Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

@Miffy201 congrats! IVF is so tough, I can't imagine what you've been through. Do they do early scans etc for ivf babies for that reason? Xxx

Cariadxx · 28/05/2018 17:05

@jennytot84 it's purely because twins run in my family so I'm paranoid!!
I am normally full of energy but totally exhausted especially around 2pm each day.

@Miffy201 congrats! my best friend is about to undergo her 4th and final ivf cycle... others all failed. I don't know how to tell her I'm pregnant without breaking her heart of it fails again. Any ideas from your perspective?

Miffy201 · 28/05/2018 17:29

@jennytot84 Thanks, you too! We are nearly due date buddies. I have an early scan next week, I'm just keeping everything crossed!

@Cariadxx I really hope it works out for your best friend this time around, it is such an exhausting process.. when is she starting her cycle? It's a tough one, I generally feel ok when my friends get pregnant as quite a few of my friends have needed ivf too.. so it really depends on the person. Did she know you were trying?

ladydanger · 28/05/2018 17:36

Hi everyone! Just found out I'm 4 weeks, due 30th. No symptoms as yet but missed period so took the test and here we are! It's my first and completely clueless so hoping you lovely lot will be able to help me out... :)

bridiep · 28/05/2018 17:56

Hi so glad to see this group I found out I'm expecting my first a couple of weeks ago, due date 14th Jan. So nervous and don't know if symptoms are good signs or bad signs! Trying to relax and enjoy it all! X

byanyothernamerose · 28/05/2018 18:32

@socktastic I am so sorry for all that you must be going through..I am just under 5 weeks and understand your anxiety...thinking of you...Thanks

cryptonaut · 28/05/2018 18:35

@bridiep we're due date buddies according to my apps :) originally thought I was due 20th (from natural cycles) but all other calculators and apps say 14th based on last AF.
I've had a few symptoms, cramping and sore/pointy nipples was first, now the cramps are easing a bit and breasts getting very sore. Only had a couple of bouts of nausea so far, but no sickness.

We told my dad last night, he was over the moon :) and we told the in-laws today. MIL was almost in tears.

Got my booking appointment on Thursday, looking forward to it. And time is really going slow, can't wait until we have a scan.

Littlet07 · 28/05/2018 19:13

Hi congratulations ladies I found out last Monday that me and my husband are pregnant confirmed by the doctor's on the Tuesday 😁 ekk I'm so excited I only can off the pill the 18th April and I had what I think was a period starting the 9th may but I guess could of been a withdrawal bleed as I'm shocked I had a positive test result so early on. So I have no idea how many week pregnant I am it could be 6 good be 3 🙈 can anyone help with this???

Paris1986 · 28/05/2018 19:28

Congratulations @Littlet07! Hoping to get a doctor's appointment tomorrow but until then all the online info I can find says you can calculate due date/how far along you are using the first day of your last period. Does that help? I'm due on 16th and it says I'm 6+5 today, which I find odd as I know we conceived on 8th or 9th May so I'm no way almost 7 weeks but... (can anyone else help us both!?)

rainylake · 28/05/2018 19:34

@Miffy201 I'm another IVF pregnancy also waiting a bit nervously for my early scan in 2 weeks time. It is hard not to worry about a miscarriage, but I'm trying to stay positive and looking at the statistics, once we've got to the stage of getting a bfp, the odds are in our favour of having a successful pregnancy.

Btw I don't have any symptoms either (I'm about a week behind you), but I didn't have any with my previous pregnancy (natural conception not ivf) and went to the 12 week scan really worried that they'd accuse me of making the entire thing up as I'd felt completely normal the entire time, and the baby turned out to be completely healthy, so I wouldn't worry just because of that.

bridiep · 28/05/2018 19:34

@cryptonaut aw Yey! All the same kind of stuff with me aswell, my mum and dad v excited but in abit of shock aswell! Is this your first? I'm also feeling time is going so slow! Counting the days until I have my scan and it all feels more real! Xxx

Changedmaname · 28/05/2018 19:37

Hello! Can I join in? I am five weeks pregnant, due end of January. Second child. I'm still in regular touch with a lovely group of ladies I met on my last MN Bus when pregnant with my DC1, so would love to be part of another! I need to catch up...

