Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

@MrsH1990 we are due date twins! Good luck with the scan today- it sounds like you managed to book it in quickly?! I haven't had any contract with the midwife at my Dr's surgery yet...thought I would have heard about my booking appointment by now. Have you?

SparklingNarwhal · 26/05/2018 09:25

Hey! I'll add here, due 18th to 24th depending on who you ask.
So it's 6 weeks last Friday. It's nausea, tiredness, and last week cramping with a tad of spotting which was terrifying but then everything went back to normal? Normal as is more nausea and more tiredness. Also had food advisions, I can smelled out fortified foods, tell you when the milk is on the turn ( but still good since everyone else cant taste the difference) and turn my nose to any processed foods and randomly dislike walnuts sometimes. And the hunger OMG yesterday it wouldn't stop! I literally eating all day!!!! And if I stopped the hunger/nausea duo kicked in.

This is our first, we were trying and it happened rather quick. I'm excited but nervous about complications or miscarriages since I'm a pessimist.

Hi ladies! My Glow app tells me I’m due 23rd January.

Absolutely amazed because if I could have picked a month for my baby to be born, it would have been January. Apparently I’m 5 weeks and 3 days.

I’ve been feeling nauseous from the very beginning, and had sore boobs that seem to get worse throughout the day.

I just knew this was the month. Got my faint positives last Saturday and my digital 2-3 weeks on Wednesday.

Feeling a bit weird about how not weird this feels, I think it’s proving to be the perfect time for us... which also makes me anxious about what could happen. I’m a checker every time I wipe. Sometimes I just go to the toilet for a wipe 🤦🏻‍♀️

MrsH1990 · 26/05/2018 11:11

Hi guys went for an early (private paid) scan today doesn't look good, I'm going back next week for her to check.
Baby is measuring less than 6 Weeks, very subtle heartbeat. There is visible amnion but she said this isn't always a good sign.
She wanted us to go back in 2 weeks but we go on holiday then so asked us back for a week. She was really nice but said don't get hopes up 💔 considering We didn't plan this I didn't realise how much I wanted it until now! 😩😅 i just can't stop crying xxx

Babit5485 · 26/05/2018 12:50

@MrsH1990 sorry to hear that! Have everything crossed for you xx

@Hotdamndiggitydam that made me lol about the wipe hahaha. Why would you pick Jan, out of interest?

X

MrsH1990 · 26/05/2018 13:13

@Babit5485 thank you xxx

Hotdamndiggitydam · 26/05/2018 13:14

So sorry to hear that @mrsh1990 fingers crossed for you.

@babit5485 haha I swear it must have been 15 times I’ve examined toilet paper today. Completely selfish reasons, our family birthdays seem to clump together so spring, summer and Autumn have multiple birthdays so I wanted a quiet time. And I’m obsessed with tiny snow and pram suits haha. But, now from looking into it it looks like it could be good for school reasons too, so they’re not too advanced and not the youngest and struggle. Not that I believe that, I’m an August baby with a degree and a good job, but it still feels like a little win Smile

rainylake · 26/05/2018 13:59

@MrsH1990 so sorry to hear this. How awful for you. Really hoping that news at the next scan is better than you fear.

socktastic · 26/05/2018 14:09

@MrsH1990 so sorry to hear that news. If you have normally long cycles, that can affect size of baby too. I'm keeping everything crossed for you xx

rainylake · 26/05/2018 14:17

@socktastic nice to meet a due date twin! I don't really have symptoms so far other than slightly sore boobs and being really hungry, but my last pregnancy was like that too, so hoping to be equally lucky this time round.

socktastic · 26/05/2018 14:38

Similar to last pregnancy here too. Boobs tender and having the weirdest of dreams. The nausea didn't start till week 7 and lasted till about week 15! Not looking forward so much to that but could stand to lose a few pounds at least! How old is your other child?

rainylake · 26/05/2018 14:44

@socktastic my daughter is 3.5 so she will be just over 4 when the new one is born if all goes well. In an ideal world I'd have preferred a slightly smaller gap but I expect there advantages to her being a bit more independent when I'm dealing with a new born. I remember the dream thing last time (for me not so much weird, and actually very banal, but incredibly vivid) but that hasn't started yet.

Cloud9889 · 26/05/2018 17:32

I've done a pregnancy test digital clewrblue and it's now saying not pregnant - yesterday at 5pm it said pregnant 1-2. Still getting a faint line on IC but had a nice clear line on IC this morning. I don't know what to think?

rainylake · 26/05/2018 18:04

@Cloud1989 if you did a test first thing this morning the urine sample would have been more concentrated and so easier to detect the hormone. If you had drunk a lot of water or gone to the toilet say only a couple of hours before testing that could dilute the hormone in the sample. So that could explain why this morning was a clear line and this afternoon darker. If there was a variation between how long you waited to go the toilet and how much water you drank that could also explain the difference between the clearblue tests.

sexnotgender · 26/05/2018 18:15

I don't think the clear blue tests are super sensitive so need a higher concentration of hormones to get a positive result. Test first thing tomorrow morning and see how you get on.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 26/05/2018 18:48

The clear blue tests with indicator are crap!! They have caused me soooo much unessecary worry over the last couple of weeks. They had me at 1-2 when I should’ve been at 2-3. I had an early scan yesterday and am around 7+4 with a strong heartbeat.

sexnotgender · 26/05/2018 18:52

I found them really accurate! However they segment the weeks indicator based on hormone level bands and if you don't fall within that band whilst everything might be fine you're not going to get the result you should.

Cloud9889 · 26/05/2018 19:14

So less than 2 hours later I’ve got pregnant 1-2 on a same brand digi so strange !

Cloud9889 · 26/05/2018 19:14

I don’t think I’m gonna do anymore digis

socktastic · 26/05/2018 19:21

I stay clear of digis. Your line has to be a certain intensity for the digi to read it so even if there us one (and we all know it doesn't matter how faint it is) it might not be strong enough for the digi to read and so will say not pregnant

socktastic · 26/05/2018 19:22

And usually they date from conception not from last period so you have to add 2 weeks

Paris1986 · 26/05/2018 21:17

Hi everyone! I literally found out I’m pregnant about 2 hours ago so still in shock... We’ve been TTC about 6 months and noticed I was about 4 days late so took a test (this evening, couldn’t wait until the morning Blush) and it came up as a very strong positive in seconds. Was so surprised as aside from being late don’t have any symptoms... anyway according to various online calculators I’m 6+3, and due on 16th Jan. Obviously not told anyone yet, hoping to get a doctors appointment on Tuesday to confirm it, but in the meantime just had to share our news with someone!!

socktastic · 26/05/2018 21:24

Aw congrats @paris1986 welcome to the club!

Paris1986 · 26/05/2018 21:50

Thank you @socktastic Grin congratulations to you and everyone else who's had BFPs recently!

Englishpetal89 · 27/05/2018 09:06

How early are people planning to buy things (assuming this is your first; if not, how early did you buy things)? I've spotted a cot in a charity shop, good condition and meets safety regulations for £10, but feel like it's too early to buy it (I'm 5+4)!
