@probably - twins! How exciting! But I really do feel for you in this weather. Whack a couple of wet muslins in the freezer to lay over the back of your neck while you put your feet up and watch Netflix!

@smelly - I feel you. If you can’t get a massage, try looking online for a deal on going to a wet spa. I did that, managed to get a half-day pass on a weekday for a decent price and spent that time in and out of the hydrotherapy pool. It was bliss and the only pain-free few hours I’ve had in months.

@KTD - bless your little one! What a sweetie.

No action after the sweep, sadly Sad I had been hopeful because I was really crampy for a few hours after the appointment but that’s all gone away now and still NOTHING is happening. I just don’t think this baby is ever coming. I’m doomed to perpetually live in this end-of-pregnancy hell.

LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 09:23

Things are the same as yesterday still reduced movements. Still getting movements but heavily reduced so popping off to the hosp.

Sk
Might not work straight away but should work hopefully

lmx0 · 07/07/2018 10:11

@LostMyBaubles deffo do since this is day 2 of reduced movements think of the AC the hospital will have!!!

LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 10:49

Yup lol the AC
Taking my parents with me, dad can chill in the AC as he looks all hot and flustered. Mum cant leave dad home due to his health probs so lil family day out lol

lifechangesforever · 07/07/2018 11:36

Oh I wish my hospital has AC - it's an absolute sweat box on the coolest of days. I'm dreading giving birth in there at the moment, might have to ask for the birthing pool to be cold water at this rate Wink

KTD27 · 07/07/2018 12:07

lost you’re defo doing the right thing. Let us know how you get on

bowgumdrop2018 · 07/07/2018 12:07

39 weeks today and fully had enough!! It's 29 degrees and I feel like I'm going to pass out just hoovering a bedroom! under boob sweat is a real god dam issue ! I pray my baby makes an appearance soon I cannot face this weather being pregnant any longer 😩🤷🏻‍♀️

LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 14:28

Just got out
Took around 30-45 mins to pick him up properly for trace. Was horrible
Still didnt manage to get proper trace as thry couldn't get proper trace but they had been with me over an hour.
Thanfkully had scan straight after
Baby isnt as big as we thought thankfully
On the 90th centile but still on the actual graph

I was pokimg and prodding last night and turns out I was poking his head! She said baby is head up transverse
And I have lots of fluid

KTD27 · 07/07/2018 14:36

Ooh goodness. So glad you went in. And a transverse lie! What’s the plan then? How far are you?

OP posts:
Smellyjo · 07/07/2018 14:47

Glad you got scanned Lost, so are they happy with how he is based on that? How long do you have to go?

Thanks for the aching sympathy- ended up going for a family swim this morn which was quite nice and now having a rest with a cuppa before I take a turn with dd to let dh watch footy. I've just been doing too much recently and my body is screaming at me.

Sk16 - that's frustrating about the sweep. It's your second sweep is that right? I never had one but have heard mixed reports. I got a massage actually the day I went into labour last time so I'll be trying that approach!

Bowgum - I've heard roll on deodorant is good for under boob sweat but I haven't tried as I don't have any!

BrutusMcDogface · 07/07/2018 15:00

Lost- mine was transverse up until recently and they wanted me admitted to hospital, followed by a planned c-section! How many weeks are you? Have you got any more follow up appointments?

BrutusMcDogface · 07/07/2018 15:02

lmx0 I'm sorry I just realised I didn't reply to your comment! Yes he does need to have (strong) words with himself!!

LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 15:19

Ive got to see the consultant on thurs and another scan to check placenta again as its low
Im 31+2 today, so he has time to move yet!

Sk I really hope things move for you soon

Smellyjo a swim in this weather sounds lovely

Bow I spray my anti deodrant under my boobs (well only started yesterday lol)

How is everyone

lifechangesforever · 07/07/2018 15:24

It is extremely humid today! Just watching the football, I don't really have an interest in it but it seems the thing to do today. I bought snacks.

38+3 now - MIL is driving herself crazy if we don't reply to texts straight away, it's getting to a point where DH is ready to say something now. Keep reminder her that I'm not due until the 18th and I'm also quite happy to wait until then (for now!).

Hope baby turns for you soon @LostMyBaubles at least you know for now what position he's in. I was convinced until a growth scan at 36 weeks that DD was breech and the midwife had it all wrong but she was right lol.

lmx0 · 07/07/2018 16:20

@LostMyBaubles that must have stressful but at least baby isn't as big as thought
@bowgumdrop2018 roll on deffo helps with cub rub so under boob sweat im sure it would do the trick!!
@Smellyjo ohh a lovely swim sounds wonderful!! Im sure you didnt want to leave the pool!!
@BrutusMcDogface im sure your glad baby moved down
@lifechangesforever that woukd really annoy me!! I think when people start texting me ill just not reply as even if i was in labour why do the world need to know about it?! Although my MIL text on thurs (only hit 37 weeks!) 'just to see how i was' what she was really wanting to know was any sign!! (It could be a long 5 weeks if i go over!!

LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 16:51

Imxo exactly was so worried I was gonna have a super giant baby etc

Life I dont usually like football but feel We as a nation need this win !

I did think I was feelimg his head last night and it's defo too big lol

lmx0 · 07/07/2018 17:13

@LostMyBaubles at least thats one less worry for you all i can feel is a bum (i think thats what it is!)

LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 17:19

Defo feel soo much better after going in.
Feel bad that i spent so long poking his head lol

lmx0 · 07/07/2018 17:25

@LostMyBaubles thats good its worth going in even to just put your mind at rest

lmx0 · 07/07/2018 20:13

LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 20:24

Cot needs cleaning
Need to buy a crib
Hubby wants to buy a cat seat rather than borrow one

Well done for getting it all done!
Rest up now

Just reread notes correctly baby is around 2kg around the 4+lb mark atm

KTD27 · 07/07/2018 20:40

I’m starting to panic about the temperature in our room for when baby comes home. My little boys room is 28 tonight! Far too hot for a newborn right?!

OP posts:
LostMyBaubles · 07/07/2018 20:41

Does sound hot. Id keep windows open all times and a fan in the room NOT directed at baby but to circulate the air a lil

BrutusMcDogface · 07/07/2018 20:44

funnily enough I've been thinking the baby's temperature is probably easier to regulate while he's still inside me- it's such a worry trying to keep a newborn at the right temperature.

lmx0 · 07/07/2018 21:57

@LostMyBaubles you still have plenty of time Thats not that big at 34 weeks i was 5.6
@KTD27 you could always hang wet muslins over the fan? I seen that online, to help cool down a room worth a try?