KimBeau · 28/05/2018 19:44

Hi all. Sadly our baby didn't make it. The sac measures 8w 3d but the baby only 6w something, and no heartbeat. They don't know why; but it looks like the sac may have ruptured so it could be to do with that.

I have to go to A&E or my early pregnancy unit, so I'm choosing to call the EPU tomorrow morning rather than sit in A&E for hours on a bank holiday.

Just trying to be matter of fact about this; no reason for us to have issues in the future, hopefully one of those things. We're very upset but trying to feel hopeful for the future. We're glad we had an early scan and know now rather than in 3-4 weeks.

Wishing you all the best! Please don't worry because of our news xxx

helloooomeee · 28/05/2018 19:45

Hi, I'm tentatively joining you. Dp and I found out last week that we're expecting. I'm now 5 +4 with edd 24th January.

This is my 5th pregnancy but first 2 miscarried at 10 weeks and 6 weeks. I currently have no symptoms beside some mild cramping and I'm scared in case we lose this one too Sad.

Babit5485 · 28/05/2018 20:38

@KimBeau so sorry to hear that. Sounds like you have exactly the right approach to it though. The great news is that you can conceive and you will again. Fingers crossed that you'll be back on the bus very soon xxx

Miffy201 · 28/05/2018 20:40

@rainylake Thank you for reassuring me! I think my hcg levels are low as my bt level was 209 at 13dp5dt, which may be why I'm not feeling much at the moment. My main worry was that I did the clearblue digital yesterday and I was still only at 2-3 weeks which makes me feel my levels aren't rising as they should be..they really should have been up to 3+ by now. I'm trying to stay calm and remember 15% of people don't follow the 48-72 hr doubling trend! Did you have 1 transfer or 2? I only had 1 xx

cryptonaut · 28/05/2018 20:57

@bridiep yes this my first. My brother has 4 kids already so it's a bit different for my family, but this will be the in-laws first grandchild. They're so excited.

Is this your first too?

byanyothernamerose · 28/05/2018 21:04

@KimBeau I am so so sorry for you and your partner...wishing you both lots of love and baby dust..

bakingdemon · 28/05/2018 21:43

@Paris1986 I think the NHS due date calculator works on a standard 28 day cycle - I'm also pretty sure I know when I conceived and thought it wasn't quite accurate. Just longing to have the scan so I can get a more accurate due date!

rainylake · 28/05/2018 21:48

@KimBeau so sorry to hear this. Must be hugely upsetting even if there’s every chance that you’ll have better luck in the future.

@Miffy201 I had one transferred as I did a fair bit of reading about the risks of ivf multiples and didn’t want to risk it. Also it’s a bit different for me than for some ladies going through ivf as I do already have a child so it’s less all or nothing (and I think she would find suddenly coping with twins pretty tough). And given I’ve had a positive test I’m definitely pleased with having made that decision! I do have 4 frozen embryos though so that does help make me feel less anxious about this one.

Changedmaname · 28/05/2018 22:08

I'm so sorry Kim. Flowers

Kocerhan3 · 29/05/2018 06:20

@PumpkinPatch000 wow our situations are identical, wishing you the best - the scan sounds extremely positive!! I'm booked in for one in a couple weeks (left it until 8) so so so excited.

My symptoms seem to be much less this time round, barely anything! Breasts have grown but aren't sore, no sickness/nausea... someone mentioned that some women carry different sexes differently so could be that !! I loved that explanation tbh :)

bridiep · 29/05/2018 06:38

@cryptonaut yes my first! Think that's why I daren't believe it's true until I see the scan! All very exciting though Xxx

Paris1986 · 29/05/2018 06:56

That makes sense @bakingdemon! Hopefully won’t have to wait too long before I have something more definite!

PumpkinPatch000 · 29/05/2018 07:46

@KimBeau so sorry to hear this news. If you need any support the ladies on the boards are brilliant. I went through it in Feb and they really helped me. Sending love.

@Kocerhan3 thank you! Just taking each day as it comes at the moment. Yes, it’s the best news we could have wished for, It hadn’t crossed my mind they would find a heartbeat so early so we were very happy about that. It’s re-assuring.

That’s so lovely you have a scan in a couple of weeks and will see your little bean! Let me know how you get on!

Absolutely, every pregnancy is different and can differ again due to the sex so I don’t think there is really a ‘normal’ when it comes to what symptoms you should or shouldn’t have.
