Just got Very first BFP!! Due May 2019 anyone else??

Just wanted to start a new thread for anyone who has just got their BFP.
What do I do now?
When do I phone the Drs?
Help would be great 👍🏻😃

Can i join? im around 6+5 and due early may.

lmp was 10th july so i have my booking in appt tonight as that puts me 8weeks+

but my cycles are v long and i know i got +opk on 10th aug so im def only around 6 weeks

Symptoms so far are nausea and sore boobs. lots of burping and just feeling worn out/crappy xx

Morning everyone, can I join? Got a surprise positive the day before yesterday (not due af until tomorrow but it was a very strong line!) and though we're happy about it, it's about a year before we were going to try for our second so a bit shell shocked as well!
I've felt a bit nauseous and super tired the past 2 days but not feeling sick today. I had morning sickness the whole way through with my son, I'm dreading having it again!! But so far not having the same symptoms- my boobs were really sore and I had terrible insomnia last time, even before I tested but so far with this one nothing like that, I'm just exhausted. Due 21st May according to conception date.

@Lilsquish welcome. I also have quite long periods so will be intrigued as to when they tell me I'm due. Have you had any symptoms yet?

Also... I'm a little worried about telling work, I only started on the 1st August so feel like I'm letting them down. When should I tell my manager? She's very approachable but like I say I feel like I'm letting her down a bit.

I hope this pregnancy is a lot nicer for you. Last time sounds like hell... I love sleep so insomnia is never welcome in my house lol) hope you don't get all that sickness too.

@lilsquish how long are your periods if you don't mind me asking? Mine are about 30 days and I ovulate later than the apps suggest so reckon im more like 4+3 weeks rather than 5+3.

I have no appetite at all today... And not feeling sick or as tired either.

Going to have to give in to my Paranoia and buy some more tests to do 🙈

Hey 👋 congratulations to everyone else.

Got my BFP on Thursday last week so I’m 5+ 5 with my second, EDD 10/05/19. Took nearly 2 years for DS and conceived on the first go with this one 🤞🏻
Got an early scan at 7+4 so waiting nervously for that!
I’m starving hungry and eating everything in sight, slight nausea and very sore boobs but so far it’s not too bad compared to DS!

How’s everyone else feeling?

@EspressoPatronum I know what you mean. I have another Clearblue to do at the weekend just to make sure as I'm still in disbelief... although it's all my hubs and I can talk about 🙈

@Youvegotafriendinme congratulations on your BFP. Can I ask why the early scan? Or are you just eager haha
Feeling pretty good except the sore nips, just wearing a bra is hard work tbh!! 😕 but I don't think work would appreciate me sat here with my white tshirt and no bra 😵😵

I had a horrible time with my first pregnancy. I had full placenta previa and had many big bleeds and scares. I feel more anxious this easily, this time around than with DS. I also had strong symptoms by 4 weeks and this time just mild so want it confirmed.

@Lilsquish I'm the same as you my lmp was 6th July and I decided not to check when ovulating as we have been trying for over a year now I wanted to try out the 'stop trying and it will happen' method (can't believe it worked)

Decided to do an opt on 15th August just out of boredom and the line was a lot stronger than I expected it to be! Not a full strong positive but a very clear line so I may have ovulated a day or two before hand?

Took a hpt on 23rd August as period had not came (which wasn't too unusual as cycles are from 30-60!) and was negative.
Took a hpt on 2nd September and got a BFP with clear blue saying 3+

I can't wait to get my first scan booked in to finally find out how many weeks I am!!

Can I join? I got a bfp on Sunday, took another yesterday that was darker, period due today so going to test again tomorrow and will call the doctors tomorrow if darker again as I have a pre existing med condition. It's my first, so this is all totally new to me! Congratulation on all the positives everyone

@BabySquid - nausea and sore boobs. Also just feeling pretty rubbish. insomnia as well

@SundayGirlB - my periods are all over the place. anything from 32 to 67 days. nightmare.

but i def got a +opk on 10th aug so pretty sure of my dates

Hey guys. So I'm booked in at the drs, next Thursday. I'm going to do one more test on Saturday just to make damn sure as I don't think it's fully sunk in (although it's getting harder not to tell people!!)
How are you guys feeling today? My sore boobs have gone, but been replaced with back ache 😕 I hope this subsides too. Xx

I had my letter today for my booking in appointment but annoyingly it’s on a Saturday and I work weekends so now I’m trying to change it which is easier said that did apparently!

I don’t have bad back ache today but I feel 5 months pregnant! My belly is so big already that I’m starting to question my dates

How far along are you now babysquid ? I caved and did another test today, got a very strong line. AF was due today so looks like it's actually happening despite not feeling at all sick, no sore boobs etc. Nothing like my first pregnancy!

I had a freak out yesterday but dh made me feel better by making jokes about it, and then when I went to bed he said 'love you... Oh and love you too' to my tummy. Ahhhh! Still no idea how we're going to manage with everything going on, but I guess we just will!

I believe I'm 5 weeks today.

We've made a plan to tell both set of parents at the month end. It's my MIL's birthday on the 29tg so we're getting her a 'guess what' baby grow as a gift... it's both sets first grandchild so I intend to tell my parents on the Friday night and his on the Saturday... both in one day will be faaaar too many emotions for me to handle haha

When I was pregnant with DS my symptoms were really strong and people knew by 8 weeks that I was pregnant. This time I won’t be telling anyone till as late as possible. Christmas would be ideal but don’t think I’ll hide it from my colleagues!

I told my mum today, dp knows, but not telling anyone else til 20 week scan which will be around Xmas/New Years time

@Youvegotafriendinme I really can't wait to see their faces!!
I think we plan on telling close friends on Halloween (pregnant skeleton tshirt!) but I'll only just be 12 weeks exactly on 31/10 so not sure if I'll have been for my first scan by then.
But then not going to announce to the world (ie FB or insta) until a LOT closer to the birth.

I know that no one will expect this, as after my first pregnancy being so utterly horrible, I vowed never to have kids again and then....here we are! I’d love to wait to 20w so I can check my placenta positioning. family I shouldn’t have any problems hiding that from as I work weekends but colleagues will know straight away I think!

Telling the wider family and close friends when I get to 12 weeks and then everyone else as late as we can. I still can't believe it!

I have my first midwife appointment on Tuesday, in hoping with me not knowing how far along I am that she will book me in for a scan quite soon, I am desperate to see and hear that everything is ok! I think if I have to wait a few weeks that I will book a private early scan just for a bit of reassurance.

I am struggling to keep it a secret now and Iv only known for 12 days so I think il be screaming it from the roof tops after my 12 week scan
