Congratulations @MrsEG I also had quite a bit of cramping early on, was worried just like you cause of an early loss myself, I booked an early scan between weeks 8 and 9 and it was amazing, would definitely recommend it (looked like an actually little baby shape at that point rather than a blob 😁)

Hope everyone's had a lovely Christmas, I've got my 12 week scan on Wednesday and am bricking it already 👎 hoping it all goes okay

Crossfitgirl · 29/12/2018 16:04

Lots of 12 week scans coming up! Good luck everyone and let me know how they go :-) mines booked for 28th Jan so a little while yet.
Welcome @mrsEG and congrats! I had loads of cramping those early days, was mega thirsty and peeing loads. I didn't get much extra CM but it didn't stop me checking my knickers every time I went to the loo!
@cookiewaffle @delilah7 sorry the sickness hasn't gone yet sounds so mean subsiding then returning! @sullywifey is it an early scan you're having or your 12 week one? I didn't think you were that far along! Good luck! Are you still thinking possibly twins??
@mrsof20118 ahh sure it's a good thing with the weight gain! Mines stayed about the same, I've paused my gym membership so haven't worked out at all, but don't seem to have put any on - probably because I can't find anything I want to eat! Glad you're feeling better though! Are you about 9 or 10 weeks or further? Xx

MrsC87 · 29/12/2018 17:48

Hey ladies, so I am away at the moment at Centre Parcs and although it's kept me busy not thinking about the baby (I'm petrified I going to get to the 12 week scan and the heartbeat has stopped 🙁) I am absolutely shattered!
Pregnancy Acne is at its peak too so I don't look the glowing pregnant lady just yet 🙄
Nausea still there but not vomiting anymore.
I'm now 11+1.
Good luck to all upcoming scans!
@MrsEG I feel wet most days, but it has calmed down significantly as the weeks go on. I asked the midwife was it normal and she said yes. So no need to worry, I just change my underwear frequently or wear a panty liner.
Who said pregnancy was attractive!? 😂

mrsof20118 · 29/12/2018 19:23

@Crossfitgirl are you feeling too rough to go? It'll pass if so. I'm about 9 and half today x

mrsof20118 · 29/12/2018 19:25

Just spent the past hour making my own pregnancy milestone cards ready for 12 weeks onwards as yet to find any that I like. Anybody else going to document it for their own memories?!

SullyWifey · 29/12/2018 20:14

@Crossfitgirl oh no it's just the early one I booked! Don't have date for 12 week one yet! Nooo I don't think it's twins (hoping not!) but literally nearly everyone in my family and friends have said they think it is!! How strange is that? Because Iv been so tired and sick, going to be awrks when they realise I'm just a wimp with the one haha. Me and DH keep joking about it though! Well in 14 hours I'll know for sure!!

@Delilah7 ooo it's nearly here, make sure you post a pic for us!

@mrsof20118 that's a lovely thing to do! My friend bought me some beautiful ones, so excited to start using them.

Has anyone else started taking weekly pictures? I did from week 6, just for fun :)

@MrsC87 jealous about centre parcs wanted to go there for so long! I feel you hun, pregnancy is not attractive!!

@MrsEG congrats darling! What a lovely present!! Yes to all symptoms had it all! Welcome to the not so glamorous pregnancy club haha xxx

Crossfitgirl · 29/12/2018 20:15

@mrsof20118 yeah just feel too queasy all the time, I'm so gutted as usually exercise is my go to for feeling better, but the last time I went it actually made me feel sick. More then anything though I'm just too exhausted! Even doing nothing all day is exhausting!

That's so good to hear you're feeling well enough at 9 weeks. Maybe in a week or two I'll feel better! Fingers crossed.

I got DH to take belly pics at 5 weeks and 6 weeks but forgot this week lol. I edited the 6 week pic so it had a little heart and text that said 6 weeks pregnant and the date (it was my birthday) I might get him to do the same tomorrow! I didn't know you could get proper cards for it! Aww you'll have to post a pic of the ones you made, that's very organised.

Crossfitgirl · 29/12/2018 20:42

@mrsc87 right with you there on the spotty face! I feel like a teenager again 😂 hope you're having a good time at centre parcs. Have you been in the spa??

@sullywifey aw post us your scan pic tomorrow won't you! We are waiting until our 12 week scan... but I secretly want an early one! What's your weekly pics like? I look preggo already in the 6 week one such bloat!! I bet it goes down before it gets bigger! Lol 😂 gonna do an 8 week one tomorrow.

MrsM2017 · 29/12/2018 23:07

@Crossfitgirl yup 😊 edd of 12th August! How are you feeling today?

Thanks @sunshine1987 think I may do that, it's all a bit up in the air with Xmas/new year etc but if I haven't heard by next Wednesday (when I'll be just over 8 weeks) I think I'll give them a call to chase things up.

Aww bless you @mrsof20118 the weigh in is the but I'm so worried about at my booking in as I'm a little bit 'fluffy round the edges' usually anyway (a size 12/14 and 5ft 8) but I'm soooo bloated at the moment and that combined with only being able to drink fruit juice and snack in salty beige foods without feeling nauseous - I dread to think how much I would have put on 😯☹️

You must be so excited for your 12 week scan @Delilah7 !

Congratulations on your bfp @MrsEG ! 👶

Anyone got any tips for (sorry if tmi!) constipation 😳 I used to be more active but the fatigue and nausea has stopped me doing anything but walk the dog! That combined with only being able to stomach fruit juice and beige foods without feeling like I'm going to be sick - I'm really struggling with going regularly 😕

Crossfitgirl · 29/12/2018 23:17

@mrsM2017 go for a walk. But not for too long mind. I had the same problem and went for a walk, fresh air felt great but about 10 mins from home had awful stomach pains... Defo got things moving. Had to practically run home to get to the loo in time!

