I've lost count of what number we were on, sorry.

Also there seems to be another BFP after MC thread running, but it has all different people on it so I didn't know if we should crash theirs or just have two running at once...

@keeponrunning85 Ah! Enjoy maternity leave pre-baby. Mine starts next Thursday and I cannot wait. I have friday off this week so going to the nearest Lido despite the thunderstorm threat!

CobaltRose · 25/07/2018 12:24

Had an early scan yesterday. I was so nervous I almost had a panic attack in the waiting room!

But...

Scan revealed a healthy peanut with a strong heartbeat. ❤ Measuring right on time for dates (thought I was 7w1d and I am Grin). Also, does the second pic look like a flying saucer to anyone else? Grin

EDD: 11th March 2019 ❤

HidCat · 25/07/2018 12:41

@Flatwhite32 she's gorgeous, congratulations!

Congratulations to those who've had positive scans as well, lovely to hear.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 25/07/2018 15:37

@Flatwhite32 What a squidge muffin. Congratulations again :)

@CobaltRose Yes it does!! 😂

mummyjl15 · 25/07/2018 23:02

@Flatwhite32 OMG she’s so beautiful!! And 7.5hours! Amazing!

Such amazing news for you too @CobaltRose !
Congratulations ladies!

Anxiousfeelings · 26/07/2018 06:00

Good news @cobalt!

All looked good at my 20 week scan yesterday and we are having a boy! He was very active throughout. Obviously delighted that all is well, but it still seems unreal in a way.

Flatwhite32 · 26/07/2018 07:31

Thank you everyone! She really is our little rainbow.
@Anxiousfeelings so glad your 20 week scan went well. A boy - how lovely!
@CobaltRose that's lovely news about your early scan! Such a relief for you, as I know how nerve racking those early weeks are.
@keeponrunning85 enjoy mat leave! Its such a great feeling!
@kirinm Enjoy the lido. Could do with one of those today, as we are expecting 34C here. Yuck!

kirinm · 26/07/2018 08:31

@Flatwhite32 there were rumours it'd be 36 in London. Sadly I'm at work today although thankfully my office is air conditioned.

BertieBotts · 26/07/2018 08:38

Ooh look at her! And the little peanut/shrimp/flying saucer Grin

All these babies :)

@Anxiousfeelings that's fab. Glad everything went well for you.

@kirinm I'm so jealous of your air conditioned office. I've nicknamed mine the Sweat Box - can't spend more than about 20mins in there for brain fade on hot days!

kirinm · 26/07/2018 09:20

It should be illegal not to ensure there's air conditioning in offices in this sort of temperature @HidCat

HidCat · 26/07/2018 09:26

@kirinm the annoying thing is that they had air con installed when they built the building but the plant is across the road and when they laid the road they broke the pipe. The council have refused to dig it up to repair it ever since. Ironically the heating system in the office is sketchy too (controls also installed by the council) so we boil in summer and freeze in winter (think coats, blankets and hot water bottles).

BlueeSpottyTiger · 26/07/2018 09:29

Congrats Flatwhite she is absolutley gorgeous 💖

I hope everyone is doing well, I haven't been on mumsnet for a long time and lost the thread 🤦

I'm 40+5 now, Having a sweep tomorrow & it's a full moon so hoping little Man will make an entrance very soon.
If not I'll be booked in for an induction next Thursday or Friday! 😁 Cannot wait for dd to be a big sister 💖

Hello everyone,

Wondered if I could join?

I had a missed miscarriage resolved by ERPC in early April and on Monday discovered that I’m pregnant again.

I wanted to ask how those of you past this point managed the early days and weeks from an anxiety point of view. I’m trying my hardest not to obsessively test but it’s a daily struggle Smile

I haven’t rtft, just the last couple of pages so please tell me if I should start from the beginning if this has been covered.

Many congratulations on your gorgeous daughter flatwhite Flowers

NoCatsHere · 26/07/2018 15:51

flatwhie many congrats she’s beautiful! Sounds like the birth was all good. Enjoy the random crying, it is all part of the newborn experience!
anxious so glad 20 week scan was good and yay for the boy!
bluee good luck with the sweep, sure it won’t be long now! All these babies is making me so excited for November!
saturday everyone is different, i think the only way I coped early on was voicing how I felt as often as I needed on here, everyone is so understanding, and I did test a lot, which probably isn’t a great idea! And I also got a reassurance scan at 9 weeks at the epu.

kirinm · 26/07/2018 16:00

@SaturdaySauv I'll be honest, the first 17 weeks were hard as I had bleeds frequently. I tried to just take things day-by-day but it was slow going. I breathed a huge sigh of relief at the 20 week scan and started to properly relax at 24 weeks. It's a hard slog to be honest.

SaturdaySauv · 26/07/2018 16:22

Thanks both. I’ll prepare for the first and hope for the best then Smile

Sorry to hear you had stressful times at first too. Not surprising really!

Verity23 · 27/07/2018 07:36

Congratulations flatwhite, she's beautiful.

I had my scan today and thankfully it was good news. We saw a tiny, flickering heartbeat and I'm measuring 5 +6 which is pretty close to what I thought. I have a subchorionic haematoma which was the cause of the bleeding but she said it looked very small so it's probably going to be gone very soon. It's such a relief after what's been a very stressful week!

HidCat · 27/07/2018 08:26

@Verity23 I'm glad things are looking good, especially after all the worry.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/07/2018 09:05

@Verity23 Wonderful news, must be a relief to at least know where you're at now. Hoping that as it's so small it just clears up quickly and you don't have any more issues with bleeding.

Anxiousfeelings · 27/07/2018 15:48

@verity23 that’s great news!

@saturdaySauv I’d echo what others have said, it’s tough. I took it day by day and the first trimester really dragged. I had a 9 week reassurance scan which helped. Also this group is amazing! Be nice to yourself, best of luck.

Following the scan, I’ve alllowed myself to look at some baby boy clothing (a new world after 4 years of DD). I like to think it’s the road to acceptance and a little bit of relaxation! We also told DD.

mummyjl15 · 28/07/2018 18:10

Hi @SaturdaySauv sorry for your previous loss but huge congrats on this pregnancy!
I agree, just talking about how you feel is a huge help in the early days. I had 3 recurrent miscarriages having had an easy/straight forward pregnancy with my daughter. With this pregnancy I didn’t relax until a few weeks ago but everyone is different. I just didn’t want to accept it was actually happening in cas if another loss.
I’m now 19+4 with a healthy baby on board so I’m starting to enjoy this pregnancy now.
I’d definitely recommend going to see your GP to discuss how you’re feeling, I did that through one of my mc’s and the early stages of this pregnancy and found it a massive help :)

SaturdaySauv · 29/07/2018 08:01

Thank you mummyjl15 I had considered going to the gp so I may well do that. I think having an outlet will help. My DH is lovely and incredibly supportive but I don’t think he 100% understands the added pressure and responsibly when it was my body that let things down last time.
I’m feeling a little like you say- that I can’t contemplate it working out. It’s going to be a very slow few weeks I think!

It’s brilliant that you’re starting to relax now- almost half way there!

I have a 2.5 year old DD too- pregnancy with her was very straight forward and we conceived immediately so although I was always very anxious about miscarriage- I think I thought I’d be ok. One day at a time for the moment I think. Thanks for being kind Flowers
