Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

haha @NoNoCharlieRascal that made me laugh! I'm expecting to have lots of belly touching so might have to try your technique.

Anyone else feeling nauseous pretty much 24/7? I can't find anything to ease it. Made the mistake of trying watermelon and felt rotten for hours after. Shame as it was yummy and hydrating!

Cariadxx · 30/05/2018 20:42

I'm feeling rather stressed out today purely because I feel completely fine with no symptoms at all (I'm approx 5+2). For reasons I don't want to go into I'm completely paranoid it's all going to go wrong Sad

ohhellojo · 30/05/2018 21:12

I’m on this board and the antenatal Jan 2019 board and I noticed that there are ladies reassuring others that their morning sickness/masses of symptoms is great because you’re essentially less likely to have a mc. Great for reassuring the gals that are crippled with sickness this early on, but pretty worrying advice for people like yourself @cariadxx! Every woman and every pregnancy is different. I had a mc in Dec and felt terrible the entire time I was pregnant, this time I have very few symptoms and I feel great! I’m past the point I lost the last pregnancy so I’m really chuffed! No need to worry yourself AT ALL, it’s just your body doing its thing :)

Cariadxx · 30/05/2018 21:20

Thank you. I know it's really early with me and most people don't get sick until 6 weeks but I was feeling nauseous last weekend and exhausted and now nothing Confused.Sad

Noodles14 · 30/05/2018 21:39

Thanks for your post @ohhellojo. I felt rotten all of last week...sickness, tiredness like I've never felt before, massive food aversions and now this week hardly any symptoms! I had started to convince myself something terrible either has happened or will happen but your post has made me realise that every pregnancy and symptoms are different. Also I'm off work his week so maybe another reason why I'm feeling better! 😊

Englishpetal89 · 30/05/2018 21:40

@Cariadxx I'm the same! I'm 6+0, and I was feeling awful last weekend. Now, my boobs are only slightly sore, I don't feel nauseous and I only have slight cramps. Still shattered though!

Glad to know someone else is having the same!

Cariadxx · 30/05/2018 21:44

I am a bit more reassured. Dh is great and knows I'm super anxious. I'm not someone who suffers with anxiety or other MH issues but my anxiety is specifically around pregnancy and birth and we've waited 18 months for our first ever Bfp. We don't have a lot of luck either in our lives. I'm not going to go and get a reassurance scan privately because from what I see on here they just cause more stress!!

cryptonaut · 30/05/2018 22:01

My symptoms come and go, although the sore boobs is almost constant. MIL said she had no symptoms except sore boobs during her 2 pregnancies. Everyone's different and I read today that actually about 25% of women don't suffer any morning sickness.

I have my booking appointment tomorrow, it seems like time has just dragged while I've been waiting for it! No idea how I'm going to have the patience for another 7 months of waiting to meet the little one.

Cariadxx · 30/05/2018 23:03

I've never had sore boobs in my life....Hmm

Wowthisisreal · 31/05/2018 07:34

@Cariadxx @Englishpetal89 Hi Ladies, just to say I had a complete panic the other day when I had a day of feeling fine. Rest assured the next day my boobs went back to being sure and I needed a nap to get through the day.

I also had a panic because I took a digital dating test and the weeks hadn't progressed from when I had taken one earlier in the week (and according to my dates I should have done). Cue major panic. The next day I took another standard test and the line was so strong i couldn't tell it from the control line and then yesterday I took another digital and the weeks went up!

I came off mumsnet for those few days as honestly you will always read something which strikes fear into your heart! But I just think everyone is different. Honestly I am the 'sickliest' person I know. My go-to symptom of a hangover is to be sick, if I get anxious I feel sick etc. The fact that I didn't find out I was pregnant because I couldn't leave the toilet for a morning astounds me but I am sure it will come!!! (I'm 6 Weeks tomorrow)

Just try to stay calm and relaxed as possible and let your body to its thing x

m4rdybum · 31/05/2018 07:46

One small victory for me this morning - the rich tea biscuits worked and I haven't chucked up yet.

LJFM2B · 31/05/2018 08:23

@Cariadxx @Englishpetal89 agree with what most of the ladies are saying, my symptoms are coming and going ... i had a really restless night because my boobs was not sore at all and i haven't had nausea for a few days but this morning after my shower etc i started feeling a little nauseous and my boobs have a slight pain when i push them from the sides.

Its mad how we all want to basically be in pain or feel like shite for reassurance but all very much in the same boat... for one reason or another were all very anxious at this time whether it be previous MC, bad fertility experience or just scared at the thought of anything going wrong because of everything we read. so dont worry your not alone.

