I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

In the first trimester it literally feels like time is standing still some times. It sucks. One day at a time is the only way through I think. I did find my early scans reassuring to a point, but it was only ever short lived.

I'm pleased to report I had a good growth scan today. Baby has had a bit of a spurt and managed to get above the 10th centile. And it was head down for the first time! I have to go for another scan in 2 weeks and then they will decide about induction. Fingers crossed it doesn't manage to turn back round.

Still got the small matter of trying to move house to contend with however Confused

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 18/07/2018 21:57

Glad you had a good scan keeponrunning85! :)

It's such a trick position to be in embobolina. I'm thankfully 27 weeks now but I remember having early scans with this one just due to being so freaked out of not knowing what was going on for such a period of time, but tbh it only really did so much and the relief that everything was pointing in the right direction only lasted a few days after, if that. I really hope everything works out this time. We're all here rooting for you both :)

Paranormalbouquet · 18/07/2018 22:20

@NoCats I had a horrible experience with MMC too. Was very upset at the thought of going back to that unit this time around.

@keeponrunning85 congratulations on a good scan! Fingers crossed baby stays head down.

I got home to my c-section appointment. Not sure I'm ready to see that here already. Seems a very very long way to December.

An acquaintance (chat if we meet, occasional text messages) has just had a very late miscarriage, probably due to cervical weakness. Feeling a mix of very lucky to have my stitch and terrified that the stitch will fail. I've made a donation to Tommy's in her son's memory and will drop a card around to her soon. Does that sound reasonable?

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 18/07/2018 22:56

@Paranormalbouquet Oh that must be so bloody horrible Sad I think what you've said would be a lovely idea. Let her know you're thinking of them but also giving her space if she/they need it.

HidCat · 19/07/2018 07:01

@Paranormalbouquet oh that's so awful but yes it sounds like a good idea, you're letting her know you're there for her but allowing her space.

Paranormalbouquet · 19/07/2018 09:44

I don’t want to overstep and she’s not the type to want a lot of public sympathy. Also being just a few weeks behind her we had planned to meet up on maternity leave and I’m sure that’s the last thing she wants to be reminded of. But obviously I want to acknowledge what’s happened.

I can’t believe so many people here are having their babies/close to having them, it really does give me hope I must say!

Anxiousfeelings · 19/07/2018 13:21

@paranormal that is awful. I think you are doing the right thing.

@embobolina the first 12 weeks are very hard. I have had two MMCs over the past year. In fact it is a year this week that I found out I was pregnant with the first one. I’m now 19 weeks with this one and had a reassurance scan from the hospital at 9 weeks. I would recommend that if you can get it through the hospital. I went along to that completely convinced there was not going to be a heartbeat. Even after the 12 week scan and now feeling movement I find it hard to believe. However, I am more relaxed than I was in the first trimester. Distraction, giving yourself a break and trying not to focus on every symptom/ lack of symptom is all I can suggest. By the way, this pregnancy and my successful one 4 years ago have had much less in the way of symptoms that either the MMCs.

Anxiousfeelings · 19/07/2018 13:22

@keeponrunning wonderful news on the scan!

Flatwhite32 · 19/07/2018 17:47

Following yet another growth scan, I'm being induced on Sunday! Eek! So many mixed emotions!

@Paranormalbouquet that's so sad about your friend. Sad xx

Paranormalbouquet · 19/07/2018 20:07

@Flatwhite32 wow, that’s very exciting! How many weeks are you again? I hope it all goes smoothly.

Flatwhite32 · 19/07/2018 20:43

On induction day, I'll be 39+6! Baby is actually growing fine, but the cord blood flow reading showed high resistance (which has happened before at a previous scan) so the consultant recommended induction. Excited and nervous!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 19/07/2018 21:49

@Flatwhite32 Eeep you'll have to let us know how it goes!

keeponrunning85 · 19/07/2018 22:59

Oh gosh flatwhite! How exciting. I hope it all goes smoothly.

Sorry to hear about your friend paranormal. I think what you have planned sounds lovely.

