I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

Congrats beanhunter! Unicorns another scan will be a nice treat, glad growth was good.

What kind of pram did you get Bertie? I’ll be reusing my much loved Bugaboo Cameleon.

NoCats I’m 20+6 (actually I think I’m really 20+4 by ovulation but scans don’t change dates unless more than 5 days out). Movement definitely getting stronger but very erratic. Baby is bouncing off my cervix a lot today, hope my stitch can handle it!

Paranormalbouquet · 10/08/2018 08:30

Something momentous has happened- kicks are getting stronger and can be felt from the outside at times! Still erratic compared with DD at this stage but a lovely reassuring feeling nonetheless. 21weeks today, next scan (and first fetal fibronectan, gulp) in 12 days.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 10/08/2018 09:13

@Paranormalbouquet Hoping she'll behave but I think her position is actually worse this morning 🙈

Oh that's excellent news. Keep up the good work MiniPB!

keeponrunning85 · 10/08/2018 09:37

Great news on the movements paranormal! What is the fetal fibronectan checking for?

Don't talk to me about sideways babies unicorns! I have spent far too much time worrying about the position of this baby and tried all the various positions that were meant to help. They would occasionally turn just to go back again. I have finally accepted it is just another one of those things we have no control over unfortunately. There is still time for you and I hope she turns.

Paranormalbouquet · 10/08/2018 09:47

It can be a predictor of prematurity- as far as I know a negative result is very reassuring; a positive means a 20-30% risk of labour before 34 weeks. I’m just anxious I’ll have a false positive and then be EVEN more worried than I already am! Hoping the movements start to become more regular now, baby still has lots of space to turn around and get into positions I can’t feel though I suppose!

Unicorn my DD was constantly in a funny position until 34 weeks when she finally extricated her head from under my ribs and lodged it deep into my pelvis. My bump changed overnight and I developed a sudden waddle. This time as I’m having a section anyway I don’t really care about baby’s position (although lodged under ribs is not comfortable so hopefully they won’t take up residence there!).

My bump is very high this time already- a good few fingers above belly button. Also strangely narrow (which will change I know!).

Thanks bertie i was chuffed with my find. Its just an older bugaboo plus model, so not as fancy as the bugaboo 3, but it is decent enough for what i need, which is a nip round on the school run or trip in town. I have a stroller from before from 6 months on, so unless i love the bugaboo i'll probably pop in back on to eBay when i don't need it anymore. It has the older style cocoon, not a more solid carrycot, but looks cosy enough and to be honest i think i'll wear baby loads as i love it and it'll be easier with two other kiddos in tow! Cant believe baby is engaged, you're getting so close now!

beanhunter i recognise your name! so happy to have you here, will keep everything crossed for you all stays well.

And yay para for more movement, mine is much more frequent now at 25 weeks, but its definitely taken a long time to feel decent from the outside.

Paranormalbouquet · 10/08/2018 10:19

NoCats I love my bugaboo. Never switched to a stroller- have one for holidays etc and always hated it! It pushes so easily, turns so easily, is lovely and comfortable for baby- big fan here! I did babywear a lot too, but didn’t like my ergobaby in first few months when infant support was needed. Possibly as was mid summer and roasting. Was thinking of a stretchy wrap this time but not sure I could manage tying it up- what are you planning to use?

NoCatsHere · 10/08/2018 11:39

para thats good to know about the bugaboos, lots of my friends loved theirs and the bee is perfect for me for not being a bulky pram!
i have a stretchy wrap - a Hana one - which i loved early on for when baby was tiny. It was easy enough to use once i tried it out a few times and felt cosy. the tying takes a little precise, but honestly its easy once you get the hang of it, and its not too hot so i used to wear my last round the house if i needed to make dinner etc and they would not be put down! I'll need to refresh myself on how to tie it probably as it'll have been 4 years!
both my previous two babies have been winter babies so wearing them has been really nice and cosy for me! then i have an ergo for when they are bigger.

Paranormalbouquet · 10/08/2018 12:44

Thanks NoCats I will look into stretchy wraps in a few months if all continues to go to plan.

Got a bit annoyed with a friend who knows my history today. She's getting married soon and worried she will have trouble conceiving (not ever having tried). She actually said "I hope I'm like you and get pregnant easily; at least after your miscarriages you could just go for it again". After 3 miscarriages, multiple (often painful) procedures and investigations and culminating in a major abdominal surgery at 11 weeks pregnant I thought it was insensitive?!

Obviously I am delighted to be 21 weeks and feel very lucky to be where I am, but it has not been an easy road to get here. And like you all am struggling with the uncertainty and knowing I'm at high risk of premature labour means I'll probably not relax until baby is here.

Delilah7 · 10/08/2018 13:02

Hi ladies. I wondered if I could join.
I was pregnant 2 weeks ago with the my first baby unfortunately last week I miscarried. I'm so excited to start again but it's now dawning on me if I'm going to over obsess about things. I'm so scared. I'm 23 and this is all such a new thing for me :(

Sending you all lots of hugs xx

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 10/08/2018 14:56

@Paranormalbouquet my sister is a bit like this - thinks she'll have trouble conceiving as she's been on the pill so around 10 years but has never come off it and attempted to have a baby (and has a bf who doesnt want another child his end but that's for another time). I think people just don't get the emotional side of it or the surgeries/tablets/general horrific shit you go through unless they are there themselves.

