@sictransitgloria same here boobs and tiredness!! I had bad nausea with DS and I lost 2 stone by 20 weeks so I'm wondering is it going to start?? Then I think maybe it's a girl it'll be different?! But the assumption is that you should be sicker with a girl than boy 😥🙈

Ridiculouslyordinary · 02/08/2018 21:32

@angelmiracle aw that's ia amazing after 5 years, no wonder your dying to tell people! I'm the same with tiredness, usually I stay up late but I'm in bed every night by 9! Not sure about ovary pain but I get the odd mild twinge and cramp! Mainly I'm just I'm an irritable/emotional mood but that could be also due to giving up vaping 😐

Charlotte1x · 02/08/2018 21:37

Hi everyone! I’m just under 7 weeks... anyone else getting very bad indigestion/acid reflux?! It’s something I had previously suffered with anyway and was on medication for, and since being pregnant it’s so so bad :( lost my voice slightly today from it and it makes me feel very sick. I always associated it with later pregnancy, not this early! X

CobaltRose · 02/08/2018 21:39

@Charlotte1x, I'm almost nine weeks and have been getting horrible heartburn/indigestion for about a week now. I'd never had it before pregnancy!

Mumtobe34 · 02/08/2018 23:27

Hi everyone,

I've been away from my phone for a bit, busy taking care of DH (really good timing to get food poisoning... 🤢), at work or sleeping... Tiredness is still my worst symptom, I have had to slow down a bit, can't cope... 😅

Congrats to those that had been able to hear a heartbeat 💗 and welcome to the new mummies to be ☺️

I met my MW last week, everything was good apart from high carbon monoxide reading (anyone??). I recon it could be bc I walked to the doctors and the roads were busy... anyone 12w acabo booked for 22nd August 👏🏼 (EDD 5/3/19)

anyone 12w acabo booked* = Anyway 12 w scan booked!

melissa112 · 03/08/2018 05:51

Hi all,
Is anyone taking Pregnacare vitamins and how are you getting on with them? I'm convinced they are making me feel more nauseous. I didn't take them for 2 days and just took a folic acid and vitamin d supplement and actually managed to eat something other than crackers or ice pops.

I thought I'd try the liquid version yesterday to see if that was any better and about half an hour later I felt incredibly sick again and feel horrendous still this morning.

Is it ok to just take vitamin d and folic acid? I'm just worried that with feeling nauseous I'm not getting all the other nutrients that baby needs Sad

AceyMac13 · 03/08/2018 06:34

Hi all, 6+1 today and these headaches are horrible! Nausea comes on in waves, although it was all day nausea yesterday which was fun! My early scan is next Friday the 10th, I can’t wait and I’m just hoping everything is okay. I’m Hoping my midwife will contact me soon, I self referred a couple weeks ago but haven’t heard anything yet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Charlotte1x · 03/08/2018 07:01

Morning, got another worry on my mind!
I’ve woken up without any pain in my boobs and no sicky feeling. This happened last week and then the symptoms came back. Boobs are still bigger, just no pain. Is it normal for the symptoms to fluctuate like this? I’m 7 weeks tomorrow x

HidCat · 03/08/2018 08:06

@Charlotte1x yes it's normal. Doesn't help with anxiety though. I've got my booking appointment today, feels like I've been waiting forever but it's finally here!

My hubby is moaning at my lack of interest in dtd. I'm just wiped out and it's really frustrating that a) I really don't want to and b) the fact that he's upset by it / doesn't get it. Hopefully I get more energy soon.

TheWanderlust · 03/08/2018 09:06

@HidCat I'm exactly the same. When we were away on holiday last week OH wanted to dtd continuously and I was just not feeling it at all. Feeling way too tired 💤

Good luck with booking in today, I am booking in too!

Angelmiracle · 03/08/2018 09:10

@Charlotte1x I'm the same. 6+5 no boob pain yesterday but still massive. Wasn't nauseous yesterday. But was exhausted by 6pm and when I lay on my tummy in bed then boobs were sore. It's very confusing.

