ejt, my synopsis is I feel c*p!! I HATE morning sickness with an absolute passion! Never morning sickness for me, but all day sickness. I never vomit, just feel like sh*e all day, every day. During my last pg (which ended in mc) I can clearly remember thinking to myself that if anything went wrong I didn't think I could face going through all that sickness again, yet here I am!
Have bought Sepia (homeopathic stuff) to try, and travel sick bands. Just want to curl up and die plus [vomit] emoticon.

MerlinsBeard · 29/07/2007 20:46

u had sickness with your m/c feedmenow?

spugs · 30/07/2007 11:05

crap - my cramps that i had which disapeared have came back, the only time that this has happened was when i mced i know theres no bleeding but there wasnt the last time. i definitly feel more pg then i did with the mc but im panicing. i cant find any bloody hospitlas that do viability scans only one that does 20 + week ones. when i saw the dr he wasnt keen on sending me for a scan and told me to come back if there was any bleeding! am i just being parinoid? i hope i am, keep on winding myself up, arghhhh rant over, thanks

MerlinsBeard · 30/07/2007 11:07

do you have an epu spugs? ro can you get to DR today a different one that is?

spugs · 30/07/2007 11:20

there is one, might give them a ring and see if i can refer myself. my doctors are crap, my sister visited one when she was mcing one of her twins and he told her bleeding was perfectly normal and to go home. she went to a&e where she was scanned and had lost a twin! there basically all the same at the practice so dont think it would do much good

Why not ring them and have a chat? Mighthelp to putyour mind at ease. I have been twingy but still feel nauseous off and on. "forgot" to ring DR this morning for appt (here you have to see a dr before you can be booked in with mw) am really scared that the same thing is going to happen again baby died at 6 weeks last time but i didn'tknow until 10. Was clinging to my nausea but someone else had said they had it and stil m/c.#

I didnt think there would be anythign as hard as mmc but this is really difficult!

my1stbaby · 30/07/2007 11:31

spugs- can you go private? I know loads of Nuffield hospitals does private scans. I went to a BMI hospital for my scan last Fri when I had bleeding. Thinking of you and hope that all will be ok. I am in a panicky stage myself as still bleeding even though lighter than on Fri. So I know exactly how you feel. x

Hi Firsty -- was thinking of you over the weekend. Oh, waves of pain is a good sign. Might still take a while but every little twinge helps...Yes, it seems the end is very hard again, but you will, WILL have that baby in the next days. There is no doubt!

I agree the first weeks are so scary and the best thing is to come here and share your worries. As I posted before I bled for three weeks (6-9) and was sure I would lose it, but everything went well in the end (at least so far).

Well, I reached my magical 24 mark, so technically I cannot miscarry this one any more (it would be counted as stillbirth instead). Also, if I would give birth now (which I don't intende to do...) the little one would have a 1:4 chance of surviving...

On the positive side, I now feel him every day several times, which is so assuring. To be honest, it took me until now, to finally start to enjoy this pregnancy a little bit. It got continually better, especially after 12 and 20 weeks, but there has been a distinc change during these last days. I have finally accepted that this one might really make it!!!

When DP put his hand on my belly and talks to him, the LO kicks it - it's very cute. So, no need for TV in our household at the time...- instead belly watch. He doesn't do the same thing when I put my hand on my belly: so we have already established the job sharing: all the heavy work will fall to me and the playing to DH....

All the best to everybody!

Fingerbobs · 30/07/2007 12:58

Oh Glimmer what a fantastic message - I remember some of the stuff you posted early on really really helped me with terrible negative feelings so it's just truly magical to hear about BumpWatchTV.
Hope everyone else is hanging on in there (apart from Firststar who is hopefully pushing it out there, IYSWIM.....)

Mumpbump · 30/07/2007 13:31

Just a quick one as I was cleaning the kitchen until about 10:30 last night so am absolutely shattered today! Got the baby clothes down from the loft - no thanks to dh! - and the smallest sleepsuit (neck to toe) is about the same length as ds' body (neck to bottom). How tiny is that!!!

Firststar - pleased to hear that you're experiencing pain, iyswim! Sounds like your body is warming up which means that any sweep/induction is more likely to go smoothly if you do get that far. Chances are you'll have your baby by the end of the week at the very latest, I reckon!!

Spugs - I believe you can self-refer to EPU so I would call them. Cramping is not uncommon. I certainly had it a few times with this pg and was petrified it heralded bad news, but bubba is still hanging in there - 31 weeks today!!

Mumofmonsters - see above - try not to worry about cramping alone. Easier said than done, I know, but try to keep thinking positively...

Rainbow - as others have said, I'd try to hold out for a few days and then test. If you have another bfp, I think you probably are pg though!!

Glimmer - that is so cute that your bump is responding to your dh! Bubba is dh's fourth child so his level of interest in this pg is not terribly high! Every time I tell him bubba is moving and he puts his hand on my tummy, bubba goes still! What a perverse little baby!!

Myfirstbaby - glad to hear that the bleeding is less. If you had more on Friday and the lo was fine, I guess it is logical that it should still be fine with less. Fingers crossed for you - when is your next scheduled scan?

