I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

Evening all Smile

Congrats and welcome to all those who have joined!

Went for our early scan today - going by period date I thought I was 6 weeks but must have got my dates wrong. According to the scan we’re only 5 weeks along and nothing to really see yet except a gestational sac - so something’s in there at least! Booked back in for 2 weeks time so hoping things progress, got to stay positive in the meantime but I must admit I was hoping for more Confused

These 2 weeks cant go fast enough!!

hayleyfx · 09/06/2018 21:16

Just sitting on the bathroom floor here... first proper wave of nausea kicked in!! Forgot how yucky it felt. Hope it doesn’t get too bad just yet 😬

@MamaSarai hope everything goes well at your next scan! It must be frustrating, a scan at 5 weeks really doesn’t tell you much. There should be a little heart beating away at the next one 😊

jeanzbeanz · 09/06/2018 21:30

I have a scan on Friday and can't waaait. Will be six weeks and a bit by then. I also couldn't face the thought of getting all the way to 12 weeks before finding no heartbeat or similar, especially as I want to tell friends sooner than that. I know it's no guarantee but I feel happier sharing the news once I've seen a heartbeat Smile

It did occur to me though, if this is not a viable pregnancy then I'd definitely have to fork out another £80 if I got pregnant again... could get expensive!

Absolutely no reason why anything should be wrong, I have age/health etc very much on my side, but really can't help but fear the worst.

I still have SUCH soor boobs - they are agony to touch and even hurts to walk. Showers are so painful. Hoping it doesn't last much longer, although it's kind of reassuring to have some kind of symptoms! My crampy pains have mostly gone apart from the occasional twinge (which sends me running for the bathroom to do a knicker check). I do feel totally exhausted and a bit nauseous when I've been bending down / rushing around. Everyone says the morning sickness kicks in at six weeks, so I'll see how next week goes!

jeanzbeanz · 09/06/2018 21:32

@MamaSarai glad you could see something on your scan! I'm not sure of my dates and a bit nervous that there will be nothing to see next week. It will be two weeks since my (very strong) BFP so really hoping I'll be 6+ by then. Can't wait to have a proper EDD!

jeanzbeanz · 09/06/2018 21:35

@babyhopeful2018 the NHS website tells you to ring your doctor straight away. I'm in W Yorkshire and they said they didn't need to see me, they would just book me in for a midwife appt for 21st of this month when I'll be 8 weeks. They went by my last period so it's a bit early but I didn't correct them ;) think it will make it feel a bit more real to talk to a medical professional about it. I half wished I'd just made a doctor's appt instead so I could have talked to someone about my MC concerns!

KimRobs87 · 09/06/2018 21:37

@jeanzbeanz - I'm on WY too - where abouts are you. My first appointment is 21st too - spooky! X

jeanzbeanz · 09/06/2018 21:56

@KimRobs87 how bizarre! I'm in North Leeds Smile

KimRobs87 · 09/06/2018 22:05

Halifax - not far from me then! Lol x

jeanzbeanz · 09/06/2018 22:08

Nice to know I'm not the only Yorkshire lady on here Smile xx

KimRobs87 · 09/06/2018 22:10

Haha, same here! At least we have someone to check things with as imagine timescales / policies will be about the same x

FrowningFlamingo · 10/06/2018 00:27

I received my scan appt in the post today. No booking appt though. And the scan is at 15+3 Hmm

Satsuma2019 · 10/06/2018 03:35

Evening all,

I got a BFP yesterday. Im so excited to tell my partner. Hes been away so was waiting to tell him when he returned home so I could see his reaction.

My sleeping pattern is all over the place. I tend to feel sleepy during the day and keep dosing off and wide awake of a night time. Is this normal? Smile

ronniemipperton · 10/06/2018 05:31

Congrats @Satsuma2019 Smile

Yes, lots of people in here sharing the sleep issue - myself included (she says at 5.30am...)

LouiseD2018 · 10/06/2018 08:17

I had some very light pink spotting after what felt like period pains yesterday, ironically that didn't panic me in the slightest as I remember the colour with DD a couple of days before the positive which lead me to believe it was implantation.
It seems a bit late for that now but who knows. I keep wondering if the sac wasn't fully implanted because of loose blood up there, it could have reacted differently when pushed, especially if it had not long been formed. So perhaps it's burrowing a little deeper.

