@Rachael321
I hope you manage to get through to someone soon, I'm sure it's all fine but understand you want to make sure, as I would too! Keep us posted won't you x

Rachael321 · 04/08/2018 13:19

@ballanj
I got through after over 2 hrs trying. Spoke to auxiliary/receptionist who took my details etc and said that midwife would call me back. That was 3 hours ago!! I called an hour ago asking how long i would need to wait to be told that it is a clinic with the midwife returning calls inbetween so no idea how long I'd wait to get called back but that my info is on her desk... Hmm

Mumtobe34 · 04/08/2018 16:23

@Rachael321 irritating when you want a quick answer but nothing works fast on a weekend...

@HidCat hope you feel better now. I realised I should eat little snacks every couple of hours to keep the nausea away... but I forget about eating, not a massive appetite atm

HidCat · 04/08/2018 20:00

@Rachael321 I hope you've heard back by now. Keeping everything crossed for positive news.

@Mumtobe34 I've felt good today. Had a good catch up with some friends with a BBQ. Hopefully last night was a one off.

MrsLCW · 05/08/2018 09:45

Ladies I'm freaking out this morning. After two MMC, one at 9 weeks and one at 20, I've woken up with zero symptoms all of a
Sudden after suffering from really bad sickness etc and I'm in panic mode. Has anyone else had this? X

HarlennJerome · 05/08/2018 10:12

@MrsLCW they do fluctuate, some days I've felt terrible, then the next absolutely normal and panicking, then it comes back. It is a sign of MC but it can also be normal and your body adjusting.
Yesterday I was feeling not ill at all and mentioned to my DP that I felt fine and was anxious, then an hour later vomitted for the first time. 👍🤦

Nausea’s definatly here. The little and often mantra seems to be working! I’m definatly getting boy-vibes, I almost medicinally needed a bag of crisps yesterday.

Rachael321 · 05/08/2018 12:22

Finally got a call back from the epu 5 hours after I spoke to someone. They said it sounded like and implantation bleed and to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse or if I'm in any pain then to call nhs24 or go to a&e if it's really bad. And they booked me in for an early scan next tuesday.
A couple of hours later the bleeding seemed worse and I had pain in my lower back that felt like it was radiating round to the front. Called nhs24 and was sent to out of hours again. Doc checked me over and seemed concerned that I had pain on my left side when she pressed (pretty hard might I add!) And said that she couldn't rule out ectopic! I was then sent to the gynaecology dept as an "emergency" to be seen by one of the doctors there. They took blood and i was examined again including internal. Didn't seem concerned about the blood I was losing Confused and ruled the pain down to muscle and strains and tension. And again said to keep an eye on everything and to try and relax and if it gets worse or I'm concerned then call the ward or the epu or just to go in and see them. He is going to get in touch with the epu to get me in and seen to aswell.
So not really any further forward still bleeding and still very worried but I guess it's just a case of wait and see now Hmm

Thanks all for well wishes Smile

HidCat · 05/08/2018 13:15

@Rachael321 I'm sorry you don't have any answers yet. I hope your scan shows good news.

Rachael321 · 05/08/2018 13:21

@hidcat thanks. Finding it so hard to stay positive. Can't help but think the worst!

Angelmiracle · 05/08/2018 15:58

@Rachael321 I am sure you are worried sick. Fingers crossed for you that it's one of those random things and all is well with baby 🤞☘

Sictransitgloria · 05/08/2018 16:13

Had an early scan today. From LMP, I am 6+3 but according to the scan I’m approx a week or few days less. Couldn’t see much but was shocked to see a heartbeat at this very early stage, esp as the foetus(?) was measuring at 2mm. Teeny!

angel0071987 · 05/08/2018 16:31

@Rachael321 Thanks hoping everything is ok for you. Our epu will only see people if suspected ectopic and ignore all bleeding so I'm glad you're getting a scan and have been seen by gynae who don't seem concerned. Hopefully you can rest and (try) to relax until you know more.

VillageFete · 05/08/2018 17:29

@Rachael321 Sorry to hear things have been so worrying. There’s nothing worse. Best of luck for the scan.

@Sictransitgloria Amazing! Bet you feel a real sense of relief.

I had a scan on Fri. Could only see the pregnancy sac and yolk sac. The lady said I was only 5-ish weeks. Having another scan this coming Saturday. I’m terrified. I just desperately want to see the heartbeat!

Also, my nipples aren’t as sensitive today as they have been in previous days. Should I worry? I feel like all i’m doing is bloody worrying. Roll on 12 week scan!!

BuffaloGiraffe · 05/08/2018 22:18

I’m so sorry many of you are stressed at lack of symptoms right now, mine are coming and going in waves and certainly did in my last two pregnancies too. Try not to panic, easier said than done I know! The first twelve weeks are especially stressful I think.