I'd say just keep as hydrated as possible and try to be on your feet so gravity helps you along. I asked both the midwife and the pharmacist about laxatives safe to take (even the sachet stuff) and they just said speak to the GP. I didn't feel it was worth making an appt for so didn't bother.

I actually feel totally fine right at this moment!
I'm trying to stay up as late as possible as I know it won't last come the morning!

MrsEG · 29/12/2018 23:50

@RanchoRelaxo Thank you! Think I’ll definitely look in to an early scan. You’ve all convinced me! Hope your 12-week scan goes brilliantly!

@Crossfitgirl Thanks lovely, yes I’m finding I’m peeing an awful lot as well whether I’ve been drinking water or not! That’ll be a joy when I get back to the office next week... (the loos are on a different floor) just hoping I don’t get any sickness..!

@MrsC87 Thank you, very reassuring! I’m already making my list of random questions for the midwife (‘why are my nipples itchy?’) - the glamour!

@SullyWifey Phew So glad its not just me! All the best of luck with your scan!

SullyWifey · 30/12/2018 12:37

Hey ladies, meet the bean I'm growing! My perfect little darling is measuring bang on my dates so due date 6th August. Was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I'm in love and on cloud 9 xxxx

You can just see the legs and umbilical cord at the end :) xxx

@CobaltRose96 That must be so stressful. My friend had the same with both babies (her bump actually shrank at one point!) But everything was fine.

@SullyWifey how was your scan?

Good luck with your scans @Delilah7 @RanchoRelaxo and I'm sure I'm missing at least one other person...

What an amazing Christmas present @MrsEG, congratulations! I had the same worries about wetness early on. All was fine though, and it's not a patch on what I get down there now! Sorry, TMI! 🤦

@mrsof20118 That's awesome, what did you put on yours?

@MrsM2017 I've had to drop meat to once a week, and that's made a big difference. Walking, yoga, more water than I thought I could drink, eating huge amounts of different types of veg, plus dried fruit and whole grains. That's all helped too, as much as it's a bit clichéd. And you can take laculose if needed. Your pharmacist should be able to help.

ChaosMoon · 30/12/2018 12:55

Oooh, @SullyWifey I missed your post. Your baby is beautiful! So happy for you. Xxx

mrsof20118 · 30/12/2018 13:16

@MrsM2017 could try some dates if you can face them? I have been making the deliciously Ella energy balls as snacks. She does ginger and cashew and then cocoa and almonds. Both really nice and contain dates so keep you regular. The ginger ones help with the nausea too I'm sure.

@ChaosMoon I have done weekly cards and then some extra ones for due date, we are expecting etc. Going to get them printed then will send a pic to you guys.

@SullyWifey congrats and what an amazing pic. How far gone are you now then (can't work it out with crimbo limbo brain!).

mrsof20118 · 30/12/2018 13:18

Realised I never shared my pics but amazing to see the growth in a few weeks.
Teeny baby is lmp 6 weeks but measured at 5w3d. Second pic is my lmp 8w2d but measured at 8w4d.

Afternoon ladies, lovely seeing the scan pics!

@MrsEG I'm 5+1 Today and the same with odd cramping and feeling quite wet down there. I think it's normal. Trying to keep as calm and positive as possible. I'm seeing GP 7th Jan, not quite what happens, the receptionist said something about confirming the pregnancy...keeping fingers crossed Bean sticks and holds on tight.

Still no sign of any symptoms yet but I know its early!

Crossfitgirl · 30/12/2018 17:08

Wow loving these scan pics 😍😍😍 it's making me so excited for when ours finally comes!

Delilah7 · 30/12/2018 17:56

Not excited for my scan at all tomorrow😔 my new anti sickness tablets don't work and I'm exhausted from being sick.

Crossfitgirl · 30/12/2018 19:53

@delilah7 how awful for you hun, has it got worse again? Is it far to the hospital for your scan? Hope tomorrow is as easy as possible for you xxx

Delilah7 · 30/12/2018 19:55

@Crossfitgirl it's about 30mins or so but it's at 9:50 which is the worse time. As early morning/late morning I seem to be worse. Yes it seems to have come back with a vengeance. I have no idea how I'm going to manage work 😭😭😭😭 I've miscarried before and I'm never one to say this EVER but just makes me wonder was I meant to be pregnant. This is so so hard. Xx

mrsof20118 · 30/12/2018 20:25

@Delilah7 sorry to hear you are still really sick. I read somewhere yesterday that hg kicks in more around your time? It’s undestandable to question things with being so drained from being sick all the time. Just remember your body is doing an amazing thing and hopefully seeing baby tomorrow will perk you up a bit. Maybe the midwifes tomorrow can offer better advice regarding the sickness too. Are you able to keep water down or feel dehydrated at all? You shouldn’t be struggling as much as this and they may be able provide further assistance x

Crossfitgirl · 30/12/2018 20:47

@delilah7 it's completely understandable you're feeling that way, I imagine it's hard to even think about the end result when you are going through this. Though please do speak to your midwife about how you're feeling. You need to make sure you're getting the right help and that includes looking after your mental health as well as just the physical. I think anybody in your situation would be feeling totally unable to cope, god I know I'd feel in dispair it sounds so horrible.
Like @mrsof20118 said perhaps they can give you better advice there, have you been considered for hospital admission or IV fluids or anything? I really hope seeing the baby on that screen helps lift your spirits. I'd be telling him/her to be bloody grateful for being all warm and sound and happy whilst you suffer for the sake of their wellbeing! Sending lots of love xxx💐