I will hopefully find out my 2nd blood results today and see if I can continue hoping for a while longer. I'm at a christening for which dp is godfather so I'm going to position myself near the exit so I can take a call if i need to.
So far no more spotting & my boobs are increasingly sore, I'm taking that as a positive, with all my fingers crossed!

I’m due 1st of Feb according to doctor based on period so still early days but had to tell my boss as the sort of job I’m in means I had to change some parts for beans safety! But he’s been incredibly supportive. It’s my 2nd pregnancy and omg the difference!! I feel horrific! Beyond exhausted, boobs absolute agony and the sickness! Oh the sickness! Currently struggling to keep down even water at points! Think I may have to ring the doctors for advice tomorrow as haven’t got a date to see the midwife yet! I’ve heard apparently extreme sickness is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy though so here’s hoping! Just got to make sure all is well for now! Congrats to all of you as well!!

Fredthespider · 10/06/2018 08:21

That doesn’t sound right FrowningFlamingo!! My trust say the screening scan for the syndromes has to be when you’re between 11+2 and 14+1. So unless you’ve opted out they wouldn’t be able to do them at 15+3. Also no way would I be able to wait that long!!!

KimRobs87 · 10/06/2018 08:34

@Fredthespider - I thought that too. Might be worth checking @FrowningFlamingo x

Bluelagoon25 · 10/06/2018 09:14

I am due February 14th :) first time so very excited but also nervous about the whole experience.
As I am only 4 weeks we haven't told many people yet which is hard with the little white lies... I work in a very small team at work and I am sure they've noticed!

LittleD0t · 10/06/2018 09:23

I'm due 14th Feb also Smile currently around 4+2.
Completely anxious and driving myself a little bit insane with hoping that every little pain etc is ok as this is my first.
I've never been so bloated in my life. I'm already starting to struggle to squeeze into my trousers.
Looking forward to sharing the experience with you all.

KimRobs87 · 10/06/2018 09:24

@Bluelagoon25 - it's so hard to keep it a secret isn't it! You'll be surprised, I thought everyone at work knew with my first but when I told them they were shocked!

I know the girls in my netball teams are figuring it out now as I haven't played for a few weeks (and won't be) as one of them asked me if I had a 'bad back' again? (Which was my white lie first time lol).

Good luck xx

ronniemipperton · 10/06/2018 09:33

Coming up this week I have: a conference with drinks reception followed by team pub trip on Monday, a private view DH has been working on on Tuesday which I normally love going to for the free bubbles Grin, away with work overnight on Wednesday with team meal and drinks, another conference on Thursday with drinks reception and then train beers on the way home. Pretty sure there’s no way I’m going to get through this without anyone noticing something’s up...

Seafoodeatit · 10/06/2018 09:52

@ronniemipperton I would lay the ground work in now, say you're not feeling well and by midweek be too unwell for alcohol?

@LouiseD2018 I hope they don't keep you waiting too long for your results today, I hope the numbers are great.

craftymum01 · 10/06/2018 10:02

I know how you feel. We are going away with my entire DH's family on Saturday for a week. They will be expecting me to drink coffee and alcohol, vape and go in the hot tub. I reckon I will be there about 20 minutes before they figure it out!

Cloud9889 · 10/06/2018 10:13

By LMP I’m 7 weeks tomorrow but I know I ovulated late so more like 6 weeks. When I rang my dr they didn’t have any booking in appointments until July! Crazy!! I’m in the process of registering with dr nearer me so hopefully will get one sooner. Has anyone else had this delay? With DS1 I had my booking in appointment at the hospital I was due to give birth in with a random midwife who I never saw again so maybe if they can’t fit me in with the dr based midwife they might just refer me to the main maternity unit? I don’t realllt mind either way would rather have it sooner than later though!

CrabbyPatty · 10/06/2018 11:33

Hello. I'm 6 weeks today
Had a miscarriage in March discovered at 11 weeks and don't want to get my hopes up. If it sticks around this will be our first baby. My main symptom is I'm super itchy. Went for a walk yesterday and was relentlessly scratching like a maniac. No sickness, aversions or cravings (unless you count chocolate but that's normal for me). I've been tired and moody. Boobs hurt a bit occasionally. Nice to meet you all. Xxx
