Jules99 - good news about yr scan. And how decent of the chap to scan you again

MrsMc www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=49&threadid=364878&stamp=070802145858 GBS thread. Might also be tricky getting yr more immediate carers to erm assist with the swab - should you be too large to do by yrself (done at 36 wks). haha - dh has already said it'll be my mom's job!

Cheers for compliments on my pics. Little girl is my dd - profile says I have no kids cos when I was signing up to mumsnet it said something about sending you updates about child development etc. Due to delays dd has in all aspects of development I really didn't want this (had already got really hacked off with bounty stuff and junk mail aimed at my crawling, then walking then potty training child) so just put no kids. Dunno how to change it now.

Beckle - www.framehuggers.com/ think they come from US but I was really happy with them - they are custom made to dimensions of yr child's glasses. Bit of a norse to slide on but much better than the sticky ones (which dd would freak at cos of peeling off her skin. Also tried patching the glasses with the sticky ones but that made em too heavy and they'd be sliding down her nose!) How's yr son getting on with the patching? We're on a break from it now (yayyy!)but will probably need to do again at some point in the future. Ooh good luck for yr scan. Dunno about finding out. We first opted not to (from cvs results) but then at the scan curiousity had got the better of us (well dh actually. I was up for finding out all along ) Think we'd have twigged anyway cos our little flasher had his legs wide open and we didn't need it explaining to us

Hi All

Just a short one from me, as it's late here, but I'm still here!!!

lovely pics and news of good scans, so nice to see and hear of everyone's bubs growing healthy and strong.

I think Mrsmc hit the nail on the head "once the first 12 weeks is past" it really does go quick, just a pain that the first 12 seems like 29

Have a great weekend everyone.

I can't believe I am heading for 20 weeks either Jules! I still have days where it feels very unreal, I am hoping that will get better after the scan next week. Your post made me cry in a good way though, so lovely that you have fallen in love with your LO, that is a feeling that will never go.
Thanks for the link Ejb, they look great, much better than the sticky ones. Like the appliques you can have added too - DS2 is having his eyes tested next week and a spiderman patch if he's good might be just the thing to encourage him (last time he refused to have them tested). Also because he messed around in his last appointment I am not sure if his eye is really terrible or he was not really trying! He was patched when he was just over a year and didn't need them for long but the lazyness switched eyes and he is now 4.5 and has had them on the other eye for about a year. Is great that your DD is on a break from them, can't imagine it is very nice for them. Did she have to wear hers for very long each day? DS2 only has to for 1 hour (by which time it has usually lost its stick!). We found out the flavour when we had DS2 (DS1 was a surprise) and he too was a little flasher - there was definitely no mistaking he was a boy!

Mumpbump · 03/08/2007 16:13

Hello everyone! Just a quick post from me today. Still no news from Firststar - reckon this must be it and hope that all is well!

Pleased to hear that there are lots of great scans going on. The 3-D ones on your profile look amazing, EJB, and your dd looks so cute...

Had the day off yesterday to watch dh do his vintage plane flight. We got to see him turn by our house - took all of about 1.5 minutes... Then spent the rest of the day putting ceramic floor tiles down and have now sprained my wrist... Anyway, I will hopefully catch up properly next week. Have a bit too much work to catch up on at the moment... Have a good weekend all!

muddyboots · 03/08/2007 16:31

becklespeckle - I'll almost definitely regret wishing for more morning sickness!! A few months ago I sobbed to DH "If I ever get pregnant ever again I wont complain about anything. Ever. Sniff, blub"

my1stbaby · 03/08/2007 18:33

Hi all, huge relief here, scan is all good. Heart beating away at 179bpm . MIL was so chuffed that she said we should name beanie Thomas! I'm 8+3 according to scan. So all pleased and happy at the 1stbaby household. On a slightly down side, still bleeding away so can't relaxed completely but for now, we are going to think positive and enjoy the weekend.
Thank you everyone for the support and best wishes. It means a lot me and DH. Sorry took so long to post, was stuck in the motorway for ages in the rush hour. Hope everybody will have a great weekend.

BTW muddyboots, I'm having horrible MS now after not having any symptoms for ages and worrying about the lack of it. But I'll forgive little beanie anything as long as it stays with us x

Just a quick post from me (can't keep up with everyone)

Firsty...hoping your absence is because your prescious bundle is here thinking of you x

my1st... i am so glad your scan went well am that you have seen your LO. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of the bleeding so you can stop worrying.

