super tired! 8 weeks today and we told our closest family today, was super lovely 🥰

EltzBee · 25/12/2018 22:58

Merry Christmas everyone. Had a lovely day, kept it secret from everyone still.

So super bloated and constipated atm!

Crossfitgirl · 26/12/2018 00:09

Merry Christmas! We told our families today and I'm telling my 2 best friends tomorrow :-)
Nausea seems to have buggered off too... Hope it lasts!

CookieWaffle · 26/12/2018 04:36

Hey ladies and welcome and congratulations Eltzbee! Hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas! xx

It's been a busy few days so was awol for a bit sorry! Told my family today, well someone guessed as a joke while I was trying to announce and when I said yes everyone just ignored me and my mom was just like 'well don't get your hopes up'. Turns out they thought I had been joking... Had to then explain in depth why I thought i was. Not the announcement I was hoping for but oh well. Luckily when they realised they were really happy.

Forgot to call the midwife the other day, will give them a call on Thursday, I'll be 8 weeks then. Would like some proof sometime soon!

Crossfitgirl · 26/12/2018 21:56

@cookiewaffle you're not alone on the reveal not going to plan. I planned to tell my 2 besties when they came over today to do a gift exchange, but one of them brought her wife with her without saying she was going to, and I then didn't feel comfortable cos I wanted to have girlie chat about the day we conceived etc.
So don't know when I'll tell them now!

Hope you get to see the MW soon, I'll be 8 weeks a few days after you on Sunday - then only 4 more weeks until we're 12 weeks! Lol xxx

mrsof20118 · 27/12/2018 08:00

@CrystalBlaze cannot believe you are so far gone already!
