I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

welcome maydot and laney the beginning weeks are so damn tough. I really feel for you. Take it as you can, come on here as much as you need to get through it! I would like to offer one small piece of advice which is easier said than done, but please don't let symptoms drive you nuts, from my experience they mean nothing, this is my 5th pregnancy (hopefully third baby) and absolutely every single one is different. I've had no symptoms and healthy easy pregnancies and then lots of symptoms and MMC, so try not to second guess every feeling.

fnej01 hope you are ok. it's so damn tough. I'm currently 39, just a week away from 40 so don't let your age worry you. Much love.

unicorns so happy to hear your little girl is here! I hope your stay in SCBU isn't too long.

para yes i'm still breaking it into milestones it makes it easier to cope with. I found 24 weeks very comforting to get past, and for some reason i have 30 weeks as the next one, 10 weeks to go feels nice - like counting down into single figures will feel incredible. I'm 28 weeks tomorrow so not long, although like you say it feels like its still dragging. I'm hoping once my ds goes back to school the routine of the school weeks will speed things up!

Maydot · 28/08/2018 12:16

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming!
I’m trying so hard to stay calm and not read in to every symptom but it’s almost impossible at the moment. Just trying to stay busy and do lots to distract myself. Although, I spent most of the bank holiday weekend sleeping, the tiredness has definitely kicked in!!!
We’re going camping at the weekend so that will keep me busy and I think i’m going to book an early scan for 14th Sep as I have a day off work for my birthday, I should be about 10+5 by then.

HidCat · 28/08/2018 18:14

@Laney79 it sounds like you're doing everything you can, which is great. You'll get there, fingers crossed all is well. xx

@Maydot sounds like a good plan, your scan will be here before you know it. Mine felt like an age away and now it's only 42hrs!

dovegrey18 · 29/08/2018 08:11

Morning all, can I join?

I had two miscarriages (missed miscarriage discovered at 12 weeks when I was in hospital for urosepsis - thought the heart stopped beating around 9 weeks when I contracted the infection and second miscarriage at 6+5 weeks). I then fell pregnant for a third time and although I had bleeding from 9-15 weeks I had my ds who is now 18 months.

We thought we would go for it and I've fallen pregnant quickly. Currently 4+5. Had sore boobs and nausea but I'm so worried. Trying to relax and not clock watch. Time is just going so slow. I swing from feeling ok to feeling worried.

Been to my GP who has referred me to obstetrics (I was under them in my sons pregnancy) so hopefully they will see me soon. GP also started me on antibiotics like I took last time throughout the whole pregnancy.

Is anyone else around the same time as me? Handhold much needed!

HidCat · 29/08/2018 15:33

@dovegrey18 congratulations on your pregnancy, I'm so sorry for all you've been through. I'm glad you're getting plenty of support from your doc. I'm due mid-March but I think there are a few ladies closer to you on here as well.

ToriaH84 · 29/08/2018 16:54

Good afternoon ladies. Just joining the conversation at 36w4d today 😊

I had my DS almost ten years ago and spend a number of years following his birth ttc. I had two pregnancies just after he was 4 ish. The first pregnancy, I had bleeding very early on, they identified a SCH but we saw heartbeat. At 11 weeks I had some more bleeding and was advised I had a MMC at around 8 weeks. Had to have a D&C.

7 months later I have a very early complete MC at around 4 weeks. I then did not appear to be able to conceive again but couldn’t access any testing as my husband and I had a child together so was advised I would need to have 8 MCs to be eligible for further testing!

Due to a number of unrelated reasons myself and my husband separated early last year and very unexpectedly I met someone a few months later. 7 months on from there and we found out I was pregnant Shock. It was not planned but we couldn’t have been happier once it sunk in.

Because of previous MCs we had early scans and again a SCH was found. Long story short, lots of scares, lots of monitoring and I am not almost at the final hurdle. I am being induced next week but that’s as her growth has stopped and they want to check her kidney function but all is good Smile last one for me though. Wayyyyyy too much stress

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/08/2018 17:07

Having a wee panic, haven’t posted for a bit so sorry to just randomly duck in and ask for help.

11+5 today and my lower belly is feeling really bruised and tender. It’s rock hard especially at the bottom and I’ve been really bloated since bfp as I’m on loads of progesterone but haven’t had this feeling before.

It’s not painful as such and it’s not cramping but it’s just tender and worse when I try and pull my tummy in. Loads of watery cm today too but that’s been off and on.

Has anyone had this?

Paranormalbouquet · 29/08/2018 17:50

Do you give your heparin injections in the tummy Anne? Either way given that you are on aspirin and heparin I think you should have a doctor examine you and get checked out. Hopefully it’s just everything stretching out but better be safe.

HidCat · 29/08/2018 18:01

@ToriaH84 my gosh what a journey! I hope all goes well with your induction next week, exciting eek!

Paranormalbouquet · 29/08/2018 18:38

Apologies I just answered Anne quickly- welcome to dove and toriah and congrats to you both. Good luck with the induction!

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/08/2018 19:35

Thank you para, we’re away Sad

It’s stopped now, can pull it in okay, still loads of cm. I’m feeling well in myself. I jab in the tummy but been doing them on the sides for a week so not the bit that hurt. And I know there’s sod all point in actually worrying, doesn’t make a difference to the outcome does it. But it’s been distracting having “feelings” especially when I touched it from the outside like it was tender in a band below the belly button.

