@HidCat I hear ya! I've been suffering with constipation too... had fajitas for tea last night and I've been twice this morning 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I feel like a new woman!! X

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 09/08/2018 12:58

@HidCat I'm also with you on the constipation. The midwife recommended Fybrogel which you add to water but it feels like you're drinking frog spawn so I'd rather be constipated. 😂
@MrsLCW I might have to give Fajitas a go. Although I've got curry for dinner tonight

thecherryontop · 09/08/2018 13:21

I've had to use fybogel before and it's not pleasant -ended up having to have it prescribed in hospital last pregnancy -Hopefully before it gets that far though - I can recommend Superdrug own brand constipation relief -think it says 2 before bed but 1 should be enough and more gentle.

Also remembered that last time I was reliant on ginger beer to drink throughout the day (think I blocked the memory of the nausea), been trying it again and it def works just sipping on it.

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 09/08/2018 16:10

Oooh thanks @Thecherryontop, I'll give it a go. Ginger Ale is a definite must! Although, I'm trying to to drink it in the Office as I don't usually drink it so it'd be a definite tell.

VillageFete · 09/08/2018 17:35

@Mamawithnumber2 HUGE congratulations!! I had just paid for another IVF cycle and then found myself magically pregnant!! There will be a 9 year gap between mine too!

Oh, the constipation Confused and when I do go it’s so painful and a real strain and that I notice some blood (From the back) Why the hell is this? I’m also having vivid dreams. Can’t say i’m feeling sick as such, just a bit “off”, with little energy. I have no get up and go at all.

HidCat · 09/08/2018 18:27

@VillageFete keep an eye on the blood it's probably just haemorrhoids but be careful. Not having fajitas tonight but Cajun chicken so hopefully it will have the desired effect lol. Pregnancy - so glamorous.

VillageFete · 09/08/2018 18:40

@HidCat it’s like a tear, I can feel the pain where i’ve tore slightly when i’ve strained. Like a stinging sensation? Blush Oh, the glamour! I am just wondering why it’s so hard to go the loo all of a sudden?

AceyMac13 · 09/08/2018 18:43

It’s good to know I’m not the only one suffering from constipation, though it’s not nice at all!

Nausea has been awful again, although I craved raspberry sorbet so bad and my god did it taste good!

Early scan tomorrow, so anxious and don’t think I’ll be sleeping much tonight at all!

VillageFete · 09/08/2018 18:54

Good luck for your scan! Mine is Saturday when I should be approx 6+5.

I am sick of eating shit! I keep picking at crap because I can’t stomach most meals. Look at these i’ve bought Shock

@VillageFete thank you, I should be 7+1 tomorrow, excited but nervous too! Good luck for your scan! Oh my they look so nice 😍

Funnybunnyfluff · 09/08/2018 20:07

Has anyone experienced mood swings or just feelings grumpy?

I'm normally very laid back chilled but not at the moment.

Angelmiracle · 09/08/2018 20:29

@Funnybunnyfluff me 👋 From rage to tears to being snappy I didn't know if it was just me though Confused

Funnybunnyfluff · 09/08/2018 20:59

Iv had no tears at all but I'm very snappy and I can't help it. I then put my husband in a mood because I'm being a bitch.

I'm trying very hard to be nice and not bite his head off.

PurpleFlower1983 · 09/08/2018 23:07

I burst into tears yesterday listening to Disney songs! ConfusedBlush

(I’ve found they keep me motivated when cleaning! No idea why! Grin )

PurpleFlower1983 · 10/08/2018 07:03

Has anyone started wearing maternity clothes? I know it’s really early but my jeans are becoming really uncomfortable with the bloating and rather than getting the next size up I was thinking of getting some maternity ones to see me through! Any thoughts?

MrsLCW · 10/08/2018 08:21

@PurpleFlower1983 I'm in maternity jeans now 🙈 mine fastened but we're super uncomfortable!! I'm 10 weeks today, heading in to see the consultant today and hoping they'll scan me too as he said they'd try their best to scan as often as possible to reduce my anxiety which was lovely, I just hope they actually do! X

I had a dream last night that my cousin got acid thrown in her face and I got the blame for it so had to go into hiding. I woke up in tears. I've been having ridiculous dreams and because I'm dreaming a lot I think I'm not sleeping properly which is fueling the fatigue.
I'm also being really snappy and want to strangle quite a few people at work at the moment! Grin

Oooh @MrsLCW they look comfy! I'm debating whether or not to get some now as I've got a fat belly fold over in my work jeans Sad Good luck with your appointment.

PurpleFlower1983 · 10/08/2018 09:09

@MrsLCW They look great! I’m going to buy some today! Where were yours from?

PurpleFlower1983 · 10/08/2018 09:10

I hope they give you your scan!

Sictransitgloria · 10/08/2018 10:17

How is everyone doing?

I’m constipated too. Yay. No sickness, just slight nausea atm. My dating scan put me back to 07/03/2019 but I was told to wait for the 12 week dating scan for confirmation as baby may catch up by then.

I’ve been so busy this week. Funeral monday and a wedding on wednesday a 4 hour drive from me. Ended up dancing all night too. it was 2 nights away and you never sleep properly when you are sharing a room with 3 other rather merry people! I’m off today thankfully and I’m absolutely wiped out.

myotherbagisgucci · 10/08/2018 10:20

Just been for my initial midwife appointment and my 12 week scan is booked in for the 1st September! Eeekkkk!! 😊👶🏻

Anyone else got their scan date yet?

ballanj · 10/08/2018 10:44

@myotherbagisgucci how exciting! I have my scan on 30 August. On countdown now. Me and OH have booked the day off work so we can (fingers crossed) enjoy the day afterwards or, in case we hear news we don't want to hear. I just want to know everything is well and progressing as it should be. No reason for it not to, but we've had lots of friends/family have bad experiences so are mindful as much as we are excited. The waiting is unbearable at times!

ballanj · 10/08/2018 10:48

@Sictransitgloria wow you've been busy! Mixed emotions with all of that going on too I'll bet. And what with the hormones, no wonder you're tired.

I too am constipated 🙄 it's not like I'm not able to go, but never have that 'urge' to go and it's only when I make a conscientious effort to park myself on the loo and give it time 😂

And the gas and bloating.....It's non-stop. I feel like a very noisy whoopee cushion these days. Feel sorry for the other half 😂 I'm looking forward to that settling down! Although I count my blessings I've had no nausea or morning sickness, so I guess the other symptoms make up for that 😂

myotherbagisgucci · 10/08/2018 10:53

How exciting @ballanj and only 3 more weeks to wait!! Have you had an early scan?

I'm not sure when to tell work. Has anyone else told their employees yet?

I'm still on maternity leave with my 7 month old DD, and I'm due to go back part time in 8 weeks. Do you think I should tell them sooner or later?
