I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

Keep I did all the exercises and went into labour with a baby in a perfect OA, head down position. Who decided to rotate to OP/OT during labour! I think they just do what they want!

My darling husband announced this morning that I now look “probably pregnant” as opposed to “probably fat”. I am getting terribly short on clothes. Is anyone here normally a pear/hourglass and found anywhere that will accommodate enormous thighs and a smaller waist/back without looking tent like?!

kirinm · 12/07/2018 09:22

Is 33 weeks too early to be moaning?

HidCat · 12/07/2018 09:56

@Paranormalbouquet I'm a pear shape too and it's always a struggle. I tend to go for jersey tops as the hug you a bit or something that at least has a bit of shape. My problem is finding bootcut jeans that don't cost the earth. New look used to do a good range but now it's all skinny jeans and the bootcut ones cost about £30.

Paranormalbouquet · 12/07/2018 10:28

@kirinm moan away!

@HidCat I have one pair of jeans from last time round which are straight legged and have just enough stretch to accommodate but not emphasise bottom half. I got them on holidays in New York though! Haven’t worn them yet as bump really wasn’t big enough and it’s been boiling hot up to a few days ago. Have been making do with a few dresses, a single pair of high waisted smart culottes that have just got right in he last few days and some bigger tops I bought in h+m. But definitely getting to point where I will need some new things. Was thinking of the Seraphine Bump kit for work- on sale at the moment. Has anyone bought one?

kirinm · 12/07/2018 10:44

I have carpal tunnel syndrome, still got just under 3 weeks at work to go, my flat is a building site, my stomach is huge, I can't breathe very well, I'm hot and seriously uncomfortable. Also feeling quite lightheaded today. This week was only a 4-day week but it is dragging and next week is a full 5 dayer! I feel crap!

HidCat · 12/07/2018 11:25

@Paranormalbouquet I think I'm going to hit the men's section. My husband has a big beer gut and always seems to find clothes to fit 😂

@kirinm hang on in there! It will be worth it in the end.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 12/07/2018 12:32

Hi all, I'm sorry that I've fallen a bit off this thread the last couple of weeks - hope everyone's well. I just wanted to let you know that my little boy arrived safe and sound last night. Thank you so much to you all for your support throughout this pregnancy - having this space to chat has helped me at so many anxious times.

Paranormalbouquet · 12/07/2018 12:59

@kirinm well that all sounds pretty tough and good reason to moan!! I recall with DD around that time being very uncomfortable and it improving when she dropped down. I’m not tall so she was basically wedged under my ribcage- might be why you are having trouble breathing?

@HidCat I don’t think I can turn up to work in men’s clothes!

@LisaSimpsonsbff huge congratulations!!! I’m delighted and hope all went well for you.

HidCat · 12/07/2018 13:09

@LisaSimpsonsbff congratulations! Glad you're both doing well. xxx

@Paranormalbouquet but the androgynous look is in - you'll be fine 😂. I know what you mean though, depends on the clothes!

kirinm · 12/07/2018 13:41

Congratulations @LisaSimpsonsbff fantastic news!

NoCatsHere · 12/07/2018 14:19

Hey all totally dropped off the thread life is one big catch up!
21 weeks now and feeling happy about that milestone and my decent bump. Just wish I could feel more obvious movement. I have my placenta at the front so thinking that’s making it harder but it’d be nice to get some clear indication everything is alright now all my scans are out the way.

swimchick I’m sure I recognise your name too. Congrats on 21 weeks, were at very similar stages!

anxious Totally normal to be sad. In fact you can be sad about it 50 years down the line if you want to be, you never have to get over it just because other people think you should. I’ve been randomly sad about my losses throughout this preganacy despite it all going well.

I saw a friend the other day that does EFT tapping? (Emotional freedom technique) Have you heard of it? I’m going to do it to help with the 2 losses and also the two awful births I’ve had in order to birth this third and final baby safety and in a positive way. I guess she’s quite spiritual and she said to me she thinks this baby is the same one trying again to make it through. Now that comforted me because it didn’t make me think I’d lost any as such, I know that’s not the right message for everyone, but it was an interesting take on loss.

lisa many congrats on your boy! I hope you’re having amazing cuddles with him.