PurpleFlower1983 · 03/08/2018 09:23

I’m 10 weeks now and finally the morning sickness is starting to ease! Weeks 7,8 and 9 were the worst! Anyone else starting come out the other side?

TurquoiseWeekend · 03/08/2018 09:48

I'm 10 weeks today @PurpleFlower1983 and have felt a little better for a few days. Still the odd bout of nausea, but I've not been dramatically rolling around and crying like in previous weeks 😂😂
Still so tired though. And have a horrible taste in m mouth all the time.

ballanj · 03/08/2018 10:48

@melissa112
Hi there, I'm also taking pregnacare. I found they made me feel sick or gave me a stomach ache if I didn't take them on a full stomach. They also make me a bit more constipated so try and up your fibre intake if you're having problems in that area!! I had my booking in on Monday and the midwife said to take vitamin d and folic acid. I think so long as you've got those at the very least you should be okay. X

ballanj · 03/08/2018 10:55

So after much deliberation me and the OH didn't opt for an early scan in the end. This is our first pregnancy, no previous issues and given all is well to date, we're going to wait until our nuchal scan on Thursday 30 August. Which seems like an age away at the moment. The count down is on! I've seen lots of ladies on here who have opted for early reassurance scans for numbers of reasons. Are any other ladies who are having their first doing the same as me and just waiting until the 12 weeks (although my dates mean I'll be a day or two shy of that when the time comes) xx

Charlotte1x · 03/08/2018 11:32

Hi @ballanj
I’m in the same position really, been trying to decide whether to just wait for the 12 week scan or go for an early one privately. I had lots of severe cramping which I was worried about but I had my first appointment with the midwife on Wednesday and she wasn’t concerned in the slightest. The pain has started to subside now so I too am just going to wait for the 12 week scan. It’s booked for 5th September which feels like a lifetime away! X

Angelmiracle · 03/08/2018 12:17

@ballanj @Charlotte1x this is my 2nd but also waiting to 4th Sept! Didn't even enter my head as an option 6 years ago with DS and 4 family members expecting now all waited for the 12 weeks.

h0dgeheg · 03/08/2018 12:46

Hello! I'm 8+4 and feeling amazing! Joke, my life is eating beige things, wretching at every single smell and sleeping.

Got my booking in appointment in about 10 days, hopefully followed soon after with the first scan. I've also decided against an early scan, they're expensive (I only looked at Mothercare) and we have no reason to think anything is wrong.

Rachael321 · 03/08/2018 12:51

Hi all joining in here... I'm 6+3 and due 26/3/19. First timer here so just getting used to everything.
Not really had any symptoms other than being tired alot and having aching boobs!
Had a fright the other night with bleeding after sex but it wasn't alot and was gone by the morning apart from slightly pink so hoping all ok.
Booking appt on 27th Aug and scan on 13th Sept. Can't wait! I'm awful with secrets and just want to tell everyone!!

Hopefully will will be fine.

Mumtobe34 · 03/08/2018 13:51

@ballanj @Charlotte1x @Angelmiracle @Funnybunnyfluff same here, first pregnancy and opted to wait for the 12w scan on 22nd August

Mumtobe34 · 03/08/2018 13:56

@melissa112 I'm taking Seven seas, so no experience with pregnacare. I don't feel any problems. I have read other threads here were some complain about pregnacare. It might be worth switching to another brand and see if that helps?
The bounty folder I got at my first app has a weeks worth of pregnacare tablets, I think I won't risk taking them just in case

Ridiculouslyordinary · 03/08/2018 14:38

I'm taking the pregnacare tablets, when I remember that is! I feel sick pretty much all the time, haven't noticed if it's better when I don't take them but I don't think it is!

We've decided to wait for our scan too even though the 4th September feels a life time away right now!