Hi to everyone else!!

Glimmer · 30/07/2007 13:51

Mumpbump -- good to hear from you. Already 31 weeks! Yes, it's noth our first, so we are very excited and unknowledgable about everything :-)

Fingerbobs -- thanks for your kind message. I had hesitated a little with my post because there are now a number of ladies here who are in the rollercoaster weeks and it can be hard to hear women sharing blissfull news IYSWIM. On the other side, it can be reassuring to hear that it can go well...

Rainbow -- sorry to hear about your difficult time. I so very much hope it will work out for you! I used quite a few ebay 10mIU/ml tests this time and they did not get darker for weeks, which contributed besides the bleeding to my worries. I have personally found the 'cheap' supermarket ones (again the 10mIU/ml) the most responsive.

Glimmer · 30/07/2007 13:51

both our first

Feedmenow · 30/07/2007 13:54

Mumof, yes, sadly I had horrendous ms with the pg which mc'd. Although I remember at 9 weeks feeling noticably less tired than I had, although still very sicky. It turns out the bubba had died at 8+2 yet I continued feeling ill until the ERPC at about 11+5. I know that this isn't at all what others would want to hear, and I am sorry about that cos I know that none of you need any more excuses to worry. So to me, nausea or no nausea, I'm just as worried whatever!

On a brighter note, the Sepia and sickness bands seem to be helping a little today. I don't feel great, but I certainly don't feel half as rough as I did over the weekend!

Spugs, I rang my EPU last Monday afternoon and told them I was concerned, and they saw me on Tuesday morning. IMO it is a bit of a waste of time going thru GP as he/she is really just the "middleman" in this type of situation. Ring them direct and get it sorted quicker.

Glimmer, I know it isn't anything to laugh about at all, but your post about the magic 24 and how you couldn't mc now cos it would be a stillbirth instead made me chuckle. You just sound so matter-of-fact about it! When we all know that mc or still birth - it would still be devastating! But I guess that your point is that they would actually try and do something about it now, so well done for getting there!

Well, although very, very, very early days, my dp asked me earlier about names! I told him it was already sorted () and told him my decision. Needless to say, he didn't like them! However, I had an opportunity to point out to him that our ds name is not one that I ever really wanted and even 5.5 years on I still don't feel happy with it (isn't that sad!) so dp has now said I can chose, but to please, please, please think v. carefully about it! So anyone with any horrendous ideas that I can wind him up with??

Anyway, am supposed to be working so better try and do something! Hope everyone is doing ok!

MrsMcJnr · 30/07/2007 14:14

Hey ladies hope you are all ok. I?ve had a horrible migraine but its easing off a bit now couldn?t face work with it and when I spoke to my boss he was less than sympathetic telling me to take some Vit C and did I have enough work to do whilst I was recovering! really motivates you!! Had a lovely weekend, probably tried to do too much hence the migraine.

Hey Firsty first thing I did after the weekend away from MN was to look for you ? it won?t be long now hon.

Hello Feedmenow your SIL sounds lovely, how caring. Sorry to hear that the MS is so crippling. We?ve been having a great time winding DPIL up about names ? we said Jesus for a boy (pronounced the Spanish way ? Hay-zeus!) and Concepcion for a girl, Connie for short! welcome to borrow!

My1stbaby ? sorry to hear about Friday?s goings on it must have really rocked you, we are here hon so share your wobbles with us it must have been wonderful to see your little one and to hear the heartbeat, very , still haven?t heard that! Hope to at MW appointment this Weds. So glad that LO is ok my advice is to stop temping NOW. I had a MAJOR freak out when I was 7+3 because my temp dipped below my coverline and I was convinced that was the end. Nowhere do the temping books really tell you what you should see on your chart past the first 2 weeks after OV. Promise you hon, it?s not worth the stress.

Rainbowdays [days] wow! This really is an emotional roller coaster for you, still holding on tight and promising not to let go of your hand until you feel much better! seems to me that you are just really early ? try not to test again until a few days after AF is due and I?m sure it?ll be a nice strong line! everything crossed! This time round, I got a BFN on the day my AF was due (11dpo) (cd28) and then got a BFP on cd31, 14dpo, when I would have been 4+2 I?ve also heard of people not getting a BFP until 17dpo so don?t give up!

Hey Uki & Fettle & Fingerbobs ?

Mumofmonsters ? I know how you feel! It was short lived though so enjoy the first few weeks of MS before it becomes a real drag. MS means good in most people?s book ? had virtually none last time round.

Hey Spugs I didn?t feel at all sick until 9 weeks and from what I hear, every pregnancy is different, even in one lady! keep smiling and having happy thoughts for your bean! sorry to hear about the cramps, I personally have had few cramps and I know now that they are down to ligaments stretching as opposed to anything bad, I could never mistake the MC cramps ? it really felt like a knife cutting through my insides. Hope you are ok.

