I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

NoCats glad you are home and it’s going well. And that you’ve made a decision re delivery.

Anne and Miami proper welcomes! Delighted you are both here!

Labmum movement is great. And scan is very soon, fingers crossed will all go well.

25+3 here. Appointment with midwife tomorrow. GTT and growth scan in under 3 weeks.

mummyjl15 · 11/09/2018 07:29

@AnneLovesGilbert @sprinkles and @Miami81 welcome to the thread!
Just catching up on the latest news :)

@NoCats so pleased to hear things are going well.

I’m 26 weeks now, this pregnancy is suddenly going so so fast! My sciatica is starting to return so I’m upping the yoga and doing more stretches so hopefully that will help!
We’ve only just started talking about names, been too scared to up until now. Does anyone else find girls names so much harder than boys? We had the same problem with our first. We had a long list of boys names but just a single name for girls.
We’ve hit a bit of a sleep regression stage with our almost 3 year old daughter so I’m feeling so tired all the time!

AnneLovesGilbert · 11/09/2018 09:49

Thank you everyone.

Miami, that's amazing, gained a week! Boom Smile We must be one day out between us? Who'd have thought!

Booked my 16 week midwife apt today for 2 weeks and whooping cough jab same day. I'll be 15+6, will that matter? And what happens in the appointment?

Got normal RMC apt and scan with my consultant tomorrow, already stressing about things maybe not being okay but it only started today rather than days ago so that's progress Grin

Got the complete opposite problem with names here mummyjl15! We haven't got there yet but we've talked about it generally and in previous pregnancies and agree on about 15 girls names and maybe 1 or 2 boys ones. Did you daughter get the name you'd picked? I've known a few people change their minds when they meet the baby.

Hope your appointment goes well today Paranormalbouquet.

NoCatsHere · 11/09/2018 13:59

miami welcome I reconise your name. I really hope all goes ok for you but I can’t imagine the stress getting further along. I hope you’re being well looked after? Are they offering extra scans etc because of what happened before.

mummy this will be our third baby and I’m more struggling to find what fits with the other two names I have. I have 2 ds and we don’t know what this one will be, I think we are probably closer on girls names not boys this time!

anne I think it’s a general check over, wee taken but no bloods until the following appointment I think. My midwife didn’t listen to the heartbeat she said they didn’t in case they can’t find it easily, but I know of others who have had the HB check so I think it varies from place to place.

30 weeks tomorrow and all ok now I think. Missed a call from the hospital so will call them back in a minute to check nothing was wrong with my bloods or anything else but I’m feeling ok. I’m definitely slower now, but trying to still enjoy these final 9/10 weeks I have left. Can’t belive it’ll be single figures countdown soon! I have a birth options clinic next Monday to discuss options so hoping they’ll treat me in a positive and respectful way now I’ve decided I’d really like an elcs this time. I can’t be doing with battles or having to try and convince them in any way!

Miami81 · 11/09/2018 14:52

Thanks all. @AnneLovesGilbert yeah my changeover day is Friday so I will be 14 wks on Friday apparently. Due date is now 15th March.
@NoCatsHere thank you. We are having scans every two weeks and also I am on heparin and aspirin and progesterone at the moment. Plan at the moment is to get to 37 wks and deliver. Very very detailed growth scans with uterine dopplers of arteries etc will be happening every week if I want once we get closer to our danger zone. The doctors are being very supportive, it's just really scarey. I am dreading the 20+weeks bit, where with movements I know I will be like a cat on a hot tin roof. It's just the fact that at that stage it will all feel like it's down to me, if that makes sense.
Enjoy your last weeks.

Paranormalbouquet · 11/09/2018 18:01

Midwife weighed me and is annoyed at my lack of weight gain. I don't know why she did as it's not standard! Although I explained that I gained a lot of weight via comfort eating through miscarriages, then lost some after my surgery and have just regained it. Been eating well and aiming not to gain too much (as I started too heavy) as my consultant suggested. BMI was 32 at booking so I had plenty to spare!

Mummyj I find yoga really relaxing and helps with my terrible anxiety. Although the teacher is very pro-natural birth and anti-induction/C-Section which irritates me!

Anne my 16 week appointment was pretty minimal. BP, urine dip and a chat about delivery options. Mine doesn't do Doppler check either at that point (and is probably right as I'd have had a total melt down if she couldn't find it). I had a load of scans until 24 weeks though which kept me sane, and now feeling movements I'm ok about waiting 4 weeks between them!

Miami I'm pleased they are being so supportive. After everything you've been through you should be well cared for. And if they see growth dropping off they can consider earlier delivery. Counting kicks is my current obsession (as I know my uterine artery dopplers don't look fantastic) but am hoping my enormous placenta is dealing with it.

HidCat · 11/09/2018 18:21

@sprinkleofsunshine I'm now 13+4 and everything seems to be going well. Have you had your blood results back yet?

Glad to see everyone is ok and being well looked after if required. All good here atm too.

Labmum · 13/09/2018 10:44

@paranormal I wonder why she was bothered? Is your bump measuring ok? I'm feeling huge, boobs, bum, bump.....probably should rein it in a bit on the biscuits!

Milestone here last night, DH felt his first kicks. At 18+3 they're obviously not the strongest but definitely there!

Paranormalbouquet · 13/09/2018 11:17

Bump is measuring fine @Labmum and have lots of growth scans booked in. Baby was kicking the doppler away so clearly moving well. I don't even know why she weighed me, it's not standard now. And my consultant is very much on board with my plan not to overdo it on weight gain! I'm not dieting and am eating well, just avoiding rubbish so am not worried. And as I said I lost some weight after having major surgery (unsurprisingly) and have regained that. I do expect to gain some from now on. I'm feeling fairly big to be honest, bump is very high and big!

