@India1819 do they know you're trying for a baby?? If so tell them that you're trying to detoxify your body as much as you can to help you conceive... it's not 100% true but also not 100% bull.

@youvegotafriendinme I am east anglia so will have a look if somewhere near me does an early scan. Didn't realise you could have one. Will definately research this thank you for the tip.

RiverMeadow · 15/09/2018 07:25

Is anyone else noticing any symptoms? The only thing I'm noticing is bad wind (gross!!) and my sense of smell is getting stronger?

BabySquid · 15/09/2018 07:43

@RiverMeadow yeah I also have bad wind 😷 that and my nips are so damn sensitive. Tempted on wearing a sports bra to bed.

TwinkleBear · 15/09/2018 07:45

@RiverMeadow I'm almost a bit worried but I haven't really had many symptoms. I don't think my sense of smell is affected. I do feel tired but I don't know if it's any more than usual. It's not the kind of extreme fatigue described in books. I felt queasy once or twice after eating something specific but then it went away with a few sips of water.

Keeping fingers crossed that this pregnancy goes well and little sweet pea is healthy and we just get lucky without bad symptoms!

Anyone else experiencing anything and how many weeks are you? I'm 6+1 day today.

TheHalfBloodPrincess · 15/09/2018 07:55

Boobs not sore but My nipples are permanently hard!

Also getting little waves of nausea a few times a day, and I’m fucking starving all the time.

I’m 5ish weeks and I savour every symptom - I had a mmc in April at almost 12 weeks and didn’t have any symptoms the whole time which was a huge red flag, so bring them all on!!!

TheHalfBloodPrincess · 15/09/2018 08:33

^ sorry, just want to clarify that the no symptoms were a red flag for me. I’d had 3 children already and each pregnancy came with a whole host of symptoms so I knew my last pregnancy was ‘different’

A lot of people don’t have any symptoms at all which is their ‘normal’ so it’s not to say that no symptoms = bad news.

Feel a bit crap for writing that now and hope I haven’t made anyone feel bad

gebs · 15/09/2018 08:41

I'm just constantly feeling cramps, which makes me feel on edge 🙈 I know it's suppose to be your body adjusting but it lit feels like my period is gona start at any moment, this is all new to me as well so I don't know what is normal. Got a wedding tonight, I'm driving us so I have my excuse ready 😂

xJune88 · 15/09/2018 08:45

I think I'm around 5 weeks. 3rd pregnancy had 2 miscarriages this year at 7 and 14 weeks. No symptoms yet so feeling anxious but feeling more positive about this one. Not ringing doctors until 8 weeks ish and we aren't telling anyone until 12-20weeks if we make it 🤞🤞🤞 goodluck everyone xx

EspressoPatronum · 15/09/2018 08:56

Literally the only symptom I have is cramp type feelings and now some lower back pain...

With my son I had sore boobs, nausea, insomnia... So feeling very paranoid so far this time!

Half blood princess don't worry, every pregnancy is different and you were just talking about your experience!

farminerbump · 15/09/2018 09:06

My boobs are ridiculous I'd gone up a cup size before I even got my bfp, I can't even touch them there so painful, I hoping that they ease off soon. I've been feeling really queasy for last 2 days and have a horrible cold (I'm blaming the cold on dh though)
Anyone got any good tips for getting past the nausea? I think work is going to suspect otherwise.

SundayGirlB · 15/09/2018 09:28

@gebs me too. Have had cramps from 3-4 weeks and a bad back just like my period. Every time I go to the loo I expect to see blood! Apparently unless they are severe this isn't unusual.

TheHalfBloodPrincess · 15/09/2018 09:31

Grapefruit juice has helped for me in the past. And eating!

India1819 · 15/09/2018 09:41

Survived the night out 🙌🏻 Confided in the bar man who had alcohol free sparking wine! I think my friends weren’t impressed when I dodged the club but they will understand when we can break the news! @sundaygirlb I feel exactly the same, keep getting period fear 🙈

BabySquid · 15/09/2018 09:51

@India1819 you're a genius. Hope you had a great night. And I'm sure they'll be overjoyed when you tell them. 🤗
I was going to surprise my bestest bestie with a FaceTime this morning, by showing her my test, but I only did a FRER and she wouldn't really get the two lines thing... so planned on a Clear Blue Digital but the bloody thing had a book error!! Think I did it too long 🙈 good job it came in a pack of two so I'll be going through with my plan tomorrow🤞🏻this one doesn't error too!!

Nice one @India1819 !!! I'm sure they'll be thrilled!

And don't worry @TheHalfBloodPrincess it's good to see what others experiences were. I am definitely worried by a lack of symptoms, boobs aren't too bad and haven't really had any morning sickness. Just praying that everything will be alright, most sites and apps say that it is around the 6-7 week mark that symptoms can kick in, but some are lucky and don't have them.

We'll be telling parents around the 13 week mark but I'll have to tell work earlier to be able to leave early for booking appointment and scan. So just another 7 weeks of worry until I can relax a bit at least.

Doglady28 · 15/09/2018 19:51

Hey, can I join?
Got a positive test this morning! For some reason though I don't quite trust it!!

My period isn't due for a few more days, but I did the test due to having symptoms and feeling rubbish last few days.

Should I call the gp?
Should I tell anyone?

My head is spinning!!

SundayGirlB · 15/09/2018 20:21

@Doglady28 congratulations! In terms of telling people- entirely up to you! We told parents at 5 weeks but no one else until we have the 12 week scan.

It terms of doctors it seems from this thread that different areas of the NHS do things differently - maybe call your GP for advice?

BabySquid · 15/09/2018 20:34

@Doglady28 maybe wait a few more days if you say you don't trust it?? Then do another. Have you told your OH?

Doglady28 · 15/09/2018 22:08

This was the test this morning. I'm just so worried about it being a false positive!

Just got Very first BFP!! Due May 2019 anyone else??
RiverMeadow · 16/09/2018 07:38

@Doglady28 looks like a positive to me!! The line will be light at first but still positive! Congratulations and welcome Smile

RiverMeadow · 16/09/2018 07:40

Also in terms of doctors I rang my GP and I have an appointment with the midwife on the day I turn 7 weeks. I've also booked an early scan for 6+2! Fingers crossed.

BabySquid · 16/09/2018 07:59

@RiverMeadow you may have low levels of hcg I think I do. My tests have all been quite faint, just done the CBD now and it only says 1-2 weeks when I know I'm 3 weeks (5+4 in gestational terms) don't worry about it. Two lines are two lines 😘

BabySquid · 16/09/2018 08:01

Sorry not @RiverMeadow I meant @Doglady28

Good morning! Just moved across from the ttc threads, had my bfp on Friday. I'm tentatively guessing I'm due in May, I had a miscarriage last month and havent had a period since so we shall see! At the epu tomorrow so fingers crossed everything is fine and they can shine some light on my due date! Very excited and nervous after the mc but definitely feeling some signs that this little pip is there🤰