Ejt ? glad you had a lovely time lots of movers and shakers here, most of the movers are new ladies joining us we?ve lost a few though we?ve been trying to take good care of the shakers and we?ve missed you

Hey Glimmer ? I am so happy for you magic 24 indeed! I?m 16 weeks tomorrow and am so glad that I have MW appointment on Weds and that she might listen to the HB. I know that movements should start soon but between my dating scan at 14+3 and my FA scan at 21 weeks ? it is the longest I will have gone without seeing the beanie and it scares the hell out of me. After the 21 week scan, I?ll have them every 4 weeks so that will help I can?t wait to feel kicks.

Hey Mumpbump ? must be lovely to be looking at those baby clothes! DH and I went to visit a friend I met on here and her newborn yesterday ? I was cuddling him thinking ? I am going to be holding one of these that?s all mine soon!

Glimmer · 30/07/2007 14:35

Hi MrsMcJ -- hope the migrane eases of a little. at your boss.

Feedmenow yes, it's interesting. Somehow in response to my fears I have first not told anybody (and I mean anybody but MNetters) and now that I can no longer hide it, I seem to develop a distinct black humour. E.g. Colleague: "How are you and how is the baby", me: "Still kicking" (which is a common expression for being alive in American I do not know if it used here). I wouldn't recommend it, but it does the job for me...

my1stbaby · 30/07/2007 14:51

Hi MrsMc-thank you for your lovely message. Yes, it was exciting hearing the little beanie's heartbeat but I was so weak with relief that I couldn't take it all in properly. Wish I had the sense of mind to get DH to record it on his mobile phone .

I'm still terribly nervous and yo-yo's madly between feeling fairly confident and freaking out. I have to consciously force myself to go to the loo as seems to be holding it in automatically. Have started having MS and feeling nauseauous all the time. But like feedmenow says, having MS doesn't mean that baby is fine. In fact with my previous m/c, I was much more sick after the baby has stopped growing. We have another app for a private scan next Tue. I am just holding on to that date and hoping that we'll make it to the scan. Would be make me feel less anxious if I stop bleeding .

Feedmenow · 30/07/2007 15:04

Mrsmc, just nearly peed myself laughing at Jesus and Concepcion!! Dp wanted to know what was so funny cos I had tears in my eyes (v, v unusual for me to laugh that much!) but I couldn't tell him cos then I won't be able to "use" them on him!!

BecklePhoenixBird · 30/07/2007 15:12

Hi all! Home from Scotland a little fatter than I was before and glad to see that in the main it has been good news on here. Welcome to all you new guys, hopefully you will be here for the long haul.
Rainbowdays - fingers crossed for you hun, sounds like a good chance you are pg to me. Some HPTs are more sensitive than others even when they are the same make! I got my BFP at 11dpo and it was very faint, it didn't darken until about 21dpo.
Firststar - still here! Sounds promising though so hopefully not too much longer until you can hold your LO!
My1stBaby and Haylstones - what an awful scare for you both! So glad everything okay though.
Griffin - so so sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my Mum to cancer last year but still remember like it was yesterday the day she told me it was not curable, it is hard to take in as you really do feel they will go on forever. I hope you and your family are holding up well and giving each other lots of support. I hope his treatment is sucessful and he has a good bit of time to spend with you all too. I am sure the stress will not harm your baby at all and even when you are low s/he will still take all s/he needs from you.
MumofMonsters - every pg is different when it comes to MS and unfortunately some of us do still get it even if we have had a mmc. I certainly did last year, it was awful and lasted until 12 weeks although baby had died at 5 . My MS this time was just as awful (compared to fairly little with my DSs) but I was constantly reassured by the fact it fluctuated a lot (with mmc it was the same all the time) and also by the lovely ladies on this thread!
Hi to everyone else, give me a few days and I will be back into the swing of this MN lark!
Had a lovely time away but have a suspected UTI, it came on a couple of days before I went (typically on a Friday so no chance to go to docs) and so I have drunk plenty of water and also some cranberry juice (bleugh!) but although it has eased it has not completely cleared. Had a lump of (TMI ALERT!) green, thick, snot-like stuff when I wiped on Saturday which panicked me a bit, I was worried the plug might have come away as DS2 had sat on me quite hard and painfully earlier in the day. Spoke to MW yesterday who said it sounded like an infection but nothing to worry about so scooted down to see her this morning and she tested my urine, apparently it has stuff in which would suggest an infection so got to drop another sample in tomorrow to be sent away and tested - will prob mean a dose of anti-biotics, lovely! Other than that all seems well, getting bigger by the day! In lovely comfy maternity stuff now although the over the bump trousers have to be folded across and safety-pinned! Hehe!

Fingerbobs · 30/07/2007 15:17

Feedmenow - we've used Ermintrude (which my DPIL is now using ) and also Lancelot or Guinevere.

Mumpbump · 30/07/2007 15:27

Hi Beckle! Good to have you back... You will never, ever manage to keep us with this thread - there are so many of us now!! Sorry to hear about the UTI, but at least it can be easily treated and has nothing to do with the pg - phew!!

Fingerbobs - Ermintrude is what my parents called my sister whilst in utero!! How funny...
