Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

@m4rdybum its all a worry isnt it! nobodies text book and no 2 pregnancies are the same ... so you only compare to what you read or what people tell you and if your not like them you feel like your not doing it right but im sure MW will reassure you.

LJFM2B · 22/05/2018 12:58

Anybody else due 5th jan?

littleemma1 · 22/05/2018 14:10

Can anyone please suggest how to keep my eyes open? 😂😩

Liland · 22/05/2018 14:31

littleemma1 I feel your pain. I work from home, and the least two days I've not even managed to stay awake while working, much less in the evening!

littleemma1 · 22/05/2018 14:44

I work 7-7 and do random shift days. I’m in for one day today then back off for two but then I’m in Friday, Saturday, Sunday which is gonna be a killller 😴😩

This is going to sound silly, but is anyone experiencing sleep walking? DH is currently away on a business trip, so I'm on my own.

The other night I fell asleep reading one of my pregnancy books, it's heavy so I took one of DH pillows to rest the book on, I woke up in the morning with the book closed and put nicely on the other side of the bed, both pillows on top of it and the light off.

Last night I had the window open as I was hot, I'd put it on the first catch. When I woke up this morning it was wide open, so much so that I almost couldn't reach to close it, it's not easy to open that far either as there are 2 buttons that need to be pushed at the same time to release the window and they both stick.

I have no recollection of doing either of these things, in fact I feel like I'm sleeping right through the night for the first time in years, and have now convinced myself that I must be sleep walking lol

Hi all, jumping in this thread.

5 weeks today and first time around, due 22 Jan 2019. Done about 5 pregnancy tests as just can't quite believe it. Definitely having sore boobs, fatigue and mine seems to be afternoon queasiness, but thankfully no actual vomit.

Keeping everything crossed and rather nervous but trying to relax and enjoy it too.

sexnotgender · 22/05/2018 15:19

Hi @raffat89, welcome! I’m due the same day. Also can’t believe it, don’t ‘feel’ pregnant.

sexnotgender · 22/05/2018 15:28

I’m with you on the afternoon queasiness, fine in the morning- touch wood!

littleemma1 · 22/05/2018 16:05

@sexnotgender nope mine is first thing, if I don’t eat then I’m knocked for 6 ill 😷

littleemma1 · 22/05/2018 16:06

@raffat89 I did 10 and then made the doctor do an extra one and still don’t quite believe it 😂🤣

Wowthisisreal · 22/05/2018 16:07

Hey can I join? Congrats everyone! According to all the calculators I am due 25th Jan! Found out on Saturday 😊

Feel good apart from super tired and peeing like a trooper 😂

bakingdemon · 22/05/2018 16:09

I am knackered yet I am waking up at 6am every day - combination of lighter mornings and my bladder feeling the size of a pea!

My skin has also got worse - I went on the pill first for my skin and obviously have been off it for a few months now. Anyone have any thoughts on how to tackle this, or found the same thing?

sailing123 · 22/05/2018 16:56

hi lovely ladies,
Im 8+3 roughly today - I found out I was pregnant very early on so the wait for the 12 weeks to be here is taking forever! anyway for the last 3+ weeks or so i have been nauseous all day and really felt pregnant. But since about Friday, so the last 5 days or so my symptoms have all gone - i feel really tired still but no cramping, no nausea and no tender boobs anymore. I haven'y had any bleeding of any sort and am just quite worried something might have happened?! or is it normal for symptoms to come and go? this is my first pregnancy (and was a total surprise...!).
thanks so much for your help xxx

MrsH1990 · 22/05/2018 18:20

Hi everyone me & DH went to my first midwife appointment today! Starting to feel real she's EDD for 8th Jan. Won't be able to get scan until 12 weeks around 25 June she said.
Just wondering if any of you have paid for an early scan and how "early" was you? This is our first & we are really considering getting an early scan to make sure everything okay. Especially as we fly out to Vegas in 2 weeks Xxx

Wowthisisreal · 22/05/2018 18:27

@MrsH1990 DH is keen to get an early scan and was looking at getting one for 6 weeks. I'm concerned that will be too early (still a long way to go till 12 weeks) so I am thinking we will probably wait until 8 weeks if we do get one. It seems so long to wait!!

MrsH1990 · 22/05/2018 19:11

@Wowthisisreal yes we may wait till weekend or next week.
The prices in different places near where I live are fluctuating between £40 & £79 🙈 Reckon it matters where I go? Let me no how you get on love xxx

m4rdybum · 22/05/2018 19:31

I considered it but then decided against it, because nothing is set in stone and I didn't want the additional sing that I had paid for false reassurance if things go wrong.

But - can understand how they help some people.

(& to be honest, I live in a constant state of worry and may have just done a random test to make sure I'm still pregnant) Confused

socktastic · 22/05/2018 19:51

@MrsH1990 we did a reassurance scan with my wee boy at 9 weeks. Only reason being id had a bleed and just wanted checked out. I think it was about 80 quid.

I doubt I'll be doing one this time round though as it was quite far away.

My symptoms so far are just sore, pinchy boobs, tiredness and less appetite.

I think I'm still terrified it's just a chemical preg tho at this point as my tests have been quite inconsistent. All have said positive (except the internet cheapies) but with different intensities of lines. But then I've used first response, Sainsbury's and clear blue so I guess I shouldn't really expect much if I'm chopping and changing quite so much.

Booked mw appointment for 18th june. It seems sooooo far away!

socktastic · 22/05/2018 19:53

Also we were made very aware of the fact that the private places do not have counselling services available so if the worst does happen, you're sent packing.

We had an mmc discovered at 12 week scan and the staff at the hospital were wonderful on the counselling side. They gave us a room and as much time as we needed.

sexnotgender · 22/05/2018 20:34

I tested today too m4rdybum I don’t ‘feel’ pregnant and I know I’m being stupid but I tested anyway!!
Used a clear blue digital and got a 3week+ which is bang in line with my dates. As I’m 5weeks today.

MrsH1990 · 22/05/2018 21:06

Thank you @socktastic xxx

KimBeau · 22/05/2018 21:12

Hi @MrsH1990, I've booked an early scan for 8+5 and according to the info I read anything from 7 weeks is fine, although it might be an internal examination. This is with Window in the Womb. A friend of mine also recommended ultrasound-direct.com. Hope that helps!

Firsttimemum1829 · 22/05/2018 21:19

Hi everyone, jumping on this too. I am 7 weeks (ish) and it’s our first, I am 36yrs and overweight so have those additional worries. We have our booking appointment next week. I am so nervous and can’t wait to get to 12 weeks, and hopefully be told all is ok, trying not to get too excited just in case. Not been too bad with sickness have felt sick a couple of times, but it’s more tiredness, sore boobs and the odd bit of cramping. Hope everyone else is doing good. X

MrsH1990 · 22/05/2018 21:33

Thank you @KimBeau there's a place near me that does it 45 and is meant to be brilliant, they do offer the internal exam if can't find anything on the ultrasound. Xxx
Congratulations @Firsttimemum1829 can't wait for the 12 weeks scan too! I'll be a first time mum and even though I'm 28 this year, I am overweight too so have these added worry xxx you're not alone xxx
