Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

Cobalt Superdrug tests are notorious for false line. Never trust a thing you see on them.
I would try a different brand.

LJFM2B · 08/05/2018 09:41

@SecretStash its so scary isnt it, its so awful that you got to the 12wk mark where your supposed to relax and then it happened! its terrible at any time but i can imagine that will put a cloud of worry over this time around. Sorry.

Iv MC @ 9wks, 8wks and 5+4 ... i have never had an early scan before hand no, and im now taking baby asprin? im just keeping everything crossed that taking this means everything will be ok.

I think you should be entitled to NHS viability scan to reassure you a little.
xx

DareToDream89 · 08/05/2018 13:24

@LJFM2B how did you get your visibility scan? I'm still waiting for midwife team to call me for booking in appointment. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, should I call them and ask? X

LJFM2B · 08/05/2018 14:53

@DareToDream89 i just went to my doctors and requested a referral to EPU for early scan (my previous midwife advised the that this was the best way) ... and the doctors ask why? and i explained 3 previous MC's and she just done the referral no other questions asked.... i think if you go to your doctors and do the same and say because of your history you are putting stress on yourself with worry and questioning every little twinge - they should do it .... this was all told to me by a lovely midwife after i had my second MC... and lets face it even if "stress" might be topping it up its not far from the truth is it ... such worrying and anxious times x

LJFM2B · 08/05/2018 15:02

JUST AN IDEA

In my last MN group somebody who was good with technology done a spreadsheet which we could some how all access and input our details in so we could see clearly every bodies updates. Mums net names, ages, locations, Due dates, gender (when ever you find out), single/multiple birth, cravings and finally name, weight, sex and delivery date so we could all be kept up to date.

I thought it was pretty cool i thought if anybody can do that sort of thing [confusion] unfortunately not me, would be good to get one going for anybody who wanted to join in?

SecretStash · 08/05/2018 15:12

Yeah I’m not comfortable putting all my information on a spread sheet. The essence of MN is the fact that it’s as anonymous as you want it to be.

Aph413 · 08/05/2018 16:58

I'm out. Bleeding heavily today.
Good luck everyone

Pregnantandpetrifide · 08/05/2018 17:02

Found out I'm pregnant few weeks ago. Am 6w+2 due on 31st dec/ Jan 1st first child am petrified and doing this alone. Was a one night thing and dad isn't interested (condom split, took morning after but baby seems ment to be) am petrified everytime I go to loo incase there is blood but scared of becoming a mum too... My hormones hate me lol xxx

SecretStash · 08/05/2018 17:26

Sorry Aph. Flowers

pregnantandpetrified you’ve come to the right place. You have the same due date as me.
Forums like these are great, especially when you’re going it alone. There’s plenty of people in the same boat. Do you have family near by?

DareToDream89 · 08/05/2018 17:41

Sorry @Aph413 Thanks

I might give my doctors a call in the morning as it will be a week since I went for my referral and not heard anything from midwife team. They were very good last time and called a few days later. I guess I'm just being impatient but until I know my baby is ok safe all I do is worry

Pregnantandpetrifide · 08/05/2018 17:44

No daretodream89 it's just me I have nothing to do with my family so I guess I'll be doing this me myself and I. I'm nearly 29 but man I still feel like a kid myself. Excited but so bloody scared!! Xxx congrats on your little one BTW xxx

DareToDream89 · 08/05/2018 19:56

@Pregnantandpetrifide I'm nearly 29 and married but I'm still petrified. I am happy to support you through out, this page has so many caring people on it I'm sure you will be inundated with support.

Here is you need anything xx

laurs2309 · 08/05/2018 20:16

@Pregnantandpetrifide you'll find lots of support from us all here. Your midwife might be able to put you in touch with others in your situation too so that you have some local support 😊

Pregnantandpetrifide · 08/05/2018 20:37

Thankyou my lovely that means a lot. I turn 29 in 2 weeks lol god this whole pregnancy thing is scary. Have you had many symptoms yet? I'm worried as the only things I've had is that I can't control my emotions very well and extream tiredness. Boobs feel a bit odd and a bit fuller but no morning sickness or anything else. I almost don't feel pregnant. I had to have an early scan yesterday as had a bit of bleeding. Sonographer said everything looked fine but was too early to tell if a viable pregnancy so have to go back next Thursday to make sure. I'm sure it will be ok I just worry that I haven't had many symptoms when others seem to have bad sickness at this stage xxx

Pearcrumble · 08/05/2018 21:07

Hi everyone, I'd like to join pleaseSmile I am around 5 weeks pregnant, with my first if all goes well. I've joined the thread on the antenatal board but thought I'd come over here too.
So sorry for those who have had bad news, or are having a difficult time of it.

helbel42 · 09/05/2018 06:38

So sorry @Aph413 😞 x

helbel42 · 09/05/2018 06:40

Welcome @Pearcrumble and @Pregnantandpetrifide and congratulations! x

helbel42 · 09/05/2018 06:43

6+1 today, very nauseous all day every day now, boobs still sore but think I'm used to it now, the bloat is epic by the evenings!

Bought vit b6 to help with the nausea, anyone tried it or have any other tips? No sickness just feel seasick all day long!

Hope everyone is doing well x

LJFM2B · 09/05/2018 08:51

@Aph413 im so sorry!

@Pregnantandpetrifide I hope you can find a friend or a fmaily member who you can rely on, i also hope the dad is just scared and comes to his senses! but yes use the forum as something to lean on for support. I hope your ok! Also if your honest with your midwife they should offer plenty of support!

@poster Pearcrumble Welcome!

@SecretStash Its not for everybody and it was using MN names not actual names but understand why you wouldnt want to share.

@DareToDream89 chase the doctors all the way, iv had to do it and found that theres been times they just havent done anything or sent a form to the wrong hospital!!

@helbel42 i dont know about b6 but apparently ginger and lemon boiled sweets are supposed to be good, or even just having mints in your bag? ... i havent had any sickness or nausea but my friend had it bad and said she didnt go anywhere with out ginger and lemon boiled sweets and mints.

Jebbs · 09/05/2018 10:35

@helbel42 My mum recommended dry biscuits or something similar to help with the nausea if I get it. I know that ginger ale can be used for nausea too so maybe that could help? (I guess the second is in-line with the ginger and lemon of @LJFM2B

DareToDream89 · 09/05/2018 10:44

Just spoke to my midwife. They are going to see if there is anyway I can get an early scan. I have provisionally booked an appointment with my doctors in case they say no.

Booking appointment is arranged for 25th May!! I will be 8+2 then xx

LJFM2B · 09/05/2018 11:04

@Jebbs Oh yes ginger ale too ... which sounds quite nice right about now!!

@DareToDream89 Fingers crossed that you dont have to wait too long! its all a waiting game which is the uneasy part!! I think they like to do them at 7 weeks so hopefully next week? mines 16th and then first MW app is 18th

DareToDream89 · 09/05/2018 11:22

@LJFM2B fingers crossed.

I'm just about to tell my boss that I'm pregnant as they have to allow me time for my appointments. I've only been here since end of jan so very nervous.

jellyfish2210 · 09/05/2018 11:29

@DareToDream89 hope it goes well telling your boss!

DareToDream89 · 09/05/2018 13:27

@jellyfish2210 it went better than I expected. My boss was over the moon for me and said anything I need just let him know. He knows about my previous miscarriage as well so has told me to take things easy and not stress xx
