No sickness = boy? Any truth in this?

Hi all,

I was told today that lack of morning/noon/night sickness usually means you're having a boy. I'm 8+4 with my first baby and desperate for a girl (if we're having a boy I'll be delighted as long as he's healthy).

Does anyone know how much truth there is in this theory? I get ocasional, mild waves of nausea but not been sick or anyhting close. Two friends have said they're convinced we're having a boy on that basis! Your thoughts please?

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to update this thread. I went for my first scan last Wednesday and found I'm having twins :O

Why I've hd no sickness and not much nausea is anyone's guess. They're in seperate sacks so they'll be non-identical so we're hoping for one of each. I'm still in shock but it's slowly starting to sink in.

With my most recent pregnancy I had hardly any sickness and had a girl.
With my other pregnancies my sickness was awful, and they were all boys.

babystripes · 03/11/2018 21:00

I'm expecting a girl and already have a boy was nauseous but never sick with both only difference this time is my skin has been quit bad! But everyone's body reacts differently to pregnancy

abbsisspartacus · 03/11/2018 21:00

No

Lindorballs · 03/11/2018 21:04

First baby felt continuously sick every morning from 6-16 weeks never actually was sick. Had a girl
Second baby felt continually sick every morning from 6-16 weeks was actually sick once. Had a boy.
So no I don’t think there’s anything in it.
I didn’t “feel” different in either of my pregnancies but my bump was a very different shape and I had a weird skin reaction on my torso with my son. Different shape bump could have just been expanding faster in second pregnancy and a much bigger baby as he turned out to be.

Congratulations OP
