Lmao @Bettyhop! Glad to hear @BabySquid , sending good wishes your way. Congrats @Doglady28!!!! Yay! Exciting!!!!

buntingandstarcharts · 17/09/2018 18:37

Heyyy everyone! It's so nice to find this thread! We were trying for nearly a year and on Friday I got my BFP at 10dpo - it was so strong I was so shocked!! @RiverMeadow and @Bettyhop that probably makes us have similar due dates. I feel like I'm going to jinx this wonderful thing of contact the doc/say the word 'pregnancy' or 'due date'. It's ridiculous. I just want it to be ok! Anyone else feeling tired and moody despite also feeling like the luckiest person alive? Xxxx

buntingandstarcharts · 17/09/2018 18:40

Sorry - clearly can't type - meant to say.... I feel like I'm going to jinx this wonderful thing if I contact the doc or say the word 'pregnancy' or 'due date'.

Mummytoboyxx · 17/09/2018 18:42

Can I join? I’m 4+5, due 22nd May. It’s nice to read all the support on this thread and hoping to pick up some advice and hand holding along the way xx

SundayGirlB · 17/09/2018 18:56

@buntingandstarcharts we were trying for 11 months and thought it would never happen! Keeping it so low key as any excitement feels like tempting fate!

TwinkleBear · 17/09/2018 19:07

I fully agree @SundayGirlB , really trying to keep it lowkey. On one hand I really want to tell everyone but on the other hand, I really want to be sure first! Welcome and congrats on BFP's @Mummytoboyxx and @buntingandstarcharts !!!!

I've definitely been moody and crying a lot easier, but only minor physical symptoms so far here at 6+4.

Mummytoboyxx · 17/09/2018 19:29

Two of my friends on our WhatsApp group have just announced their pregnancies. Would love to share my news but it’s too early. Anyone else experiencing mild cramps? Not painful but uncomfortable? X

BabySquid · 17/09/2018 19:44

@Mummytoboyxx yeah I've been having dull cramp like aching. Apparently it's just your uterus growing. Nothing to worry about unless it gets worse.

Mummytoboyxx · 17/09/2018 20:07

Thanks @BabySquid. I’m trying to stay relaxed but had a mc about this time in April so it’s hard not to worry at every little twinge xx

alienm · 17/09/2018 20:50

I've had cramp feelings, but I think mostly trapped wind, seems to be a fairly common thing in pregnancy!

RiverMeadow · 17/09/2018 21:14

@buntingandstarcharts my EDD is 28th May, is yours the same?

I also feel really moody and tired! I'm trying not to let myself get carried away but I've been looking at pushchairs and baby clothes all night!! I can't help it!

Countrygirl94 · 17/09/2018 21:19

Hi can I join?
Got first positive on Saturday night.
We've been trying for just under a year, I thought I would be so excited and I am but I'm so nervous. App says I'm 4 weeks 3 days, we haven't told anyone and going to try not to till I have first midwife appointment at least.

I see others are having similar symptoms, the dull ache like period pain? I keep going to the toilet and expecting to see blood.

This is my first pregnancy, and now I've got the positive test I feel so clueless? Any one else got that feeling?

Mummytoboyxx · 17/09/2018 21:26

Hi @Countrygirl94. Congratulations on the BFP! I’m exactly the same as you. Really excited, but nervous every time I go to the toilet in case I see blood. X

Countrygirl94 · 17/09/2018 21:37

@Mummytoboyxx thank you!
Looking back the thread I see your a day ahead of me, my EDD is 23rd May! I'm also sorry to see you had a mc, it's totally understandable your more nervous.
Hopefully we can keep each other sane through the next few months 💕

Mummytoboyxx · 18/09/2018 05:45

Definitely @Countrygirl94 x

Mummytoboyxx · 18/09/2018 11:10

Does anyone still have the urge to POAS? With my DS I only did it 3 times and I was confident that I was pregnant and that everything was fine. So far with this pregnancy I’ve already got a collection of about 10 sticks, with the need to keep testing. I know it’s not just going to disappear without some warning but I feel like I have to reassure myself that I’m definitely pregnant! 😬

India1819 · 18/09/2018 11:20

I'm getting more and more nervous the more reading I do. I honestly didn't realise how common miscarriage was and on all the blogs i'm ready so many of the comments are women affected by miscarriage :( We told my DH parents on Sunday, really worried now that we've jumped the gun and trying my best to not get too excited.

