Just wanted to catch up with everyone from the TTC thread. I know some of us have July due dates and others August due dates, so wanted to check in with you all!
How are you all doing?

@mrsof20118 that's exciting!!! Which one did you go for?

SullyWifey · 01/01/2019 16:44

Thanks for all your comments ladies. So I rung my midwife twice and left two messages. Then rung a day centre which was in front of my notes and no one answered.

Pain has been very mild throughout the day today. Said to myself if it ramps up even by a notch I'll call 111. I know this is so so dumb. But I'm not one to make a fuss. But I know I should learn too.

@Crossfitgirl So I was similar to that? And know I overloaded on sugar yesterday. So could have been that? With the sweat on and everything, felt like I wanted to go to the loo but nothing ever came!

Guess I was so worried because the cramps where so low rather than in my stomach.

@CrystalBlaze Thanks for reassuring. It just went on for hours and hours without letting up. Was so strange. Have you had anything like that too?

My friend said that weeks 9 and 10 the yolk is changing to the placenta so could cause pain. Guess it makes sense.

How shit that no one answered my calls by the way??

Absolutely dreading work tomorrow too. I haven't had a day since Iv been off where I haven't had a nap so it's going to be a struggle. I hate my work, they are going to be so unsupportive. Just got to get through 6 months (toying with the idea of finishing a few weeks earlier as I can already tell I'm going to be a rubbish pregnant person in the height of summer)

mrsof20118 · 01/01/2019 17:28

I would ring 111 for reasssurance no harm and your health is most important @SullyWifey

mrsof20118 · 01/01/2019 17:50

@SullyWifey just seen other post and it’s mild today. Glad it’s got better for you x
@mrslbear we went for the bugaboo cameleon

MrsEG · 01/01/2019 18:00

@SullyWifey Have you got a local EPU? Mine were absolutely fantastic with me - could you try and call or pop in to them to get checked and put your mind at ease? As they are essentially A&E for pregnancy only the wait doesn’t tend to be too long. Glad to hear the pain is easing! Your midwife hours may have changed as it’s a Bank Holiday (I know mine isn’t working today as she called me yesterday) Sorry to hear your work aren’t great. Just think - this time next year you’re on mat leave!

CrystalBlaze · 01/01/2019 18:05

I had some really really painful cramps at about 8/9 weeks @SullyWifey that didn't go on as long as yours but I had to get on all fours and breathe through them. It was quite scary but nothing more came of it. Everyone's body is different and there's a hell of a lot going on in there when growing a baby that I think can be easy to forget!

As others have said, give your nearest EPU a try and I bet they will be happy to scan you and check all is well. But in the meantime try not to worry too much - you've had no further symptoms to cause you concern so in all likelihood it's probably just things stretching and your insides taking a bit of a battering. Let us know how you get on x

sunshine1987 · 01/01/2019 18:19

@mrsof20118 love that pram, good shout! Great price too. Think we’re looking for one that converts for two as plan is (hopefully) to have a small age gap. But very tempted to say sod it and get a single one like the chameleon, it’s such a minefield 🙈

MrsLBear · 01/01/2019 18:39

@mrsof20118 ah I love the bugaboos!! I shamelessly googled them to death way before we even started TTC!! Haha. What colour did you get?

I've googled so much today (joys of everyone being hungover) and found so many interesting things. My bank account is already crying and I've not even bought anything!! Haha.
Just looked at pregnancy pillows. They look so comfy!!!!

MrsLBear · 01/01/2019 18:40

Yeah that's actually really bad there isn't an out of hours line that's manned at all times @SullyWifey. I would phone 111 just in case though they are so good and can advise you what's best. Even if it's calmed down always worth a chat with them.

mrsof20118 · 01/01/2019 19:54

@sunshine1987 that’s our plan too but figured we can always sell this on if needs be as seem to get an ok price for them second hand. We are hopefully moving more rural too this year so will suit a more rugged terrain I hope.

@mrslbear we got the navy as hoping it won’t show the dirt that much but also can be machine washed so seems really good. My other half got me the genie something pillow for Christmas. Seems comfy from looking and testing it out briefly

sunshine1987 · 01/01/2019 20:18

@mrsof20118 that’s a good point! Hmmm maybe i’ll do the same! We have two dogs so definetely need an all terrain one (and it’s pretty lol) xx

MrsEG · 01/01/2019 21:09

Have many of you ladies continued with your usual exercise routine with your pregnancy? I do a lot of running and spin classes and am keen to keep on top of it, GP says fine just to lower the intensity and be aware of becoming too breathless. But I feel a little anxious about it to be honest, and I won’t see the midwife to get her approval until 10 weeks and don’t really want to sit around doing nothing until then! Just wondered what you guys had been doing, and any advice midwives had given to you?

