With your first pregnancy if you were TTC, and how old were you?

I know up to a year is normal, I know it’s dependent on many factors, but I’m just nosey and curious really!

At 32 became pregnant first cycle, at 35 took 9 months which included a missed miscarriage.

ListenLinda · 11/10/2018 18:51

DD, 3 months after coming off birth control.

Currently pregnant for the second time, no idea how long as weren’t actively trying and taking off said birth control was very sporadic due to personal events at the time.

Luckystar1 · 11/10/2018 18:56

1st pregnancy- 2 months (I was 27), had MMC at 11 weeks.

2nd pregnancy- 4 months (I was still 27)

3rd pregnancy- 1 time having sex. I can tell you the EXACT date (not that you’d want it 😂). I was 29.

ILiveForNachos · 11/10/2018 19:00

1st = 2 years at age 35
2nd = first month of trying age 38

NoParticularPattern · 11/10/2018 19:09

fiadhflower · 11/10/2018 19:18

First month with three children at 27, 29 and 32. Then 3 months with twins at 39.

Breen86 · 11/10/2018 19:35

First month of trying, wasn't expecting or ready for it to be so fast! The second time it took five months x

Kescilly · 11/10/2018 19:45

While there’s a range of responses, I feel like it heavily skews to those who got pregnant quickly. They might be more likely to post here because it’s largely seen as a positive thing to get pregnant quickly when TTC.

It also isn’t going include all the people on the conception forum who have been trying much longer without success, of course.

Russell19 · 11/10/2018 19:48

9 months and I'm 26

SpadesOfGlory · 11/10/2018 19:56

13 months of trying with irregular periods after coming off the pill...conceived the first month I pinpointed ovulation successfully after a couple of well timed fertility ultrasounds! 15 weeks pregnant currently

Spooples · 11/10/2018 20:00

First month for me, age 28. Miscarried at 7 weeks. Tried again as soon as the bleeding stopped and got pregnant straight away again.

RidingMyBike · 11/10/2018 20:03

20 cycles charted - got pregnant on the 20th one. Very irregular cycles. Started trying aged 32, finally pregnant at 35, gave birth aged 36.

Saymaname · 11/10/2018 20:05

First pregnancy I was 27, DTD once unprotected.

Second, much more planned out, I was 32 and took 4 or 5 months and I was tracking ovulation.

sparkles212 · 11/10/2018 20:50

Fell pregnant on second cycle, age 30. Very lucky indeed as had no desire to have children really and just changed my mind around Christmas time and boom, pregnant more or less straight away.

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 11/10/2018 20:55

Around 10 months with DD, I was 26 when we conceived.

Hoping baby no.2 won't take quite as long but I know we were lucky in the grand scheme of things.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 11/10/2018 21:02

First month of trying with baby no 1 when I was 29. Baby no 2 we were TTC for over a year.

student26 · 11/10/2018 21:03

I was 26 and it took me over a year.

DramaAlpaca · 11/10/2018 21:07

DC1 11 months, I was 28
DC2 once, literally. I was 30
DC3 4 months, I was 32

Actually I think it’s the other way around. Most women don’t talk about it normally if they feel pregnant easily, because they know how upsetting it can be for those who are struggling to conceive .

Or they are embarassed to admit that their baby wasn’t planned, in case people judge them.

Same as most people on here don’t post about their happy marriages or their well behaved kids.
