I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

@Laney79 tentative congratulations! I sincerely hope this is the one for you. How are you feeling?

Laney79 · 25/08/2018 09:56

Thanks @HidCat feeling tired more than anything. No sickness/nausea as yet. Had cramps/stretching on and off and also finding sleeping tough as I keep waking for a wee then can't get back off! Was similar with my little bean earlier In the year. Oh and boobs are huge! Double boobage on the bra! How are you? X

HidCat · 25/08/2018 15:00

I'm ok thanks @Laney79. I've had horrible sickness in the evenings for the last couple of weeks and I've been anxious pretty much all the way through. I'm a bit more relaxed now that I've hit the 11 week mark and I know I've only got 5 days until my scan so that's helped. I'm just hoping to get some energy back in the next few weeks!

Maydot · 25/08/2018 15:39

Hi everyone, do you mind if I join you?
I’m 7+6 today, had a MMC at 12 weeks in May (stopped developing between 8 & 9 wks) and I’m driving myself crazy worrying about symptoms!

intelligentPutty · 25/08/2018 23:16

Wow @UnicornsandRainbows1 Congratulations!!!

Hope u are doing ok and the nicu is treating u well. Look after yourself. Soon you'll be bringing her home.
My sil has lb at 32 weeks about 18 months ago. He's doing amazing and you wouldn't know he was prem.

intelligentPutty · 25/08/2018 23:17

Hey @Maydot

Those first weeks will drive you nuts. It'll get easier. And we are all here to talk until then. X

fnej01 · 26/08/2018 09:32

Hi Ladies,

Can I join please? Had a MMC in June at 12 wks. Think I am five weeks today, found out last Sunday, but I have been in denial/POAS every few hours for the last week. Have decided I need to stop POAS as I am stressing about the line not darkening - even though FRER is a good dark line, it's just not darker than control yet. I have quite a few symptoms nausea etc, but no sore boobs. I think I will probably go slowly mad in coming weeks I think.
How are you all managing to stay sane?
Lovely to see lots of names here from the TTC after miscarriage threads. Good luck to us all x

HidCat · 26/08/2018 10:41

@maydot and @fnej01 congratulations and welcome! It will be a really anxious time but you'll get there. I miscarried at 11 weeks last time and I've found it really difficult. I'm now 11 + 3 and the anxiety is starting to drop. We'll get you through.

fnej01 · 27/08/2018 08:55

Thanks for the welcome @HidCat, unfortunately I have a feeling I won't be on this thread long. I did a clear blue digital yesterday and this morning and it's only showing 1-2 weeks, according to LMP I should be 5+1 today, so should get a 2-3 weeks on cbd. I did this as my IC tests all still coming up light lines.
Not really sure what to do now ie contact EPU or GP and see if they will check HCG levels?
Am gutted 😢
Wishing you all sticky beans x

Paranormalbouquet · 27/08/2018 09:14

@maydot and @fnej01 Welcome! The first trimester after losses is awful, but everyone here has been through it, most of us more than once unfortunately.

With regards to CB digital tbh I wouldn’t rely on their dating. With DD I had a completely normal pregnancy and didn’t get a 3+ until I was over 7 weeks. With my MMC earlier this year I had a 3+ even after passing the sac following medical management. This time I didn’t use them at all and am now 23 weeks.

HidCat getting past date of previous losses is great. I felt more confident this time after seeing a heartbeat at 9 weeks as my losses had been 5 weeks, 6 weeks and MMC at 10 weeks but baby hadn’t progressed past 8. My short cervix has obviously been the source of anxiety since then but scan last week showing that the stitch is in good position and the low fetal fibronectin was reassuring. Fingers crossed for a good scan next week for you.

Movements better again the last few days, hopefully settling into a pattern of sorts now. I feel them mostly to either side as placenta is right in midline. DH can feel some of the movements now which is lovely. Scans booked for 28, 32 and 36 weeks to monitor growth which will hopefully keep me sane too.

Hope all our graduates are doing well with their little bundles. A girl at work had her baby a few days ago who shared the same due date as my last miscarriage, I’m delighted for her (it’s been a long hard journey to a baby for her) but obviously thinking I should have a baby in my arms by now. Very lucky to be as far as I am with this one though.

Next milestone is 24 weeks. Do we all break the pregnancy down into little milestones?

Paranormalbouquet · 27/08/2018 09:18

@fnej01 there’s no harm contacting EPU, although they may just ask you to wait and see and book you in for a scan at 7 weeks. Mine doesn’t do serial hcgs unless there’s a worry about ectopic/molar pregnancy- I had a few with my MMC as there was a concern about a partial mole- hcg was sky high but thankfully it was just my body being stupid and not realising the baby had died rather than a mole.

fnej01 · 27/08/2018 09:21

@Paranormalbouquet thanks for the reply. I think I will contact EPU, as just have a horrible feeling all not well. I so hope I am wrong... I have also read on google (I know, I know...) that it could be ectopic which I would rather pick up sooner than later if possible.
Glad you are counting down your milestones. X

Paranormalbouquet · 27/08/2018 09:38

Just remember that no matter how regular your periods are that you may still be a day or two out on dates. You could ovulate day 16 instead of 14, or implant a little late. So getting a 1-2 at 5+1 isn’t especially unusual! And IC lines tend to be faint for ages, mine can be barely there with a strong frer. So it might all be fine, or obviously it may not be but I don’t think the home tests will tell you to be honest.

