@Mumtobe34, which Seven Seas type did you use? It's good to know you haven't had any problems. I'd ideally like to take something like that to make sure baby has everything.

@ballanj, thanks for your reply. That's good that you've had no issues with Pregnacare. I do take it on a full stomach so wondering if it just doesn't after with me for some reason. Good to know that vit D and folic acid on their own are ok though too

melissa112 · 03/08/2018 14:48

@Ridiculouslyordinary sorry to hear your feeling sick all the time too. are you managing to keep much food down?

Mumtobe34 · 03/08/2018 15:07

@melissa112 these ones...

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 03/08/2018 15:09

@Mumtobe34 and @Melissa112, I take those Seven Seas ones too. I haven't been sick once and have only felt nauseous a few times. Not sure if it's got anything to do with the tablets, they have got added ginger to keep sickness at bay though!

Mumtobe34 · 03/08/2018 15:38

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever same as me then, not being sick but had waves of nausea, especially worse in the evenings. I wonder if it's got something to do with the baby's sex like some tales say, no boobs change no morning sickness... I have the feeling it might be a boy, that's what the Chinese calendar says, only a 50% chance of being wrong 😅

I used to be more active but I don't even walk as much these days. I've been considering starting yoga classes, although I've read they don't recommend it during the first trimester. Anyone has a bit more info on this?

Angelmiracle · 03/08/2018 15:47

@Mumtobe34 I don't know about yoga but my Pilates instructor holds pregnancy pilates from 12 weeks on too. I don't know if there's a specific reason. I assumed they wouldn't take the risk in early pregnancy maybe insurance purposes?!

Ridiculouslyordinary · 03/08/2018 17:07

@melissa112 yeah I haven't actually been sick at all on fact the only time I don't feel sick is when I'm eating but I only really fancy eating beige processed food and usually cook every meal from scratch! Literally have no energy at all aswell!

cardboard33 · 03/08/2018 17:53

@melissa121 I'm only taking folic acid (the 5mg dosage) and vitamin D, which I've been taking since we started trying. I have epilepsy so am very much in the system (had pre conception counselling, bloods done regularly, tubes scanned for cysts, husband had his sperm tested etc) and I've asked if I should be taking anything else and everyone keeps saying no, they're not worth the money ... So I'm not bothering. Got an early scan on Tues due to apparently being "high risk" because of said epilepsy etc so will let you know if they say anything different. One of my friend's said that pregnacare made her sick as she had loads of spare and was like "I won't give you these as they just made me ill" so there could be truth to it?!

Mumtobe34 · 03/08/2018 18:09

@Angelmiracle thanks for the reply. I've never done Pilates either, I might give it a go after I return from my hols in September (if everything goes well and I pass my wks 10, 11 and 12,🤞🏼)

HidCat · 03/08/2018 20:13

@TheWanderlust how did your booking in go? Mine went well, only concern is my asthma which I'm being referred to a consultant for and low blood pressure.

@ballanj I'm another waiting for the Nuchal scam at 12 weeks. Only 4 weeks to go, not that I'm counting...

@Rachael321 I had that in a previous pregnancy and man did it freak me out. Cervix is more sensitive so it's most likely just that. Congratulations by the way!

TheWanderlust · 03/08/2018 20:53

All seemed fairly straight forward @HidCat
My MW is the senior in the local team and seems really lovely. She will stay with me until handed over to health visitor now.

Have a consultant and perinatal referral for my mental health... mainly around anxiety and because OH family have history of congenital heart defects/ my family have history of twins.

Scan letter should be in the post Monday... told to expect approx 3 week wait.

Also got appointment booked for 16 weeks

ballanj · 03/08/2018 21:40

@Rachael321 @HidCat
I happened to mention to my other half last night before we dtd that he should be careful of my cervix as I don't want any bleeding to add to my ever growing anxiety. Probably a bit of a passion killer but still...! 🤦🏼‍♀️🙊

Funnybunnyfluff · 03/08/2018 22:23

Has anyone had cramping? First time tonight I have cramp in my right side of my belly.
Can feel it when I breath out. Keeping me awake.
Hopefully it's normal.

PurpleFlower1983 · 03/08/2018 22:49

I had cramping from weeks 5-8, felt like period pains. I was getting it down my left side which made me concerned about ectopic but all was fine.

Funnybunnyfluff · 03/08/2018 22:56

I have just sat on the loo for a while and think that has sorted me out, however it didn't feel like a loo pain.

I feel like I'm getting paranoid. Any kind of pain makes me panic.

Note to self... chill

Rachael321 · 03/08/2018 23:56

@ballanj @hidcat
After more bleeding earlier on that was a little heavier than the other night I gave in and called nhs24. They sent me to out of hours clinic who checked me over and said all seems ok could just be from irritation or the neck of the womb opening slightly to adjust. But the bleeding I've had as it's been sporadic and relatively light and not constant and getting darker and with no pain anywhere they said they don't see why it won't be a viable pregnancy but they've told me to call the epu in the morning to go in for a scan and see midwife just to be on safe side

PurpleFlower1983 · 04/08/2018 05:10

Hope all is well Rachael321. X

Mumtobe34 · 04/08/2018 05:25

Hope it's nothing to worry about @Rachael321 Think positive, on the plus side of things you'll see your little baby on the early scan and get reassurance that everything is fine, I'm sure. Sending positive vibes your way

Mumtobe34 · 04/08/2018 05:31

I had the mistake of having pizza and chips for dinner last night. The slow digestion and the heat are keeping me awake 😕 I don't know you girls but I'm so constipated... it might go twice a week to the loo, my body it's retaining all what I eat 🙈 (sorry for TMI)

Minichuch · 04/08/2018 08:11

Woke up at 2am with absolutely wicked heartburn - so bad I thought I was gonna puke - thank goodness I'd picked some antacid up - this pregnancy is defo completely different to my last

HidCat · 04/08/2018 08:21

@ballanj it really is lol. And the burping too!

@Rachael321 fingers crossed all is well. Glad you're getting checked to be on the safe side.

@Mumtobe34 I swap between constipation and diarrhoea. It's horrible.

Had an awful episode of dry heaving last night. Was just going to bed and it hit me. Managed to calm it down with antacids but that's the first time I've had anything more than nausea and it was horrible.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 04/08/2018 08:50

@Funnybunnyfluff I had pains on my left side between my hip bone and belly button. I told the midwife during my booking appointment and she said that if it comes and goes it's fine. If it's constant and the pain gets worse then they start to worry.

@Mumtobe34 the constipation is awful! I haven't had a decent pop since my BFP. 😂

Funnybunnyfluff · 04/08/2018 09:06

Ah nice to hear, it has gone this morning so I will not worry.
Thxs for the reassurance

Rachael321 · 04/08/2018 09:46

Latest news... ive spent nearly 2 hours trying to get through to the epu!! Keep getting bounced about departments and operators. Been given 4 different apparent direct numbers from the switchboard and all of them are just ringing out! Anyone any info of the epu in Glasgow? Either at the royal or the queen Elizabeth??

Sophlou · 04/08/2018 10:25

@Rachael321 I work at a hospital and the one where i work the EPU is only Monday to Friday for out of hours you would need to speak GAU gynae assessment unit, I'm not sure if they have a unit like that at your hospital. Good luck.
