Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

Oh and the whole downstairs of my house makes me feel sick for some reason...

sexnotgender · 30/05/2018 08:05

I feel the same @m4rdybum, currently on the bus trying hard not to vom on the nice people beside me.
I usually eat a low carb diet but right now I’m eating whatever doesn’t make me heave.
Really struggling with meat at the moment.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 30/05/2018 08:39

I opened our kitchen bin this morning and the smell was horrendous! Thinking about it now makes me want to vom. Had some weetabix for breakfast which usually sorts the queasiness out for an hour or two. Still feeling a bit yuck though.

Hotdamndiggitydam · 30/05/2018 08:47

My symptoms seem to be all over the place. Yesterday was the worst I’ve felt, I was looking light headed, nauseous, so tired but wierdly my boobs didn’t hurt. I almost cried myself to sleep because I was so scared that the symptom had disappeared. They’re back this morning, though. I seem to be dry heaving all the time, I’ve not managed to throw anything up yet, more than some clear flem, anyway. My excitement seems to be constant fear now. Thinking about getting a private scan in the next couple of weeks. (6 weeks today)

I had a pretty stressful day yesterday. I’m having to move doctors before I can be referred to a midwife as I’ve recently moved and my current doctors (family doctors for 20+ years) refuses point blank to help me out. They actually made me feel like a criminal. Luckily my new doctors reassured me and told me what would happen once I’ve handed in my forms etc, and they seem a lot nicer. It took me 2 months for an appointment to get my implant removed because they just forgot to ring me back at my current surgery 😂. But, I just feel like, for the sake of a referral from somewhere that currently holds my medical files, I’m now left with nobody if something goes wrong before I get fully registered with the new doctor. I have an irrational fear of the doctors. Someone who can tell me I’m going to die is not someone I like, so yesterday want fun having to deal with two lots of them haha.

LJFM2B · 30/05/2018 08:55

I am worried i dont feel as sick as alot of you do!!

Why is it all such a blooming worry!!!!!!

@Hotdamndiggitydam doctors surgery's are so hit and miss, i cant wait to move so i can hopefully go to a surgery that answers the phone!! my doctors dont even see you if your pregnant its a self referral form to local hospital and thats it!

Q: A little TMI but is anybody getting alot of wet discharge???Blush
xxx

Hotdamndiggitydam · 30/05/2018 09:05

@LJFM2B I’m hoping it’s just this one that has given me a bad impression of doctors. I once was prescribed moisturing cream when my face swelled from an allergic reaction. I couldn’t see my eyes were so swollen, it took 3 appointments on the same day to get prescribed steroids so fingers crossed it can’t get much worse.

About the discharge, yes. 100%. I feel like my period has started it’s so moist down there sometimes.

socksonradiator · 30/05/2018 09:40

Thank you for the warm welcomes Smile It's also good to know I'm not the only one with a big sibling age gap @sexnotgender

Wow, so many of you are suffering with early symptoms Shock I really feel for you because it makes everything in day-to-day life feel 100x harder!
I have no symptoms whatsoever atm but I don't think I did this early on with my other pregnancies; I'm sure my time will come!

Reading through this thread is helping me get my head around what is coming and what I need to be thinking about and doing.

I'm going to look into what early scans and tests are available near me today as I'm a geriatric mother (ShockShockoffensive!) and when I was last pregnant, I think there was only the nuchal fold scan!

Keep nibbling and sipping, little and often ladies X

LJFM2B · 30/05/2018 09:51

@Hotdamndiggitydam phew - thanks for sharing, this morning i speed walked from the station to my office to check what was happening down there ... to my relief it was just liquid but i was worried for a bit!

Bring on the scans for everybody so our minds can be put at ease a little :)

LJFM2B · 30/05/2018 09:52

@socksonradiator little and often is what im finding works for me at the moment! nice to get advice from somebody who has been there and had successful pregnancies :)

pixienewbie · 30/05/2018 10:00

Hi all, new here but been watching with interest! We found out we’re pregnant at the weekend and not told anyone yet- likely due towards the end of January. Just made first booking appointment with the midwife and the only time of day they can do is 2.45pm. My work is pretty gossipy when it comes to pregnancy so don’t really know what to do about getting time off- fake dentist app, ‘sick’ day?? I’m a teacher so annual leave isn’t an option. Any advice would be appreciated. xx

Changedmaname · 30/05/2018 10:31

pixienewbie you should REALLY be able to tell your manager / head an expect them to keep it completely confidential, that's a pretty unprofessional workplace if that's not the case. You're entitled to time off for antenatal appointments, you shouldn't feel the need to fake anything or take time off sick.
I had to tell my manager at less than 5 weeks because I work with very hazardous chemicals and obviously needed to stop as soon as I found out. It's horrible telling so early but it means you get the protection you need and time off you are entitled to.

loopdeelou · 30/05/2018 10:34

@pixienewbie I would fake a dentist appointment and then say they couldn't fix the tooth there and then and you'll have to go back for another appointment. Might need a lie which is going to involve appointments!