I've booked to see my GP at 8+4 as that was the first available appointment although booked it online so didn't explain what it was for. Currently 6+2...it's going to be a long wait!!!

TwinkleBear · 18/09/2018 11:31

I'm definitely with you there ladies @Mummytoboyxx and @India1819 . I am so paranoid reading all the blogs and seeing just how common miscarriage is. This is my first pregnancy and I'm praying so hard for it all to go smoothly. Had some light pink spotting yesterday and really started to panic but thankfully it's stopped now. Have my first appointment booked for 10 weeks! Confused doctor said unless there's anything like heavy bleeding or pain I'll just be seen at 10 weeks.

I've done 3 sticks so far, and both clear blue sticks about a week apart said 2-3, and the last one I did was last Wednesday, so I'm going to do another tomorrow and hope that it goes up to 3+.

Don't know if it's worth it to book a paid early scan, maybe just go through the normal NHS process for first one. So excited but definitely very nervous!

EspressoPatronum · 18/09/2018 11:32

Congratulations on all the new bfps!

We've had a stressful weekend here, ended up in hospital with ds last night as he's not been well at the weekend, and already has low blood platelets following a virus a few weeks ago. Turns out he has tonsillitis but we have to go back next week for another blood test to check his parents and White blood cells as they were low as well. Really hoping it's just because of the tonsillitis and nothing more sinister 😣

I've had a tiny wave of nausea today! No other symptoms at all, so I've been feeling paranoid as hell... But that wasn't of nausea reminded me how awful the constant sickness was last time so I'd be more than happy for it to go away again!!

Mummytoboy I did 3 tests! If I hadn't lost the last one, I would do it now but I can't find it 🙄 baby brain has kicked in early this time!

Countrygirl this is my second pregnancy and I feel just as clueless as I did last time 🙈

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 18/09/2018 12:03

Hi everyone, tentatively joining you all I'm 4+5 today found out this morning, having major cramps and pains exactly like I did in my MMC in Feb so properly scared at the moment.
This will be number 3 for me and I'm 38

TwinkleBear · 18/09/2018 12:15

Welcome @Lovewinemorethanhusband and congrats on your BFP! Wishing all goes well and this ones a sticky bean! I had some cramping and pulling sensations when I found out at around 5 weeks for a few days. Now 6+5 and not many symptoms now except major moodiness.

India1819 · 18/09/2018 13:44

@Lovewinemorethanhusband congratulations, hope everything goes well for you.

I managed to get a last min Drs appointment over lunch so I'm now officially in the system and I have my Bounty pack! They booked me in with the midwife for when i'm 9+2 so the wait is back on but feels more real now!

Countrygirl94 · 18/09/2018 14:18

@Lovewinemorethanhusband congratulations, also hope your ds is on the mend now 💕
@EspressoPatronum you've made me feel better haha!
@India1819 risk of sounding stupid what's a Bounty pack?
Funny how things are different in different areas I phoned gp and they told me just to contact the midwife unit which I've done so now just have to wait for a phone call or letter with an appointment.
Also is anyone else's boobs killing them? Both are tender but right one is now way bigger, so much so that even DH has noticed.

India1819 · 18/09/2018 16:49

@Countrygirl94 I've not had chance to look over it yet but its basically a wallet to pop your maternity book in (which I also got today) along with a pack which I think contains a magazine, some money-off vouchers and other guidance documentation.

If you download the Bounty App when you are past 10 weeks you can go to Tesco or Asda and collect a pack with more freebies in. I think you get another one when baby is born and again at around 4months old. I'm al about a freebie! The app is also really good for guidance documentation and advice.

BabySquid · 18/09/2018 17:27

Hi ladies, bad news today, think I'm miscarrying. Coming off the thread. Wish the rest of you the best of luck for sticky beans this one just wasn't meant to be. Doesn't mean it doesn't feel absolutely devastating. At the drs on Thursday so see if he has reason for it.
