Seriously, all I can do at the moment is sit on the sofa in my (substantial) underwear, occasionally waddling through to the kitchen for snacks like some kind of fucking massive lethargic elephant seal 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Sorry but 😂😂😂 at that mental image.

I feel so sorry for all you ladies in that heat. It's only mid 20s here and that's plenty for me at the moment!

Changenameday · 26/07/2018 16:45

My MIL is here so I have to wear some level of clothes, I’m 32 weeks and it’s hit 34 degrees. Cannot cope!

BlueBug45 · 26/07/2018 16:45

OP I'm lying on my bed in my underwear in a darkened room sucking on an ice pop.

And apparently it is 34 degrees here...

ItsNachoCheese · 26/07/2018 16:46

Im not pregnant but im fucking hating this heat its unbearable

Bibijayne · 26/07/2018 16:47

@ResurrectedGoldfish you're still wearing underwear!?!?

Pants are for polite company and going for monitoring at maternity only.

Bras - I've just embraced the 1970s.

Too hot!

Susikettu · 26/07/2018 16:47

I'm getting through a family bag of 'party ice' I'm about 3days flat. It's no party. 38weeks pregnant and mostly flat out on the sofa, in my pants in front of a fan. Not how I though maternity leave was going to pan out...

BossWitch · 26/07/2018 16:47

Agree agree agree!! I'm only 29 weeks but my bump is measuring off the chart and I'm fucking hot and massive. Really dont want to wear clothes. Or do anything much else.

Also I have a sinus infection and my head fucking hurts.

Fuck.

Aozora13 · 26/07/2018 16:51

I’ve refused to go into the office (an hour each way on non-air conditioned trains) until the weather behaves itself. It’s 34 degrees here too. Bleurgh. I’m only 26 weeks but swollen beyond recognition and grumpy as hell!

MagicalCreatures · 26/07/2018 16:56

Girls!!! I’m only 18 weeks and want to die right now.
I honestly have the most respect (and feel very sorry) for you all that are about to drop.
I do have a rather large bump though as I’m measuring big and all I can fit into are my maternity long length black leggings. Argh!

Havetothink · 26/07/2018 17:02

Lol, this is me too, only reason I'm wearing underwear is to stop me sticking to myself, totally gross.

ResurrectedGoldfish · 26/07/2018 17:20

It’s just not fucking on, is it?? I don’t know who I need to write a letter to, god or the met office or whoever, but someone’s getting a very strongly worded missive about this shit. It needs to get sorted! Pronto!!!!!!!!

CharXo · 26/07/2018 17:33

😂😂😂 this tickled me!! I am debating buying a chest freezer just to get ready to lay in tomorrow as it’s supposed to be even hotter than today!!

Hjkillas · 26/07/2018 17:44

38+4 over here, lying in bed with the fan on, only wearing knickers for the liner to catch the copious amounts of plug snot 🙄 have a towel under my milk jugs.. indoor temp of 29 and I'm still suffering, outdoor is 33 you bet my frickin window is staying shut and I refuse to leave the house.

Eeeeek2 · 26/07/2018 17:59

I'm 23 weeks and very fat grumpy. Plus my toddler has decided the only place to sit is on the bump me

Plus we're potty training and I've wipe up too much wee this week. Advice for all potty training parents - don't do it whilst pregnant because wine and/or gin is a vital step in training.

Havetothink · 26/07/2018 18:18

Lol, 29 weeks and my dd is also potty training, although for the most part it's going well, the cleaning up and trips to empty the potty in the upstairs loo every 5 minutes are killing me/my knees.

wombats · 26/07/2018 18:53

This is me in the top photo, except I've got a pint of ice cream, unwashed hair, no makeup, and dark circles under my eyes. Nowhere near as attractive and about 15 years older. But basically how I'm spending my day Blush

Terriersandtea · 26/07/2018 19:03

35 weeks, fat, sweaty, mostly naked, lying in the paddling pool soz neighbours it's not a pretty picture but otherwise I'll die. I recommend ice packs on head and feet, seems to help a minuscule amount.

Marbles321 · 26/07/2018 19:06

39 weeks here, wearing fiances boxers and sleeping bra, attempting to cook (over heat!) a dinner after a whole day spent in a darkened flat in front of a fan. As pp said, this is really not what i had in mind for my maternity leave relaxation time.... Hmm

DBoo · 26/07/2018 19:12

Only 13+2 here but had scan today and only thing that fit and was clean was thick jogging pants. Omg!!! And i normally love feeling warm.

Spent two hours filling up with water pacing corridors and car parks trying to get baby to move whilst bursting for a pee. Felt like a nightmare. Everything looking good tho so cant complain.

Seems to be some sort of storm coming on here (North East) wind has picked ip drastically. Woohoo!

booandbumpp · 26/07/2018 19:21

26+ 5 here and absolutely dying. Spent the afternoon in hospital for reduced movement and I felt sorry for anyone staying in. I left after 4 hours and couldn't wait to lie on my bed in my underwear in front of the fan and not move.

It's TOO HOT

dingdongdigeridoo · 26/07/2018 19:21

Yep, fuck this weather. I’m basically a big fat slug at the moment, struggling to get around due to massive bump. Going naked is not an option though as everything is sticking together.

I’m thanking all the gods that we didn’t buy the leather sofa that DH wanted so much. Since I now basically live and work on the couch.

peachesarenom · 26/07/2018 19:27

I've just had a cold bath, now naked in darkened room with fan on and ice cold flannel around my neck. Only 19 weeks! I want rain so badly.

Loulabelle25 · 26/07/2018 19:40

Sitting like a naked Buddha, in a dark room, in front of a fan, is not how I envisioned maternity leave!

Loulabelle25 · 26/07/2018 19:41

Summer needs to fuck off! I’ve never wanted it to rain so much

WhirlingTurkey · 26/07/2018 20:06

I'm only 14 weeks but I am hating every moment of this heat. I have constant morning (all-fucking-day!!) sickness and I feel absolutely dreadful. The heat is giving me a headache and making the nausea and sickness so much worse. Argh!!
With my last I gave birth in June and it was HOT, although not as hot as right now so I'm feeling so much sympathy for those of you who are near your due date right now.
The weather must break at some point. Right?!