Anxiousfeelings · 12/07/2018 18:56

@Lisasimpson massive congratulations! That’s wonderful news :)

@paranormal Gap have some nice tops at the moment - they also had a big sale at the weekend and always seem to run offers.

@Nocats thanks- this group has made me feel a lot better! I also met a friend today who struggled with IVF for years before getting pregnant and she understood. I haven’t heard of EFT tapping- sounds interesting!

BertieBotts · 12/07/2018 19:11

Lisa, that's amazing news, congratulations :)

NoCats, I've done a bit of that before for an insect phobia. It helped a bit and I didn't even take it very seriously so probably if you do it properly it will work well. My mum is very into things like that and it can be quite a spiritual thing if you're open to it. Equally you don't need to get too far into the spiritual side if it makes you uncomfortable. But just in case the lady comes out with more, that it's not a surprise.

Paranormal - try eBay for the bootcut maternity jeans? Just look for bundles on there. They will tend to be a couple of years out of date hence having the bootcut type style. I never follow current fashion anyway but the skinny jeans one in particular does my head in.

Sorry, that was for HidCat! Hard to keep track on mobile. I agree gap always have codes, it's a good idea to have a code/spam catcher email account. I get gap and h&m and a couple of German baby companies now.

My baby is wedged under my ribs as well more often than not, I think he runs out of room.

So I told a few people at work that I’m pregnant. Felt like a huge step. I’m sure they had suspected with the rate that my stomach has increased in size! 17 weeks today. Wish my placenta wasn’t anterior- I think proper regular movements would relax me!

kirinm · 13/07/2018 12:11

@paranormal I've got an anterior placenta and didn't feel movements until about 20-21 weeks. I know it's a pain especially with our respective histories. I feel her a lot now but I don't have any of those movements where you can see limbs. I'm guessing that isn't going to happen.

Paranormalbouquet · 13/07/2018 12:30

Thanks @kirinm logically I know I’m just being impatient. It’s so hard to relax during a complicated pregnancy isn’t it? Feeling very occasional very soft flutter, but not consistent and not every day. Baby was kicking away during my scan on Wednesday and couldn’t feel it at all though so I know I’m being silly!

My obstetrician has said after 23 weeks she wants me within an hour of a hospital with a NICU which is also not reassuring! Although she then did say she is hopeful I’ll get to planned section date. Here’s hoping.

Anxiousfeelings · 13/07/2018 17:37

@para I have an anterior placenta too and was getting quite stressed last week about lack of movement but have felt more this week (am 18.5weeks) but it’s very light in comparison to what I remember from last time and I wouldn’t say it’s regular. The sonographer at my 12 week scan told me not to expect regular movement until 20+ weeks because of where the placenta is situated. I completely understand the desire to feel it though!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 13/07/2018 23:07

Well came home to a letter for a growth scan and now I feel like I've let baby down massively even though I know that's silly of me really. It was going so well too

intelligentPutty · 14/07/2018 00:03

Congratulations @LisaSimpsonsbff so pleased to hear of your baby boy.

Been a bit absent and not on N for a couple weeks now. Good I'm keeping busy I suppose
@UnicornsandRainbows1 you can't feel like u let her down. U haven't. Hope u can wait to see what the growth scan says. Is it soon?

Flatwhite32 · 14/07/2018 04:58

I've had 2 growth scans @UnicornsandRainbows1 as my bump is too small! Honestly it's better to be safe. You're not letting her down in any way!

HidCat · 14/07/2018 07:12

@UnicornsandRainbows1 you're not letting her down, it's a just in case is all. By getting the best care you can you're doing a grand job.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 14/07/2018 07:24

@intelligentPutty It's on the 25th so not too long to wait thankfully.

@Flatwhite32 Mine is because it's too small too, though the more I think about it the more I'm confused as I was only measuring one week behind which MW said was fine (I'm quite a slim built person anyway). And I'd imagine quite a lot not measuring spot on for their dates right? At least she's very strong and active so I'll concentrate on that.

Also I've been thinking, do we have a thread for new arrivals? It'd be great to still see how everyone's getting on afterwards
