With your first pregnancy if you were TTC, and how old were you?

I know up to a year is normal, I know it’s dependent on many factors, but I’m just nosey and curious really!

Really interesting responses, so varied.
Started ttc aged 37, took us 8 months using temping, ov test sticks etc.

mumofmunchkin · 11/10/2018 15:53

We've been really fortunate, each time it's taken one month - pregnancies at 27, 29 and 32

maxiflump1 · 11/10/2018 15:56

With my first it took nearly a year to conceive and I was 34.

I'm now 23 weeks at 38 with my second and fell pregnant at first attempt! Was expecting to take longer so was pleasantly surprised.

seanna · 11/10/2018 16:03

First one was unplanned!

Currently TTC #2 for me and #3 for him... Currently on our third cycle but missed my fertile window this month so extremely unlikely I'll be preggers

DDogMum · 11/10/2018 16:14

14 months, aged 32

Olderbyaminute · 11/10/2018 16:27

About 7 minutes.

Mammyofasuperbaby · 11/10/2018 16:31

First month with dc1 when I was 21 but have been TTC for over a year with no success at 24

DoAsDreamersDo · 11/10/2018 17:36

It took us 11 months from when I stopped taking the pill. I’ll be 34 when she’s born.

MrsGB2225 · 11/10/2018 17:43

29 and 31, first cycle for both.

ButAIBUtho · 11/10/2018 17:44

One night.

SleepyMcEdie · 11/10/2018 17:45

DS1 2 years exactly. Currently 16 weeks pregnant with DC2 and this one took 2 months.

reddressblueshoes · 11/10/2018 18:08

First pregnancy at 33 took 4 months, miscarried at 8 weeks
Second pregnancy 34 - 9 months after miscarriage, so realistically about 7 months of actively trying but looking back I think it took my body longer to recover from the miscarriage than I gave it: missed miscarriage that required an ERPC and I bled for a long time afterwards. Both times DH was working away sporadically mid-week and I think we may have missed fertile windows because of that.

userabcname · 11/10/2018 18:12

First pregnancy I was 29 and it happened first time
Now ttc #2 and on cycle 3. I'm nearly 31.

Madmarchpear · 11/10/2018 18:17

2nd cycle first.
I had one period after a year of breastfeeding then fell pregnant again. I did follow my cycle closely and did opk.

qumquat · 11/10/2018 18:18

GreenMeerkat · 11/10/2018 18:19

1st: Conceived 10th month of TTC at 27

2nd: Unplanned at 28

3rd: Conceived 2nd month of TTC at 32 (due next week!)

Angelil · 11/10/2018 18:22

First cycle aged 31 (and with PCOS too, if that helps anyone).

Rixera · 11/10/2018 18:27

Aged 19
Had sex once in about 6 months, was not menstruating due to anorexia, ridiculously low bmi, still somehow pregnant.

Will never trust those 'measure your body somehow don't have babies!' apps in my life.

Chrisinthemorning · 11/10/2018 18:29

Cam off the pill after ten years, had an immediate period, then that was it, conceived straight away age 28. Second time I had one proper period the pregnant, age 31.

helacells · 11/10/2018 18:42

26 it took 6 weeks

Gobletoffire · 11/10/2018 18:43

We were very lucky, age 27 1st cycle trying to conceive and got pregnant. I’m now 17 weeks. I had been tracking my ovulation for a few months prior to TTC.