@Delilah7 I'm really sorry for your loss and the last couple of weeks for you. There's a TTC after MC thread somewhere if that may help you, they're really lovely ladies and most of us here actually came over from that thread.

Labmum · 10/08/2018 15:11

@Paranormalbouquet I used a caboo close and loved it. It was lovely and cosy and was really easy to use and no tying involved. I took part in a preterm labour study with DS and had swabs and internal cervical scans done regularly so its interesting to hear how its done diagnostically.

Delilah7 · 10/08/2018 15:12

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I'll have to try and find it. Thank you xx

BertieBotts · 10/08/2018 15:17

We have got a Mutsy Evo which is really popular in Germany but seems less well known in the UK? But I'm really happy with it and am looking forward to using it :)

I had a stretchy wrap when DS1 was little too and I would defo recommend them. The tying isn't at all difficult because you do it before you put the baby in anyway. I could never get the hang of the ones where you tie it around the baby while holding their weight.

HidCat · 11/08/2018 08:39

@Paranormalbouquet I bet that's really reassured by as well as just a general libel feeling. I can't wait to feel movements. I hope the test gives you reassurance too. That was so insensitive of your friend but highlights how little we all know about miscarriage unless it actually happens to us. I hope she doesn't have to go through it but how you didn't educate her there and then I don't know.

@Delilah7 I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope treatment hasn't been too traumatic for you and wish you all the best in TTC again.

I had a clear out I. The attic on Thursday and was really pleased to find my pushchair had survived storage. We had a Mamas and Papas Zoom and I loved it so really happy not to have to find a new one. I never got the hang of my stretchy wrap last time around but will probably give it another go.

beanhunter · 11/08/2018 10:56

Having a stress this morning. Boobs no longer sore, cramps seem stronger and frer no darker than 2 days ago. It’s all over already isn’t it?

NoCatsHere · 11/08/2018 12:35

Oh bean i really hope not. i know that on/off symptoms is totally normal, and that although FRER's are great, the slight change in when you did the test might make all the difference. You're not actually bleeding are you? Please take that as a good sign, try and have a restful weekend and we are here for you. Stay away from the tests though, i'm sure they've only ever worried me, not reassured me!

beanhunter · 11/08/2018 13:37

@nocats - not bleeding. Tests all done at the same time. Have no more frer and we are in South Africa. Have brought 3 more cheaper tests which are less sensitive but hopefully will help me feel that at least it’s not gone wrong. Just so anxious.

unicornxo · 11/08/2018 14:10

Hi everyone, hope it's ok that I join 😁
I had a MMC in June and have just got a BFP after my first circle. I'm only around 4 weeks and feeling so nervous already. I'm going to have a private scan between 7 and 8 weeks, but it seems forever away!!

mummyjl15 · 12/08/2018 00:40

Hey everyone! Just catching up on all the news. Haven’t had a chance to get on here this week, work’s been mental!
I’m 21+5 (just as I realise it’s gone midnight lol!), been feeling so uncomfortable the last couple of days. This baby is so low I’m constantly having to pee! I didn’t have this until around 30 weeks with my first baby so I’m hoping he/she is just in an odd position and will give me a break soon.
I’m so thankful for being uncomfortable and having all these symptoms though. A year ago today my first miscarriage had only just completed after a horrible 7 weeks of waiting for it to be over. I never thought I’d get to this stage again in a pregnancy so I’m so so thankful 🙏🏻

HidCat · 12/08/2018 09:28

@beanhunter try not to overanalyse the test lines, they can vary so much in the early days and aren't necessarily cause for concern. I hope you're ok, the anxiety is a nightmare.

@unicornxo congratulations on your bfp. I hope lol goes well for you this time.

@mummyjl15 I hope baby has a wriggle soon, they do like to sit in the most awkward positions 😆

Paranormalbouquet · 12/08/2018 11:55

Bean I don’t think FRERs are brilliant for showing progression. In fact I don’t think anything shows progression brilliantly, even the digital tests. If no bleeding I’d say the cramping is totally normal. It’s your uterus settling in and stretching.

Unicorn welcome, hope it’s a successful time for you.

After my excitement about feeling stronger movement baby has gone back to gentle wriggles and sitting on my bladder I think. Hoping for strong kicks again very soon. Pregnancy after losses is torture at times isn’t it!!

unicornxo · 13/08/2018 12:12

I've woken up with a pain on the inside of my left shoulder blade this morning. It feels like it's coming down from my neck and pulls when I turn my head to the left.

I googled and ectopic comes up but I don't think the pain is in the right place and I have no other symptoms. Possibly just where I slept funny but has anybody else had this?

Delilah7 · 13/08/2018 12:29

Here's a question for you ladies.
So nearly two weeks ago I miscarried as you well know. My flo app tells me my ovulation day is tomorrow based on me putting in my miscarriage bleed as a period. Now, we DTD Friday and yesterday and since Saturday I've had the mucus in my pants and on tissue again. I now have pain which I would class as how my old ovulation pain felt like. Could I really be ovulating again this soon???

intelligentPutty · 13/08/2018 16:18

Hi Delilah.
I had mc on 5th feb and conceived again on it around 14th (now 26 weeks). So yes. I'd say it definitely is possible!
