@mrsof20118 I need to have a proper actual look and compare, we were literally just window shopping and thought it looked nice 😂 hadn't even thought about weight or collapsability!

Crossfitgirl · 02/01/2019 18:05

@ranchorelaxo what a lovely clear photo! Amazing!
@mrsEG yeah go while you still can! Most of us started with the sickness around the 6 week mark.
@mrsLbear I literally didn't even dare cough too hard the first couple of weeks in case I coughed the baby out! No word of a lie, the cramps made it feel so weird! I have gradually got less anxious as time has gone on, and now I don't worry about anything as you just have to accept that for the most part what happens now is totally out of your control. It's wait and see. I stopped temping straight away for that reason - I didn't want to be stressing about every little fluctuation wondering what it means. I think stressing in itself is probably worse than all the things you're actually stressing about. It'll get better I promise!

RanchoRelaxo · 02/01/2019 18:41

Thanks everyone, it's gonna be a very fast year!

@mrsof20118 midwife predicted 17/07 then the early scan said 16/7 but this one was another day ahead at 15/7! Maybe it's just a fast grower 😂

@MrsLBear I knicker checked massively at first, started calming down after 7ish weeks and I felt much better after the early scan, the fear is horrible. I don't know if I've posted this before but I found this website massively helpful at first, checking it everyday (have still got it open in my tabs) datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

CrystalBlaze · 02/01/2019 19:03

Evening you lovely lot. Amazing scan pic @Rancho! Great to hear all is well.

My advice is definitely enjoy keeping active and doing exercise while you can - have been doing my best but am out of breath easily like you say @Cookie. Did a five mile walk today and felt fine, but am suffering now with very stiff/sore hips. Feel like an old woman!

MrsLBear · 02/01/2019 19:05

@MrsEG I know it's a different kind of wetness in a way too. And I think cos I'm still having cramps (af like too) I'm more conscious of it. Glad to hear I'm not the only one!!
@Crossfitgirl haha that really made me laugh. When I got my BFP I felt like jumping up and down but as I went to I thought oh no wait I don't want to do something bad. I think I might follow you with the cutting out the temping. Mine was down slightly today and it's made me paranoid without even realising. That's exactly what my DH says about the stressing. I am mostly positive and then when I let my mind wonder it goes to horrible places.
Thanks for all your advice girls!

MrsLBear · 02/01/2019 19:12

Sorry @RanchoRelaxo I missed your post.
Oooo thank you I will have a read now. Glad to hear that it subsides too. I am still very early so maybe I need to cut myself some slack ☺️

MrsLBear · 02/01/2019 19:12

Omg sorry 3 times!!! Stupid WiFi!!!

MrsM2017 · 02/01/2019 21:02

@Crossfitgirl not sure if I believe in all that tempting fate stuff but hubby and I are hoping to pick up the car seat and pram in the next couple of weeks or so, just as we need to budget as they are big purchases! Plus we plan on getting gender neutral stuff so can be used again if needed.

@MrsLBear I had an early scan this evening at 8+2 for reassurance and it was a lovely experience 💕 not that it looks very baby shape (pic attached) but we saw a strong flickering heartbeat which was amazing!

MrsEG · 02/01/2019 22:12

@MrsM2017 Ah how lovely! Bet it was magic hearing the little heartbeat! :) I bet you can’t wait for that 12 week scan now! Congrats :)

EltzBee · 02/01/2019 22:39

@MrsLBear I stopped temping after I got m bfp, didn't want the stress! @Crossfitgirl is spot on there.

MrsLBear · 03/01/2019 04:43

Oh wow @MrsM2017 that must be so reassuring!!! And yay for the strong heart beat ❤️ I think I might look into that when we are home.

I've stopped temping now too. Well today was the first day not as you're all making complete sense as it does add to the worry and stress.

CookieWaffle · 03/01/2019 07:28

Oh wow @RanchoRelaxo look what you made! Why are you trying not to think about it? xx

And @MrsM2017 bet it was lovely to see that heartbeat!

RanchoRelaxo · 03/01/2019 07:37

@MrsM2017 what a lovely little bean 😁 bet you are over the moon, the difference a few weeks will make is amazing too!

@CookieWaffle I am a worrier and I was scared the worst had happened, but I was working for nothing! Will try and relax now :)

CookieWaffle · 03/01/2019 07:43

@RanchoRelaxo oh bless you, I totally get that. I'm a worrier too. I'm sure I'll be the same when it comes to scan day. I'm still having mini panics about how real this is all becoming yet I've wanted this for so long. Silly really as I'm sure I'll be ready when the time comes.

