I’m not using an app I’m afraid, i’m doing classes. Good luck to your DD!

Sushirolls · 23/08/2018 18:53

Thank you X To you too Flowers

Flamingo84 · 23/08/2018 21:02

@Sushirolls I used the 3 free downloads associated with a book on Penguin publishing website at www.penguin.co.uk/articles/book-talk/mindful-hypnobirthing/

I didn't bother getting the book as the reviews seemed to say that it was full of positive birth stories rather than hypnobirthing exercises.

As your DD is a bit further along I'd get her to listen to them a few times a day if possible. The 20 min relaxation one is great for bedtime. I fell asleep to it on several occasions! The other two are only 3 mins so great for just a little positive boost through the day.

Hope she finds them useful Flowers

Flamingo84 · 23/08/2018 21:04

Congratulations @Lostmybaubles enjoy your little one! Flowers

bluees · 23/08/2018 22:01

@LostMyBaubles congrates for your arrival. I hope you and baby are doing well x.

bluees · 23/08/2018 22:04

@Flamingo84

Thanks. Will try to relax when its my time. Currently i am 36+3.
3rd September will be last scan when dr will decide weather to induce (coz of gestational diabetes) or wait for natural labour. So atm i am just trying to relax and counting days. Wink

itallhappensforareason · 24/08/2018 08:10

Congratulations @baubles! 💐

snowy1982 · 24/08/2018 08:51

Am now officially on maternity leave, out of office is set, emails turned off on my phone, now to get the house squeaky clean for LO arriving..... Grin

Mrshunterx · 24/08/2018 14:18

Atleast you can relax now @snowy1982 how is everyone coping? I'm 37 weeks today and feel like I've been hit by a bus and look like I have to Grin I keep having contractions in the car when oh is driving but they stop after a while! X

itallhappensforareason · 24/08/2018 15:27

Yay @snowy, I bet that is a relief! I've been off for 4 weeks already I have no idea where the time has gone 😳 I want/need to give the house a really good clean but struggling to find the energy at the moment. Might make a start tomorrow....

I feel pretty OK to be honest. Just really tired and struggling to sleep at night due to aching hips and needing a wee all the time. I've had period-like pains on and off for the last few days and had midwife yesterday who said the head is engaged. Praying I can hold on until at least 1st September 🤞

snowy1982 · 24/08/2018 15:36

Got all the downstairs windows cleaned this morning and am now just up after a 2 hour ‘nap’ Smile.

I’m really struggling with sleep as well so my plan is to do my busy work in the mornings then chill/snooze in afternoons

OP posts:
itallhappensforareason · 24/08/2018 15:54

I can't seem to nap during the day! I've tried a couple of times but just can't do it. Hoping I will be able to once baby is here as I've been assured I will need it. I've been doing things in the mornings too and then just chilling the rest of the day. Also invested in a slow cooker which has been a god send.

orphanblack1 · 24/08/2018 17:20

I really want the house clean but can't cos of SPD!!!!! OH being a bit resistant to doing it even though he took today off to pursue one of his hobbies which am a bit annoyed about but will bite my tongue!!!!

Sushirolls · 24/08/2018 18:52

Thank you @Flamimgo84 Flowers

I hope things are going well with your little one 💕 and you too @LostMyBaubles xo

DD is struggling to sleep too, I really feel for you all Flowers

DD has started on the Raspberry Leaf Tea today & purchased a ball to bounce on... MW today also advised her to get her bf to do his part, to help labour 😉😂 as she really doesn't want to be induced. DD is 38 weeks tomorrow, the countdown is on 👍🤞 x

niclw · 24/08/2018 19:49

I'm struggling with sleeping at night too but have found that if I have a nap in the daytime then I usually have a worse nights sleep that night so am trying not too. I'm sure I will when baby is here though.

I keep thinking I should employ a cleaner to do a thorough clean of my house before baby comes but everyone assured me that I'll suddenly want to do it. I hate cleaning usually and don't see it changing. I've found that I get back ache when I hoover so another reason not to do it😀.

How is everyone finding the Braxton Hicks? I found they are fine unless I go to Tesco and for some reason when there it's really uncomfortable and I have to stop until it passes. I now use a trolley for even a few items so I have something to lean on x

Didsomeonesaybunny · 24/08/2018 20:31

I’m in slow term labour. Currently 2cm dilated. Nurse said that in her experience this can go on for weeks. Cramps are pretty painful at the moment. Hoping to be sent home shortly as I’m fed up of being in hospital.

Sushirolls · 24/08/2018 20:58

Ooh @didsomeonesaybunny Flowers hope you're not in too much pain and established labour kicks in soon X

Good luck 🍀

orphanblack1 · 24/08/2018 22:44

Good luck!

I’ve just had 2 bouts of diarrhoea so wondering if it might be a sign. Am hoping not as wanted him to hold on until 1 sept!

snowy1982 · 25/08/2018 07:22

@orphanblack1, I have been having diarrhoea every morning for about 2 weeks now, only ever in the morning. So if it’s a sign it’s a very long running sign for me

OP posts:
orphanblack1 · 25/08/2018 08:06

Yes I’m def not in labour!!!! Poor you - 3rd trimester sucks!!!

snowy1982 · 25/08/2018 08:25

Could be worse, it could be constipation. I had that really bad in 1st trimester and was expecting to suffer from it at this stage too, so far it hasn’t appeared again. I think this is the less of 2 evils

OP posts:
Marriageoftrueminds · 25/08/2018 09:37

I have diarrhoea too! I’m 35+5 and I’ve had it for almost a week now. I’m really worried it’s the start of labour but it doesn’t seem to be so far...!

Mrshunterx · 25/08/2018 09:57

wish I had diarrhoea I'm badly constipated over here! Not fun.
We went to the hospital at 1 this morning hadn't felt much movement throughout the day. There inducing me around 38 weeks so now I just need to decide whether to get induced or have a c-section.
I was hoping for a normal birth this time round I wanted to do the dash to the hospital but seems like I won't get to again. Sad

Didsomeonesaybunny · 25/08/2018 13:51

Hey ladies, baby still hasn’t made an appearance, midwife said this could go on for weeks. I’m out of the hospital now resting up. I’m only 35 weeks so I’d rather reach full term. Going to go for a walk later as I am in a little pain so hope this eases it.

Yourenotcrazyitsyourmother · 25/08/2018 23:31

Am 35+ 2, due DS3 on the 27th, can I join this thread? Am soooooooooo fed up of being pregnant 🤰 just want it done with now...
