Hi all

Joined this thread (very) early on and just checking in!

37+1 and wondering how the hell that happened! Baby is more than welcome to make an appearance early after suffering with pelvic pain and now piles (sorry tmi) Sad

Still need to pack my hospital bag and make sure I actually have everything!

Marriageoftrueminds · 03/09/2018 16:41

Hello again!

Quick question - I was sick this morning out of the blue, I know it can be an early labour sign but I don’t have any other symptoms. I’m 37 weeks. Just curious to know whether anyone else has been sick? I was hardly sick in my first trimester although I did have very bad nausea. I’ve been having nausea again since about 32 weeks but this is the first time I’ve been sick!

snowy1982 · 03/09/2018 19:02

@itallhappens, my due date is Friday and have an appointment on Thursday and they’ll be offering me a sweep and I’m really unsure about whether or not to have one.

Good luck to all who are being offered induction or sweep. Not long to go. Looks like this weekend is quite busy 😉

Sushirolls · 03/09/2018 22:29

How exciting! Wishing you all luck, I can't wait to hear your great news when your little ones arrive 🎉

My DGS is due on Saturday and has an appt with her consultant on the Friday. Not sure if she'll be offered a sweep then, but I know she will say no if she is. She's due to see her mw the following Friday if he isn't here, and mw said she would be offering her a sweep. DD is undecided at the moment, whether she wants it.

Thinking of you all Flowers

I'm due 21st September am feeling excited and anxious in equal measure!! Been getting tightening, pelvic pressure, back ache and period type pains for weeks now on and off but am hoping little one will sit tight until due date! 🤞🏼 x

Mrshunterx · 04/09/2018 01:17

Just checking in being induced in the morning so nervous because I know what's to come. Blush There only giving me two pessaries as I was induced with ds the first time round so if that doesn't work il have a c-section, so baby should be here later on today regardless.

Good luck everyone x

Sushirolls · 04/09/2018 01:47

Good luck @Mrshunterx Flowers

BlueBug45 · 04/09/2018 07:00

@Mrshunterx was induced yesterday took just hours under 11 hours before babyBlue worm was born. Good luck!

beatbox01 · 04/09/2018 09:59

Due today going for 2nd sweep shortly! Really nervous coz husband works 3 hours away and am so scared incase I go into labour and he misses it all 😢 first labour with dd was 5 hours, been in pre labour from last week so really think this sweep today will move things on and am freaking out🙈

Mrshunterx · 04/09/2018 10:28

Thanks@Sushirolls

@BlueBug45 nice and quick! That's what I'm hoping for I'm dreading it. Thank you x

bluees · 04/09/2018 22:47

Congrats @Mrshunterx

njr1895 · 04/09/2018 23:04

Due date is 17th - being induced in the morning due to concern over baby’s growth 😏 Had a growth scan this morning and the growth hadn’t plotted where they would expect, possibly due to an inaccurate measurement the last time. Anywho, no chances are being taken and off to hospital in the morning we go! Think I have packed everything, am hoping to not be in for days! However first baby so we shall see!x

ichifanny · 05/09/2018 04:35

Good luck mrshunter and njr hope it was nice and quick for you both .

LucyLou19 · 05/09/2018 07:35

@belle81 why do you want baby to wait till due date? I’m same due date and want him here now xx

niclw · 05/09/2018 07:41

Good luck to everyone being induced.

Sushirolls · 05/09/2018 08:39

Congratulations @BlueBug45 🎉 Flowers

Belle81 · 05/09/2018 09:50

Lucylou19 - only just finished work so would like to have a little bit of time to relax and unwind before bubba arrives and want him/her to be the right size / weight but obviously they’ll come when they’re ready - not when I am! Smile x

Belle81 · 05/09/2018 09:51

@lucylou19

LucyLou19 · 05/09/2018 10:17

37 weeks is full term so they’re healthy and strong enough to come then 👍🏼 I finish work tomorrow, hooray 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Can’t wait! Want baby here weekend haha xx

ichifanny · 05/09/2018 16:16

I’m just finishing getting bags ready for my c section tomorrow , got to be at the hospital at 7am 😬 , had steroid injections last few days and I’m bright red and flushed and agitated feeling , can’t wait to get this baby out and meet them .

Sushirolls · 05/09/2018 16:47

Good luck @ichifanny 🤞 I look forward to hearing your wonderful news X

Re sections, am I right in thinking that you can now request one without a medical need? DD really does not want a sweep and was thinking of asking for a section instead. She feels better/more prepared that way, rather than attempting sweeps that possibly won't work. I'm also awaiting surgery so knowing when DGS is coming would help me make sure I'm around to help. Also, do they tell you the date? Or can you request a specific one?

TIA x

LucyLou19 · 05/09/2018 17:01

@sushirolls at a c section is a major operation I don’t think you can just request them just so it’s convenient for you to know the date, they only do a c section where I am for medical reasons and th they don’t give you a date till after 39 weeks they just ring you and say come in xx

Sushirolls · 05/09/2018 17:12

@LucyLou19 when I had mine that was the case.. only for medical or emergency reasons, but I thought criteria had changed now and you had the right to request one x

DGS is due on Saturday, so DD would be over 40 weeks by then X She is also going to be relying on DH and I a lot for support, hence it would help having a date xo

ichifanny · 05/09/2018 17:19

I’m only getting one as I can’t contract due to previous T incision section definitely would t out myself through the recovery of I could avoid it , already dreading the crap analgesia you get offered