Crossfitgirl · 03/01/2019 08:15

How are you ladies coping with the tiredness? I just about managed a full day at work yesterday but then was so overtired when I got home I couldn't sleep. I'm now shattered. Luckily I'm working from home this morning so I've been able to stay in bed for a bit longer. But I have no idea how I'm gonna cope a full week next week 😢

RanchoRelaxo · 03/01/2019 08:15

@CookieWaffle haha tell me about it! We are halfway through doing our new house up, and have been leaving the 'baby room' but now we've had that scan we had a bit of a panic on how much there is to do before July 😂

ChaosMoon · 03/01/2019 08:17

@SullyWifey how are you feeling now?

@RanchoRelaxo what an amazing picture! I'm glad everything's ok. And for you @MrsM2017! I think that first heartbeat was actually the most emotional bit for me. ☺️

@MrsLBear I'm afraid I checked every time, until it's movements became regular. I hadn't actually noticed that I'd stopped...

I feel like an old woman too @CrystalBlaze! I keep groaning when I get up...
I've kept up the yoga but hadn't realised how much else I'd cut back until I tried to dance round the kitchen at Christmas and couldn't make it 3 bars. I was so breathless, but I think it's partly that my fitness is worse than ever.

Also I can't breathe and bend at the same times, because the baby's in the way!

MrsM2017 · 03/01/2019 08:39

Thank you everyone 😊 it was truly amazing - hubby was mesmerised too! Can't wait for the 12 week scan now and for it to look a bit more like a bubba!

@Crossfitgirl, bless you the tiredness is a killer at the moment. I don't know about you but it doesn't seem to matter what time I go to bed either!? Can't seem to get enough sleep! Luckily Ive got a staggered start back today and tomorrow but like you a full on week next week - and now actual vomiting has kicked in so goodness knows how I'll cope 😫
Are you able to work from home more often maybe?

EltzBee · 03/01/2019 09:36

Well yesterday the fatigue hit me hard (I turned 30 yday but don't reckon that is why lol). Today woke up super nauseas and simply shattered, can barely keep my eyes open. Have pinged my boss as there's no way I can even wfh this morning. I'm now led in bed with a cup of tea DH brought me as he's wfh as he was worried about me bless him. Feel like I have a cold or allergies too, blocked nose and keep sneezing. No idea what other than paracetamol I could even take and don't want to take anything if j can avoid it :( back to sleep for me and hope it fades. First day I've woke up feeling sicky and the thought of food....just no right now.

ChaosMoon · 03/01/2019 10:05

Happy birthday @EltzBee!

The fatigue does sort of go once you're in the second trimester, but sleeping is impossible, so I'm still tired all the time.

It's ok though ladies. We can catch up on sleep in about 18 years.

MrsEG · 03/01/2019 10:26

@EltzBee Happy Birthday! Hope you had a fab day! I don’t know how I’m gonna cope at work without my afternoon naps.

@ChaosMoon Haha, too true - you have to wonder sometimes what we’ve let ourselves in for!! My niece (7 months old) is teething at the moment and currently wakes every 90 minutes during the night........ She’s a doll though! My sister assures me it’s all worth it (through gritted teeth)!

SullyWifey · 03/01/2019 11:01

@Crossfitgirl I feel you honey, tiredness is quite mad actually. I just have zero energy. Yesterday I had one of the best days in ages but today soon as I opened my eyes the sickness hit and really struggling today. I'm so jealous you get to work from home, I don't have that luxury 😟

@ChaosMoon the cramping has pretty much gone now, just the odd normal twinge we get used to I guess! Thank you for asking 💖 how are you feeling at the moment?

Hope you had lovely birthday @EltzBee sorry to hear your starting to feel the wrath of pregnancy!! It's harder than I ever imagined.

Literally just wishing for 2nd tri to come along, clinging on to the fact everyone says I'll feel better then!!

EltzBee · 03/01/2019 11:52

@SullyWifey so glad to hear your cramps have eased up and you're feeling better.

Finally ventured downstairs, dh made me an egg sandwich I've managed to eat. Decaf cup of tea brewing. So shattered can barely keep my eyes open so think it'll be back to bed again. Not even going to try working. Never thought it would be the early stage of pregnancy that was the tiring stage! Seems daft not to now I understand how much my body is trying to do at the moment. 5+5 today. Guess should be glad it didn't start a week earlier!