SullyWifey · 01/01/2019 21:13

You girls are amazing, thank you. Sometimes you just need to hear that's it's ok to call someone!

So I called 111 and basically they said as the pain has eased off and there's no bleeding, to just see how it goes and rest as much as possible. The moment I experience anywhere near same pain to call them again or go straight to the EPU (that's only open Monday - Friday 9-1pm?!)

Decided my New Years resolution is to learn how and when to look out for myself, only 8 months till I'm responsible for another life. So best start with myself ay!

Thanks for always being there xxx

SullyWifey · 01/01/2019 21:17

@MrsEG I have gone from going to the gym 3 times a week for good cardio and strength work outs. To nothing, which I hate! Only because I have no energy and been feeling awful all the time! If you feel good just do it! Be really good for you xxx

MrsEG · 01/01/2019 21:21

@SullyWifey 9-1 for the EPU?! Oh well at least you know now so if you ever do need them you know to get in there early!! Will keep everything crossed this pain subsides and it’s just growing pains from the bean!!

Thanks - my husband is a personal trainer (even more reason to crack on with it!) and he said the same, best to get the exercise in now while I’m feeling okay, should sickness kick in and render me useless. I can’t shake the anxiety that I’ll be bouncing the baby around (ludicrous I know!!) - think I’ll give it a go tomorrow and see how it feels. It’ll be a long 9 months otherwise, especially now boozing is off the cards!

Crossfitgirl · 01/01/2019 21:52

@sullywifey so glad everything is OK, 111 usually err on the side of caution too, so must be nothing to worry about. Hope it stays away now!

@mrsEG I carried on going to the gym as normal when I found out, though I too was really worried. I basically just scaled the weight and intensity to what I felt comfortable with - more in my mind than anything! I didn't get much chance to go before the sickness kicked in, and I haven't been since. Make the most of it while you can. I can't wait to get back to it!
My crossfit coaches basically said to scale intensity a bit and then just don't do anything where you could fall and injure yourself. I think adapting exercises will come more with a bump later down the line than now.

Ooh not keen on that bugaboo. We nosied at the ocarro navy pram in mamas and papas. With a little navy foot cosy and other cute matching stuff. It was unfortunately not in the sale!! Haha. I wanted all of the prams tbh. They all made me so gooey.

Currently in bed hugging the rennie.
Happy near year all
Xxx

CookieWaffle · 01/01/2019 22:26

@SullyWifey glad it's eased off a bit at least xx

Is it just me or is anyone else just out of breath all the time?? It maybe because I've not moved much all Xmas, but was definitely feeling fitter before I got pregnant! Back to work tomorrow, I'm really not looking forward to it. Hoping work will at least take my mind off wanting to throw up!

CookieWaffle · 01/01/2019 22:30

As for exercise I was basically told not to start anything new. Will keep on with my pilates as I've been doing it a long time and I walk or cycle to work and go swimming sometimes. Obviously not when I want to throw up!

mrsof20118 · 02/01/2019 08:52

@MrsEG I'm still doing body pump, spin and body balance. I had a break when feeling sick but back to it now and feeling much better. Just not trying to increase weights and if I feel out of breath I just lower my weights a bit.

I love that one too @Crossfitgirl but weighed about 4kg more than the bugaboo and was worried about trying to collapse it and stuff If I ended up having a c section x

RanchoRelaxo · 02/01/2019 16:24

Hi guys, sorry I've been quiet the last few days I've been trying not to think about this scan too much, but everything went great, baby was jumping around and waving it's arms 😊 it was amazing. Due date has been pushed forward again to 15th july

MrsLBear · 02/01/2019 16:42

Aw what a lovely scan photo @RanchoRelaxo!!!! You must be so relieved to see the baby is doing absolutely fine!!

mrsof20118 · 02/01/2019 16:47

@RanchoRelaxo that's amazing news! What was your dates before? X

MrsLBear · 02/01/2019 16:48

Those of you that temped before. Have you continued to do so?

I check my knickers every time I wee and my heart almost stops as I do in case there's something there. Those of you that are further along, does that panic stop at all? Or am I completely mad?

I haven't stopped thinking about it all one bit. I'm not sure how I'm gonna cope at work when all I wanna do is dream about it and google everything.

MrsEG · 02/01/2019 17:07

@RanchoRelaxo What a fabulous scan pic! How lovely you got some waves too :) 15th July, that will absolutely fly by now!

MrsEG · 02/01/2019 17:11

Thanks @Crossfitgirl @mrsof20118 @CookieWaffle, heading back to the gym this evening, feeling much happier about it now! May as well make the most of it as no nausea just yet (still only 5 weeks though!)

@MrsLBear I check constantly (not helped by how much I always need a wee at the moment too), I asked the same here and it sounds very, very common. If anything the ‘wetness’ only gets worse the further along you get! Oh the glamour of it all!!