We have a date for moving house! Moving on the 31st July. Next scan is 1st August so if they decide to induce me after that at least we will have a day to settle in Grin Now I just need to work out what to do with the cat for the move.

HidCat · 20/07/2018 07:14

@Flatwhite32 eek good luck!

somethingfromnothing · 20/07/2018 09:57

Good luck flatwhite !

I’m 10 weeks today and after so many early mc I never thought I’d reach double figures in a pregnancy again. I have next scan on Monday. Whishing the weekend away already!

Paranormalbouquet · 20/07/2018 12:14

Keep good luck with the house move! I moved house (and country!) at 35 weeks last time but had 6 weeks of waiting around for baby to come then. Flatwhite best of luck! The baby group is starting to grow!

Something congratulations on getting to double figures. I had the same aim this time, the furthest I got in any miscarriage was 8 weeks (although MMC wasn't picked up until later, baby was that size). I've got a whole list of targets to help with the stress- one week to 19 weeks which is maximum half way point of the pregnancy, 2 weeks to anomaly scan, 4 weeks to first feotal fibronectin check...

kirinm · 20/07/2018 12:58

I've been given my c section date which is quite terrifying. Still can't compute that there's a baby coming. Still won't have any baby stuff in the flat and still living on a construction site! This is all starting to feel very real and scary.

NoCatsHere · 20/07/2018 18:14

keep glad the little one is growing!

flat good luck for Sunday, that is just so exciting! Must feel funny to know there’s an end in site very soon.

para so sorry about your friend, that’s just so sad.

kirinm when’s your date? I go in a few weeks to discuss elcs. It’ll be weird if I go through with it and have an actual date!

something honestly double figures really is excellent. That was my goal this time as like Para although the mmc was at 10 weeks baby wasn’t bigger than 9 weeks. Only 2 more to go to the scan. The best thing to do is to break the whole thing down into sections and try to make it to each little milestone.

NoCatsHere · 20/07/2018 18:16

I’m so happy to report I can finally feel decent movement and kicking - really clear. It’s such a relief to feel it every day pretty much and it relaxes me every time! I’m 22 weeks so it was about time!

Anxiousfeelings · 20/07/2018 19:12

@flatwhite how exciting! All the very best for Sunday

Flatwhite32 · 20/07/2018 19:20

Thank you everyone! I'm scared about the pain, eek! I just want her here safe and healthy.

mummyjl15 · 20/07/2018 21:28

So exciting @Flatwhite32 hope all goes well! Can’t wait to hear about your new arrival!

Paranormalbouquet · 21/07/2018 03:23

Went to bed at 830pm and am wide awake now! Feeling lovely little movements tonight which is also exciting me and keeping me up! Can’t wait to get proper movements @NoCatsHere- do you have an anterior placenta too? I only feel flutters in very specific places (down low and on left side a little higher) so am assuming the placenta is blocking others.

@kirinm I’ve been given my section date and am only 18 weeks!

@Flatwhite not long now! Don’t worry about the pain. And don’t worry if you need pain relief! If it helps my labour wasn’t that painful- uncomfortable and exhausting but pain was quite manageable. My emcs was due to infection so not predictable and just one of those things and had to be under GA as had no epidural beforehand. So as a result I’m a big advocate of epidurals for first timers!

My friend got in touch after reading the card so am really glad I sent it now. She’s obviously very raw and very angry but has good family rallying around at the moment.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 21/07/2018 08:32

@Paranormalbouquet It's great she's gotten in touch and has people around her. There are few things lonelier than mc, even more so when it's later on I'm sure.

Glad you're starting to have noticeable movements too. It must be so reassuring after everything, especially after your surgery earlier on.

@kirinm That's crazy. How far along are you now? Sorry if you've already mentioned it! Hoping the end is in sight now.

kirinm · 21/07/2018 08:46

It'll be in late August. Trying to keep the date just between me and DP. I'm nearly 34 weeks now so just over 5 weeks away which feels so close!

Oooh @Paranormalbouquet when is yours? Roughly?