Changedmaname · 30/05/2018 10:35

Out of interest, are there any ladies on her who are pregnant and still breastfeeding an existing DC?

I'm so sorry for all of you suffering with the sickness. I remember it from last time and I'm absolutely dreading it starting again. I hope it's short lived in each and every case here, as it's bloody debilitating.

I'm starting with the v.sensitive sense of smell and I feel peculiar if I don't remember to eat little or often.
I'm also SO bloated! I already look pregnant! I know it's not baby, and probably partly due to my rubbish tummy muscles after my last pregnancy, but it's quite weird so early on. Anyone else?

moonlight1705 · 30/05/2018 10:42

Just found out that I am 4 weeks Grin I think I'm due on 31st January so just about fit into this thread. I am a little surprised as I got pregnant in the 3rd cycle - not too bad considering I have a BMI of 44 and thought I would have more time to lose weight beforehand.

I've had no symptoms yet and keep wondering if that is normal but obviously it affects different people in different ways.

I'm on levothyroxine so have had to get my prescription upped for the time being. At least the Doctor listened to me this time and didn't fob me off.

LJFM2B · 30/05/2018 10:44

@Changedmaname This is DC1 but 4th pregnancy (3x MC) im not sure if that would effect the bloating or anything but i do feel very bloated and yes i look a little pregnant! my DH is loving seeing a bump but iv tried to explain its not actually baby yet haha. im 8+4 so no way is it the little raspberry!

LJFM2B · 30/05/2018 10:46

Welcome to all newbies!!!!! :)

@Changedmaname im a size 8 but i am in no way a gym bunny so stomach muscles are probably terrible - this is most likely why im looking pregnant so early Confused

pixienewbie · 30/05/2018 13:08

Thanks for your thoughts @loopdeelou and @Changedmaname

bakingdemon · 30/05/2018 13:23

Popped into the doctor at about 4 weeks and started to worry that I hadn't heard anything about further appointments - five phone calls later and it turns out she didn't do the referral to the antenatal clinic for some reason no one can explainHmm. So am not completely filled with confidence about the rest of the process...

Anyone else really enjoying it just being them and their partner knowing at this stage? I almost don't want to tell anyone because I don't like being fussed over and I'm dreading my DM and MIL constantly asking how I am and wanting updates on every little thing. I just know that's what they'll be like (neither has GC yet).

LoveAlwaysx · 30/05/2018 14:20

Congratulations all! I’m due the 17th January with my second child.

My first will be 2 on the 6th January so gunna be an expensive time of the year haha!

I’ve been having pains in my right shoulder/arm but went to the hospital yesterday and the last who scanned me says she happy with my pregnancy so far, so glad to wasn’t an ectopic!

I’m 6 weeks by the way😁

Babit5485 · 30/05/2018 14:47

@bakingdemon I feel the same! Almost don't want the attention really. My DM and MIL will be the same - so well intentioned but too much! It was the same when we were getting married - couldn't talk about anything else! I don't want that again. I think it will become public property somehow and I'm just not ready for that yet.... 🙄 x

AnguaUberwaldIronfoundersson · 30/05/2018 16:56

Please can I join... Smile

After a barrage of tests and basically being told that it would take a looooooooong time for us, we decided to leave it a year and I started on a VLCD diet last week as I have a LOT of weight to lose. Did three tests to make sure I was not pregnant before I started.

Felt a bit off yesterday, period mega late (but not unusual) plus other things not quite right and did a cheapo test. BAM! Within seconds I got that line. Had a spare digital around and got 3+ Weeks straight away. Calendar says nearly 6 weeks! 5 tests later it is confirmed.

Shouted DH in a total panic and he looked like his world had ended, bless him! I cried, he stressed, the cats didn't give a fuck.

I AM PETRIFIED! Never had a BFP before, Every time I go to the loo I worry it's gonna be over.

So end of Jan 2019 for me Shock

bakingdemon · 30/05/2018 17:10

@Babit5485 yes! Being public property, that's it. I am not looking forward to that at all.

sexnotgender · 30/05/2018 17:29

I’ve made it very clear that NO ONE is to touch me without my permission. I hated being pawed last time I was pregnant 😡

NoNoCharlieRascal · 30/05/2018 18:28

@sexnotgender urgh it's horrid isn't it. Last time I found a great way to stop it, I honked a touchers boob Grin 'sorry I thought we were all grabbing body parts'

sexnotgender · 30/05/2018 19:42

Good technique! I hate people touching me at the best of times.

I know MIL is going to be handsy and much as I love her I really need to set some boundaries.
