With your first pregnancy if you were TTC, and how old were you?

I know up to a year is normal, I know it’s dependent on many factors, but I’m just nosey and curious really!

Rather longer than the stories/warning my mum gave me in my teens!

Condoms etc never mentioned.

She was always concerned that I took my pyjamas when visiting my girlfriend.

But more seriously. Couple of years each for the first two and then a surprise for no.3.

FortheloveofJames · 11/10/2018 21:24

Stopped taking the pill and was pregnant 4 weeks later. 23 at the time

brizzledrizzle · 11/10/2018 21:38

Both in my 30s. Pregnant first time with the first, waited three years for the second and two years for the third.

buckingfrolicks · 11/10/2018 21:41

About 5 minutes.

MrsMartinRohde · 11/10/2018 22:28

DS1 - 4 months, I was 34
DS2 - 2 months, I was 37

Two pregnancies, two healthy babies, now age 9 and 6.

Sparkles1992 · 11/10/2018 22:38

First month trying, I'm 25 and 10 weeks

shalalala · 11/10/2018 22:46

First month both times at 30 and 32. Absolutely blessed and very lucky I know

Seafoodeatit · 11/10/2018 22:49

20 and 6 months which was a shock as I've always had trouble with my cycles due to pcos, it proved to be the case with no 2 though as that took 4 years.

Notwhoyouthink35 · 11/10/2018 22:51

I have four kids, and have never actually tried to conceive. I’ve fallen pregnant using condoms, on the pill and with a coil fitted. I guess I must just be very fertile!

PurpleFlower1983 · 12/10/2018 05:33

3 years exactly since coming off the pill. Started trying at 31 and conceived at 34 naturally just as infertility appointment with consultant came through.

SpeckledyHen · 12/10/2018 05:44

2 months the first time age 39
1 month the second time age 41

OrcinusOrca · 12/10/2018 05:50

About 16 months but I'd say we only actively tried for about 11 cycles in that time. Was diagnosed with PCOS so some long cycles and have a very supportive GP. Was on metformin for two months and had a hycosy then got pregnant that same cycle. I'm 26, not overweight despite the PCOS, but it still seemed to be causing problems.

cosytidy · 12/10/2018 06:43

At 31 took about 9 months to conceive my first. At 32 with my second it took 3 months.

ellesbellesxxx · 12/10/2018 06:46

Started ttc at 30. 2.5 years later conceived twins with ivf

Catra · 12/10/2018 08:04

Aged 39, conceived first month.

However, my daughter was born 14 weeks early, so it wasn't all plain sailing!

TallulahBetty · 12/10/2018 08:09

3 weeks after stopping the pill. I was 26. Incredibly fortunate

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 12/10/2018 08:18

Thanks all. You’ve encouraged us to wait until January to TTC just in case we do get pregnant first month Grin. We’ve got a weird window where we can try for 3-4 months, if it doesn’t happen then we’ll need to stop for 13 months before trying again, so fingers crossed!

Equimum · 12/10/2018 08:32

I was 30 and conceived on our third cycle of trying. Second time round, I was 32 and conceived first time. We were very lucky!

Frogletmamma · 12/10/2018 08:37

2 months 33.

Babbaganoush · 12/10/2018 08:41

We were very lucky...first month of trying. I was 27. I hadn't been on any form of hormonal contraception for about 2 years prior and I had been tracking my cycles so knew when I was due to ovulate etc.

bubbles092 · 12/10/2018 08:46

I was 24 and it only took 2 months.

Lost5stone · 12/10/2018 08:51

23, conceived first month after stopping pill after 9 years. I was lucky as I was obese too.

Elllicam · 12/10/2018 08:54

DS1 - happened immediately (31) DS2 - 6 months (33) DS3 - 1 year (35) DC4 (36) - first month.

RedStef1983 · 12/10/2018 09:03

Came off the pill at the end of April this year. Thought it would take a while to conceive after being on it for 18 years and I'd read it can take up to a year..........I was pregnant 7 weeks later 😊 Got my 20 week scan next week.