18 weeks is great for DH to feel kicks. My little girl likes to shout at the bump to try and get baby to move as she likes feeling the kicks! Poor baby will be terrified of big sister!

HidCat I didn't get any results for a while after Nuchal Test. I think if it's abnormal you can expect to hear much earlier though.

Labmum · 13/09/2018 11:42

@Paranormal that's really odd that she made a fuss about it? As you said I've never been weighed other than at booking in, even with DS. And with all the extra growth scans surely theres nothing to worry about with something so variable as mothers weight gain. Well done on eating well, I still can't touch fruit without my stomach turning.
Lovely that your DD likes talking to your bump. DS is determined he's having a sister and is telling everyone. Depending on scan in 2 weeks time we could have a lot of work on our hands persuading him that's its a brother.

Paranormalbouquet · 13/09/2018 20:19

My DD wants a brother. Don’t know why but she keeps saying she wants a boy.

My midwife is a little old fashioned and says she weighs everyone at this appointment. I think she subscribes to the 1lb a week, no more, no less school of thought! I’m expecting weight to shoot up from now on though.

HidCat · 14/09/2018 16:10

@Labmum so fab that your OH can feel movements now!

@Paranormalbouquet that's frustrating, I thought there was a much more relaxed approach to weight gain as long as all symptoms were good.

AnneLovesGilbert · 14/09/2018 18:09

Thanks for explaining para.

Amazing on feeling kicks labmum! How special. Must feel really real.

My step children want a sister but have called the fetus a boy’s name. Funny kids Smile

Got my screening results back today and low risk for everything which is reassuring. Bloods from booking also good. I’ve had awful anaemia in the past and my iron is looking very good which is surprising but good!

A week ago I’d put in 3lbs since bfp but I easily look like I’ve put on a stone. My boobs have changed shape. I’m rocking a Madonna-esque set of cones Shock

My cheek bones are missing too. Might be from the steroids but had my last one today so might get my face back.

sprinkleofsunshine · 15/09/2018 19:27

@HidCat that's fantastic Grin

Yes had bloods last week, first was 178, didn't get exact number on second but they had doubled Smile so very pleased! Dr just wants me to have another repeat on Monday as still so early so wants to check all still progressing as it should so fx all good with that too.

Line tests are pretty strong every day now and af kept her part of the deal and stayed away. Going by when I think I ovulated I'm 4+2 now so just keeping everything crossed!

whiteonesugar · 16/09/2018 16:40

Hi can i dip in?

I’m currently 5+1, 6th pregnancy, i have one DS who is 3.5. 3 losses before him, Cyclogest and aspirin meant i went on to have him in 2015 but sadly had another mc at 9 weeks when he was only 7 months old.

Finally felt ready to TTC again and we started in August, amazingly it worked first time and i am now 5+1.

I am using cyclogest and aspirin again. I had some brown spotting this weekend so went to the walk in at my surgery and the doc referred me to EPU so I am hoping to hear from them very soon.

Anxious and scared at the mo, really dont want this to be another mc. :(

Has anyone else been on cyclogest and had spotting? I had it with DS but it was after sex which we havent done.

Vuduvu · 16/09/2018 17:00

Congratulations @whiteonesugar and @sprinkleofsunshine. @whiteonesugar I've never been on cyclogest but did have a bleed at 5+5 followed by a couple of weeks of brown spotting which I was convinced was another loss but turned out not to be.

I'm 14+4 now and really feeling totally normal which is disconcerting. Nausea has gone, energy levels are good, my tummy is going out a little rather than in a little but definitely nowhere near a bump yet. This is the first time getting past 12 weeks for me... is it normal to feel this un-pregnant? How is everyone else at the beginning of second trimester getting on?

Labmum · 16/09/2018 18:11

@whiteonesugar congratulations and welcome. I had a bit of spotting early on before starting cyclogest so was advised by RMC to use the rectal route (delightful!). Hopefully it's just a bit of implantation bleeding making its way out. Such a worry in our situations though, fingers crossed they can get you in for an early scan soon.

HidCat · 16/09/2018 18:48

@whiteonesugar tentative congratulations and keeping everything crossed for good news for you.

whiteonesugar · 16/09/2018 21:06

Thanks guys. Fingers crossed I will be around here for a while 😬

Laney79 · 19/09/2018 10:28

I'm leaving this thread. Scan at what should e been 8+6. Baby measures 4mm and no blood flow or heartbeat. Second MMC. Heartbroken. Good luck to you all xxx

Labmum · 19/09/2018 10:55

Oh @Laney79 I'm so sorry, take care lovely and we hope to see you back here soon. There is a lovely group of ladies on the TTC thread who can offer support when you feel ready.

whiteonesugar · 19/09/2018 11:17

I am out. Had a scan yday (5+3) which showed nothing - was classed as Pregnancy of Unknown Location. Had bloods taken. HCG was 39 so its over.

Back for more bloods tomorrow but I already know the outcome.

Miscarriage number 5, second one on treatment. Sigh. :(

Eastend2015 · 19/09/2018 11:27

@laney79 and @whiteonesugar I’m so sorry for your losses. Sending you both hugs at this awful time xxx

Labmum · 19/09/2018 11:58

I'm so sorry @whiteonesugar take care, big hugs

NoCatsHere · 19/09/2018 13:43

Oh i'm so sorry whiteonesugar and laney79 take good care of yourselves. It's so unfair and shitty.