@Wowthisisreal when ever im feeling a little unsure i dont come on MN its almost like your protecting yourself isnt it

Merrz · 31/05/2018 08:31

PumpkinPatch000 yes I feel nauseous all the time, haven't actually been sick but feel awful. The only time I feel kind of ok is when I'm lying down. The thought of eating anything generally makes me feel like I'm going to boak and I only seem to be able to eat something once, on Tuesday I fancied macaroni and it went down quite well but just the thought of it yesterday made me feel sick Sad

Keiki · 31/05/2018 08:33

Finally told OH this morning by giving him a 3+ BFP. All he said was 'really?', then looked panicked and stressed and went all quiet. On the way to work he said we'd need to sell the house. He was blooming on board with this, I can't make one on my own! So now I'm feeling sick from morning/all day sickness, and sick with worry about what is going to happen with us Sad I'm hoping it's just shock as I think after 4 months of nothing happening he thought it wasn't going to.

Miffy201 · 31/05/2018 08:37

@Cariadxx I have the same worries, I thought I was starting to feel nausea etc but those symptoms just disappeared. I've read a lot of posts about people worrying about symptoms disappearing and then everything is fine..that symptoms come and go in early pregnancy. My boobs aren't sore either even though I'm on a tonne of progesterone and estrogen due to my IVF treatment, which can have a side effect of boob tenderness. Everyone just seems to react differently to all these hormones!

Merrz · 31/05/2018 08:48

Keiki it's probably just the shock for your OH. I'm sure when he gets home he'll be excited once it's sank in

RLH18 · 31/05/2018 08:54

Hi, I’ve recently found out I’m 5weeks 5 days and I feel like 💩 the thought of eating literally makes me want to heave but on the other hand I know I need to eat. I usually get ravenous about 5pm then just want to eat all night 🙈

LJFM2B · 31/05/2018 09:08

@Keiki hopefully its shock, maybe get an early scan - once he sees his little human he may feel less panicked and more "wow" xx

OrangeAztec · 31/05/2018 10:28

I'm in the same boat as some of you. Im on progesterone because if previous losses and today I'm 7+5 and have hardly any symptoms. Had an early scan at 6+6 and all was well and that reassured me for about 2 days!

A week ago I had very sore swollen boobs, I was also feeling slightly nauseous on and off. Now my boobs are almost fine and apart from being a tiny bit more tired I'm feeling normal. Although I got a bus home last night and have to get off after ten minutes because I felt so sick but that was the bus I think! I'm very anxious about lack of symptoms. Have another scan at 8+6 and I keep thinking if that one is good I will relax a lot more because I will know the symptoms don't mean anything but I'm swinging from positive to negative all the time.

Cariadxx · 31/05/2018 10:51

@Miffy201 seems I'm not the only one which is great as on here all you hear about are symptoms!!

PumpkinPatch000 · 31/05/2018 10:52

Good Morning ladies,

I have a bit of a random question but how much water are you drinking each day? I’m feeling constantly thirsty and drinking as much as I can but finding it hard due to feeling nauseous 24/7. I’m drinkkng around 2 litres a day.. is that enough?

Cariadxx · 31/05/2018 10:57

@jebbs where is the miscarriage table you mentioned?

LJFM2B · 31/05/2018 11:15

@OrangeAztec im exactly the same, im not on progesterone im on aspirin but after my scan i felt amazing and literally a week after i started doubting myself - now worrying about everything esp my lack of boob pain! my scans next Wednesday - whens yours? fingers crossed tightly for you

@Cariadxx @jebbs id be interested in this page too

Jebbs · 31/05/2018 11:38

@Cariadxx @LJFM2B This is the link I found. I just looked up miscarriage probability online so no idea how good it is, though the survey numbers seem to be relatively ok: datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

Changedmaname · 31/05/2018 12:33

Hi Ladies, just checking in - this thread moves fast!

Jebbs, thanks for sharing that table. I remember looking at something similar in my last pregnancy and it definitely reassured me.

Regarding symptoms - I don't really have any to write home about either, which is worrying me a bit. Last time I had cramping and allsorts. Although I also don't want to tempt fate and now end up with horrific sickness, like last time. You can't win! My nipples have started hurting when I BF my son (joy) so I'm hoping that's a symptom.

Pumpkin - I think just stay as hydrated as you can - two litres a day is plenty though I think. I probably don't drink more than that with no nausea yet, and that's with making a concerted effort to drink enough as I'm still lactating.
Are there any other drinks you can stomach, rather than just plain water? I drank a load of ginger / mint tea in my first pregnancy, when my sickness was at it's peak.

Keiki - I'm sorry for your OH's reaction, that's quite odd and I would have found it upsetting too. I'm sure - as you were actively trying - that it will just be shock and he'll come round when he's had time to digest the news. Men are odd creatures!

I'm still trying to persuade DH on the early scan front but he's not buying it, and I know he's right as we could use the money better elsewhere. 12 week scan feels a million years away right now though!