@Rachael321, what a worry for you! I’m glad they’ve booked you in for Tuesday, I’ll have everything crossed for you that it’s good news.

@Sictransitgloria,so teeny! Congrats on your little heartbeat.

@VillageFete, you must be feeling pretty worried after your scan Friday, but try to stay calm, 5 weeks is incredibly early to see a heart beat as they usually start closer to 6 weeks. I’ll have everything crossed for you on Saturday, it must feel forever away right now, especially with those pesky vanishing symptoms. We must be due quite close together? I’ve just turned 6 weeks this weekend.

Sictransitgloria · 05/08/2018 22:35

@rachael321 I have everything crossed for you. I’m sorry you have had such a drawn out process too in getting the support you need.

@villagefete thank you. Feels very surreal and surprised the sonographer could see anything. Apparently I have wonky ovaries which is normal?! I had exactly the same talk and she warned me I may have to have a second scan. She did have to do an internal scan to see the heartbeat.

@buffalogiraffe thank you. I know what you mean, there needs to be some more support out there for early pregnancy maybe as if it’s your first you really don’t have any idea what to expect! It is a constant worry.

Sictransitgloria · 05/08/2018 22:37

P.S @rachael321 just noticed that I hadn’t posted before I said about my news - I wasn’t being insensitive, clearly my phone didn’t post my “fingers crossed for you Flowers” message. Sorry!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 06/08/2018 11:01

Nausea has hit me massively today.
Usually by now I've had about a 1.5 Litres of water but I'm struggling on my first glass. Just sat in my office in front of the fan, sipping on water and nibbling on Rennies feeling sorry for myself.
Serves me right for being slightly smug!

ballanj · 06/08/2018 11:31

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever
Poor you! I'm having one of my better days today. Friday I just felt awful but I think staying out of the sun and having a very quiet weekend has helped. I went for an hour's swim on Sunday evening and it's helped me sleep. I'm sure come Wednesday I'll be feeling knackered again! I find nibbling fruit helps to alleviate any nausea/general rough feelings. Today I don't feel like I have a hangover for the first time in days. Hope you get a good wave soon x

Angelmiracle · 06/08/2018 11:40

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever how far on are you? Im 7+1 nausea hit me yesterday really forced some toast down it did help. We had big family day on serving food tea and coffee it was tough going Confused Was so glad to get home and lie down! I have to nibble every so often before it creeps back again.

myotherbagisgucci · 06/08/2018 11:51

Has anyone given their baby a nickname yet? My 7 month old DD was nicknamed baby Peanut and this one is baby Gilbert!

I choose that as I'd "jokingly" put Gilbert on our baby name list and DH vetoed it straight away! So it just stuck! Lol

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 06/08/2018 13:16

@ballanj I think it was the sun yesterday that didn't really help. We went to a local festival type thing and I baked in the heat! Thanks for the idea of fruit, I'll give it a go.The only thing I can stomach so far is plain old lettuce and cucumber.

@Angelmiracle, I'm 9+3 but I'm certain they're going to push by dates back by a couple of weeks once I get my scan. I had a sausage sandwich yesterday and had to shove it down my throat in order to eat it. I feel like I'm constantly hungry but as soon as I get food in front of me and have a few mouthfuls I'm stuffed and can't manage anymore without forcing myself.

I know I've been incredibly lucky so far with the morning sickness but it's just so difficult to get on with things when all you want to do is crawl into bed.

VillageFete · 06/08/2018 13:20

My sensitive nipples are back Grin I imagine it might be normal for symptoms to come and go?

I have spoken to Clearblue. They said their conception indicator is 93% accurate regarding the day you conceived. Mine changed to 3+ on Monday 30th July, so i’m assuming i’ve conceived on Monday 9th July (Had sex 2 days before on 7th) Which would make me 6 weeks today, therefore I was likely 5 weeks 4 days on Friday at my scan, so i’m not surprised I didn’t see a fetal pole, I do think I was just slightly too early.

Considering blowing some of my IVF refund on a Hcg test just for the hell of it? Grin I just think it would put my mind at rest and i’d feel like I was being proactive whilst waiting for Saturday’s scan? This pregnancy stuff has turned me in to a full on crank!

In terms of symptoms, I only have have sensitive nipples, and I feel a bit iffy in the morning. I have no appetite when I wake, but i’m always thirsty for a nice, cold fizzy drink.

Angelmiracle · 06/08/2018 16:46

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever I agree I pulled myself together to go to Homebase with mum and get groceries for dinner. I'm so glad to be home and she very kindly took DS for a few hours!

It's very hard food shopping when the thought of most things turn you 🤢

Rachael321 · 06/08/2018 17:26