With the fragmin and aspirin were you thinking an abdo rather than gynae thing?

AnneLovesGilbert · 29/08/2018 19:36

toriah, wow, you’vr had quite a time of it! Glad you’re being well monitored and looked after. You’ll meet your baby soon!

Paranormalbouquet · 29/08/2018 20:12

It's most likely just muscular pain as things stretch (we can injure ourselves much easier in pregnancy as everything is a little softer and more flexible). You'd just want to be sure you don't have a bleed into or behind muscles. It's very rare but can very occasionally happen with any heparin. Good it's settling though, makes it even less likely but do get seen to if it gets bad again. And obviously any bad abdo pain should always be checked out, pregnant or not!

Generally my first indication of pregnancy is copious amounts of CM which continues for the duration!

Are you having a nice holiday?

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/08/2018 00:45

Thank you so much para. I’ll keep an eye. Really achy this evening, arse, very mild lower back, but we had a long drive and walked loads so think I’m just a bit battered (should be asleep!)

DH is having a mad kid day tomorrow and I’m going to put my feet up. Had a lovely day thank you but probably did too much, while stressing about belly pain! I promise I’m usually pretty laid back so this general day in day out anxiety is doing my head in. I’m trying to keep busy and distracted but it’s a balancing act and I’m failing at finding balance.

Hope you’re okay x

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/08/2018 00:47

I remember the cm from past pregnancies but I’m on edge about another bleed and I had no pain last time it happened so the sudden rush of liquid has been shitting me up.

Paranormalbouquet · 30/08/2018 01:08

I’m fairly laid back generally too but have accepted I’ll be anxious throughout pregnancy. Doing some mindfulness and yoga and getting through day by day. Would like to do more exercise as definitely helps with stress- asked my consultant last week and she said I could exercise as long as it’s not high impact, cycling/rowing machine and doesn’t involve jumping/weights. And swimming is out due to stitch. So that leaves us with walking/yoga and Pilates I think!

I do know what you mean about CM- initially was constantly worried about bleeding, now I worry about waters!

I’m a bit miserable. SPD has really kicked in so sleeping badly (hence on MN late!). I’m in bed with a pillow fort to get as comfortable as possible but still hurts. On the upside I’m getting lots of lovely kicks which is definitely the best thing about pregnancy!

Labmum · 30/08/2018 12:15

@Anne hope you're feeling better soon, any discomfort is worrying in our situation but hopefully its all just normal stretching to make a bit of room. When is 12 week scan?

@Paranormalbouquet kicks sound lovely, did you have SPD with DD? Sounds uncomfortable.

I had my 16 week consultant appointment this morning, they did a quick scan which was a nice surprise, let us listen to the heartbeat and all is looking fine, baby was having a bit of a wriggle around too. I've got a family gathering this weekend so am going to have to announce it to a few people which I'm not looking forward to but have got a bit of a bump now so its quite obvious! Nice to have this reassurance first though.

Hope all the new Mums on the thread and their little bundles are doing well!

unicornxo · 30/08/2018 17:17

Hi everyone

Has anyone had an early scan and been put back then caught up? I've been for a early scan today (7 weeks today which I know is quite accurate as I was tracking ovulation etc) and they have dated me at 6 weeks but we saw a strong heart beat. I'm happy but also worried 😩

kirinm · 30/08/2018 17:58

Hello, little update from me. Our baby girl was born at 10:01am by planned section on 28 August weighing 7lb 9oz. Absolutely adore her and she was worth the first 20+ weeks of abject fear and anxiety.

HidCat · 30/08/2018 19:06

@kirinm congratulations she's absolutely beautiful!

@unicornxo not me personally but I've heard through others on here that it's quite common so try not to worry.

Paranormalbouquet · 30/08/2018 21:07

@Labmum I did have spd with DD so was expecting it. Will experiment with pillow forts tonight!

@unicornxo congrats on seeing a heartbeat. It’s common so early for dates to be out. I had lots of first trimester scans and was estimated a few days out on all of them. At 7 weeks a foetal pole is tiny (something like 7mm) so you can see how a scan is inaccurate so early.

@kirinm she’s absolutely beautiful. Delighted for you and your partner. I hope you are recovering well.

Paranormalbouquet · 31/08/2018 12:48

Just popping in again to say 24 weeks today! I have really struggled with accepting that there may be a baby to take home at the end of this but finger crossed.

Next milestone is 28 weeks. (Which is also my glucose tolerance test and growth scan date).

Miami81 · 31/08/2018 12:59

@Paranormalbouquet that's great news.
For spd my midwife mentioned either mattress topper or duvet folded in half and under the sheet. Maybe worth a shot.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 31/08/2018 15:19

Hi all - just thought I'd pop in after 'bumping into' para on another thread! Huge congratulations on your little girl Kirin - hope you're enjoying each other. So pleased to see you're 24 weeks para - it's a big milestone. And so pleased to see you both here, anne and Miami. Lots of love and good wishes to you all, especially those right near the beginning - it's so hard living with that anxiety as time drops by.

HidCat · 31/08/2018 16:33

@Paranormalbouquet great milestone for you, I'm glad everything is looking good.