But we’ve all been pregnant again after loss, and we’ve all been obsessive and paranoid so we all understand! I think I went into denial this time around to be honest, didn’t even test until I was over a week late.

fnej01 · 27/08/2018 10:24

Thanks @Paranormalbouquet I'll just try to stay calm and will check in with EPU see what they say. Best wishes to you for rest of your pregnancy x

Anxiousfeelings · 27/08/2018 14:16

Welcome @maydot, @fnej and @laney, Those first few weeks are a trial, sending positive thoughts your way.

@unicorns congratulations! So glad she is doing well.

@para I certainly break it down into milestones. 25 weeks tomorrow- can’t believe it has got this far, i realise I’m also now very dependent on feeling movement to curb the anxiety.

HidCat · 27/08/2018 17:49

@Paranormalbouquet so glad everything is progressing well for you!

@fnej01 definitely get hold of the midwife and have the conversation to get the ball rolling. As @Paranormalbouquet repeating tests at this point can cause more anxiety than it relieves so hopefully all is well with the little one.

fnej01 · 27/08/2018 18:09

Thanks ladies for all your support I really have appreciated it. I am going to sign off this thread for now, as intuitively I just don't feel all is well. I will speak to EPU tomorrow, and go from there.
Wishing you all a massive luck with your sticky beans. I'm 38 so if all fails I will be cracking back on as soon as I can and I hope to be rejoining you soon xx

Laney79 · 27/08/2018 22:22

Argh. Having a wobble tonight ladies. I'm stressing that this little one will end up being a MMC like my bean in March. I've coped ok so far but just feel so anxious tonight. Haven't been peeing as frequently, although boobs still big and a bit tender. Had so few symptoms last time so never really spotted anything awry, same this time. I'm tired but then I always am. No bleeding or any pain to suggest anything has gone wrong, but then that was the same in March. I'm only 5+4. This is going to be a very long few weeks. I'm so desperate for my little bow to be ok. Am I nuts to wish I was throwing up or at least feeling sick? Must. Fight. The. Crazy. X

Eastend2015 · 27/08/2018 22:32

Ahh @laney79 love, I know exactly how you feel. I’m 6 weeks tomorrow. I felt terrible on Saturday- kept throwing up and couldn’t even hold down water. It was so bad I thought I actually had a bug. Since then things have eased quite a bit so now I’m worried that things aren’t progressing. Unfortunately strong symptoms haven’t always meant a good outcome for us and given how variable things have been I don’t know what to think!!

Eastend2015 · 27/08/2018 22:36

@fnej01 I hope things do work out for you lovely Flowers

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 28/08/2018 06:41

@BertieBotts how is everything going now? Smile

HidCat · 28/08/2018 07:26

@Laney79 the anxiety is a killer. It doesn't matter if the symptoms are there or not, the anxiety will be there. Have a good chat with your midwife and consider getting an early scan of your hospital won't give you one.

Labmum · 28/08/2018 07:28

@laney79 that's understandable, all of us on this thread have been there so we get it. Do you have an early scan arranged?

Have any of you ladies had a 16 week appointment with the RMC antenatal team? Just wondering what to expect? Scan? Doppler? I've really no clue at all!

Laney79 · 28/08/2018 08:26

Thanks guys. @HidCat @Labmum yep-early scan booked for 19th sept when I should be 8+6...only 5+5 today so feels like a really long time! I'm very lucky, my EPAU nurse has been amazing and booked me in straight away. It's the day after I have an appt with a consultant to discuss birth options (I want a csection-have real issues with medical phobia and control is my coping mechanism. This appt was booked even before I fell pregnant again)

@Eastend2015 I wish there was a way to not feel this way. I guess it was simpler in the days before home tests and frers as you wouldn't know so early so the wait wouldn't be as long.

Trying to stay positive. Trying REALLY hard!!!

Paranormalbouquet · 28/08/2018 08:42

@Laney79 I think the anxiety is inevitable. If it’s any consolation I’m on my 5th pregnancy. Have 1 DD, 3 first trimester losses and now 23 weeks. In my experience symptoms in no way correlate with success. I had no symptoms really with DD, 2 days nausea in total and some fatigue after 8 weeks. 1st two miscarriages, no symptoms either. 3rd miscarriage was missed, picked up on scan at 10 weeks- nausea, vomiting, fatigue- every symptom possible. This pregnancy- mild on and off nausea and fatigue in first trimester. Obviously didn’t stop me being paranoid about them but definitely not linked for me!!

Labmum I haven’t had a RMC appt after 12 weeks but at my preterm prevention clinic at 16 weeks they did a quick scan. Which was great as heartbeats can be elusive with dopplers so early especially with my anterior placenta.

It’s brilliant to see you so far along now too. Everyone else’s pregnancies seem to be flying along and mine is crawling- does anyone else feel that way?!