MrsMc...16 weeks?? WOW HOORAY and

I am feeling low again today, still having nausea waves and DP said my boobs are bigger but i am finding it really hard to feel positive this time I want to be excited really i do but i can't get the thought out of my head that things may have gone wrong already and i wouldn't know

Bouncingturtle · 04/08/2007 07:08

Myfirstbaby - congrats! How exciting for you, and you must be so relieved, the chances of m/c go down drastically once a heartbeat is detected
MrsMc - Didn't know you lived in Edinburgh! I shall look you up next time we visit. My DH was mean and wouldn't let us take the bus
EJB - your dd is gorgeous, love the bad hair day pic - sounds familiar my mum used to despair of my hair when I was your dd's age lol
And love your scan pix too!
Mumofmonsters {{{{{hug}}}}} you look like you need one!
Hellow to everyone else!

Rainbowdays · 04/08/2007 09:12

I have finally, after a week of faint tests, got one that looks ok, phew! this baby must be hanging in at the moment. My nerves are in tatters, with wondering if this baby will be ok and at the latter stages of building a house and finishing my job this week, dh is finishing his job in 5 weeks time (yep both of us unemployed until one of us finds a job!!!), it all seems a bit of my life turning upsidedown. I feel a bit odd in that I was hoping to ask for an early scan, but with the more convincing pg tests, I don't really have a valid reason other than my fear. But I will try to stay in a positive mood and see how things go. Sorry I have waffled a bit here.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Uki · 04/08/2007 12:59

rainbow days- great news

mumofmon- nausea and boobs are a great sign, hang in there, you'll be fine.

Having a low day myself, very emotional it's one year exactly since my missed m/c was found at 12 weeks, seems like so long ago, but still hurts. still feel pretty sick and weak too, so hope baby doesn't come early.

Anymore good news most welcome.

Firsty????

Firsty, where are you?! Hopefully snuggling up with your new bundle of lovelyness x
Yay! for My1stBaby! Glad LO is okay, get those feet up woman and relax! Still keeping everything crossed for you.
Rainbow - Yay! for you too, glad your positives are getting darker! I think your own fear is more than enough reason to ask for an early scan, I could not have gotten through to my dating scan as a sane(ish) woman without the early one I had. You sound like you've got a lot on at the moment but in an exciting, fresh start kind of way!
Uki and {{{hugs}}}, Jules is right, we don't forget and even with the expecting/arrival of a new LO, we never forget the ones we lose. Is just over a year since I discovered my missed m/c although I find the due dates haunt me more. On a more positive note, if Firsty has given birth you are next on the list! Do you have/want a text buddy?
MOM, your symptoms sound promising hun, it is hard to relax in the early stages I know but keep talking to us on here, I found the support invaluable because everyone understood me.
Hi to everyone else!

Feedmenow · 04/08/2007 20:17

Evening all!

My1st, so glad that the scan was a good one. But can I just ask, was it not a bit odd having a trans-vaginal scan with MIL in the room? I don't know that I would want to have done that!!

Uki, I'm sure bubba won't come early. You're just having an off day and need lots of TLC to get you back on top of things.

I think I may have discovered a rememdy for my ms - water! Although I'm not being sick, I think I've just felt so rough that I haven't been drinking enough. So yesterday and today I've been drinking loads more and seem to be feeling better for it.

However, on a sadder note, this weekend (tomorrow I think, based on LMP back then) marks the anniversary of when my baby was due. Weird to be here. Glad I am pg again, but think I would have been happier if pg was further along by the time tomorrow came along, IYSWIM. But, hey ho!

And firsty! Can you not log on from your hospital bed (cos surely that is where you are!) to let us know how you are doing????????

cefer · 04/08/2007 20:52

Hi, I am new here. This is my first ever post. Apologies if I have put this post in the wrong place!

I am a mum to a wonderful three year old daughter and I have had three mc's in less than a year. Two pgs were lost at 4+5 and the last was at 8+4. On the last one, the pg never developed past a 5/6 week pg and never saw a h/b. I had all the tests done and there are no genetic problems or clotting problems. My consultant decided that I should be on clexane when I get pg again, as he has found it has had good results even for women who have recurrent mc and have no clotting problem

After a years break I am pg again and have been on Clexane for about 4 days now. I have no idea how far into this pg I am. I had a month long period last month, so have no idea what my cycle was doing. All I know is conception can only have happened after the 7th July!!!

Anyway I had a pos hpt on 26th July and a Bhcg of 13 on the same day...levels went up every 48 hrs to 53,108,228,605..am due another on Monday. Started Clexane on the day my levels went to 108. I am also on progesterone pessaries.

I do feel positive about this pg, and I am trying very hard to remain very focussed on the positivity of this situtaion..I know I am doing the best I can and I know I am very grateful for this treatment. Still there are moments when the worry takes over!..... I would really like to hear from other women who have been on clexane or who are taking it right now who can share some positive stories...I would really appreciate it.

Hi Cefer, have posted on your thread about where to find more threads about Clexane-there are quite a few of us mumsnetters on it. Feel free to ask if you've any questions, I'm sure one of us will have an answer
