Seriously, all I can do at the moment is sit on the sofa in my (substantial) underwear, occasionally waddling through to the kitchen for snacks like some kind of fucking massive lethargic elephant seal 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

My DH just came in and started fanning me with his t shirt. That’s love right there, that is.

I’ve lost the capacity for rational thought. I think parts of me have actually melted. This is just fucking outrageous...

One more hot day then the weekend here is forecast to be 20°, praying the house will finally cool down!

Nothisispatrick · 26/07/2018 20:32

29 weeks here and spent the afternoon lying in a darkened bedroom with the fan on and a dampened muslin around my neck. Did manage to go to an aqua aerobics class today though, I just wanted to be in the water!

Also now moved to wearing DP's socks as mine no longer fit over my fat feet.

Theweasleytwins · 26/07/2018 20:36

32* here and copious amounts of icecream and sitting indent of the dehumidifier 😁

Why wear pants if you don't need to?

newnameallround · 26/07/2018 20:39

I'm not pregnant but still finding this hideous!! You all have my sympathies. However I have just learnt about tatatowels....

popcorndiva · 26/07/2018 20:42

35 weeks....i was promised rain by the met office 2 hours ago ...not one drop...23 degrees overnight ..urgh..have put a waterbottle in the freezer

littlepooch · 26/07/2018 20:46

32 weeks with a 2 year old and 10 month old to entertain. I wanted to spend the last few weeks wafting around like some earth mother looking after my kids, cooking, baking and make myself and my house look beautiful though that were never going to happen with those 2 running rampage

Instead even walking to the kitchen to get them a snack results in me collapsing hippo like onto the sofa and needing a 20 min rest.

I can't even fake pretend enthusiasm when talking to people about the weather

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/07/2018 20:47

@ResurrectedGoldfish I'd swap those temps... check out London right now

I'm 36+4 and can't take it anymore

I am still working in the city

38 weeks and cooking! I was remaining good natured about it till this week and now I am just done. It feels as if there's no air at all. It's still 29 degrees here at 9 o clock.

The met office predicted storms (70% chance) earlier and i was so excited. Then it just disappeared from the forecast and I actually cried! I have a fan and a cooling towel. My husband is sympathetic and feeds me lollies on rotation but it is utterly miserable. I'm comforting myself by thinking that it's probably worse to have to worry about a new born in this heat and be sweaty while bf'ing

ResurrectedGoldfish · 26/07/2018 20:50

Oh my god @TheGrumpySquirrel. No wonder you’re grumpy...

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 26/07/2018 20:56

I'm 27 weeks but I'm already fucking massive. I am too fucking fat and hormonal for this heatwave shite. Sick of hearing people bollocking on about how "glorious" the weather is, "oh it's so lovely, isn't it gloooooorious"....NO! It's fucking shit!!! DH made the mistake of grumbling about how the air conditioning in his office is too powerful and he was "a bit chilly" the other day. I just stared at him until he very slowly backed out of the room, I think he sensed he may be about to die!

The fucking Met Office can get to fuck as well. They keep promising me rain and thunder storms, raising my hopes and then changing their minds. I bet their fucking offices are air conditioned as well. Fuckers.

bollocksitshappenedagain · 26/07/2018 21:01

My forecast is not showing 65-85-% Rain for next 3 days!!!!! I really hope it doesn't drop off the forecast live every other time rain has been forecast. Temperature due to drop right down Saturday as well. Fingers crossed.

3boysandabump · 26/07/2018 21:02

I'm 38 weeks. What I'm finding is the worst about this heat is how swollen my feet are. The only shoes I can get on my feet are dh which are 3 sizes too big. Section booked in for Tuesday so at least I have a light at the end of the tunnel

BBALLFUN · 26/07/2018 21:03

Can't believe you're wearing underwear, I'm full on naked. Always

ResurrectedGoldfish · 26/07/2018 21:06

The Met Office??! The Shite-at-predicting-the-sodding-weather Office more like. According to the met Office, there’s a 60% chance it’s raining here. Guess what, met office, ITS NOT FUCKING RAINING.

Stephisaur · 26/07/2018 21:07

19 weeks over here. It is currently 27C in my lounge. With the dyson fan on. WHY.

I’m sat in my pants and vest longing for the days I moaned that it was cold. We had rain earlier and I think I’ve pissed out more than that. It lasted about 60 seconds.

Winter now please, or a nice cool autumn.

ResurrectedGoldfish · 26/07/2018 21:08

@MinisterforCheekyFuckery I sense your rage and I approve.

LaPufalina · 26/07/2018 21:16

33+2 here and have camped in front of DH's Dyson fan, I'd like to see him try and get it back when he gets in 🤔
It's just so still! No breeze 😣
@BossWitch I've had sinusitis for two weeks for the first time, it's so painful! And can only do steam (great this weather) or nasal wash!

BossWitch · 26/07/2018 21:32

@LaPufalina I saw the nurse practitioner today and she prescribed me a steroid nasal spray (albeit a little reluctantly!). It may be worth a go?

LB1291 · 26/07/2018 22:01

I’m overdue with little ones on summer holiday.....please can I win?! Halo

SeriousSeal · 26/07/2018 23:43

38 weeks with a 4yo to entertain... and I'm so fed up of everyone asking me how I'm coping in the heat. There's only so many times you can answer that without crying. Grin

I'm not looking forward to labour but at least the delivery rooms have A/C...

butunlikely · 27/07/2018 00:05

Only 22 weeks here so feel for those at term or overdue, I can barely function and have spent quite some time today 'browsing' in whichever shops had air con. Got my toddler again tomorrow though, no nursery, and she's too hot to sleep... Also in some kind of sick joke by the universe I've caught a COLD?! At least that gives me a second excuse not to get the tube to work which is probably about 40 degrees at the moment.

We all deserve medals (though would rather have a catering size box of calippos) and RAIN!
