Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

@m4rdybum second that! I’m so ready for another long weekend of sleep!

LJFM2B · 21/05/2018 14:35

Im clock watching until i can go home and finally fall asleep ... anybody else fighting it and falling asleep on the sofa at 8.30 every evening?

@KimBeau welcome, i think theres alot of first time mums on here too ... xx

littleemma1 · 21/05/2018 14:47

Hi all, hope I can join!! Just found out yesterday that I’m expecting baby number 1 after thinking it was going to be rather difficult without some assistance as I have PCOS. 10 HPT’s later and 1 doctors test (just to be sure 😂) we’re more than happy but trying to stay grounded as it’s very early days and it seems to good to be true!
Been to docs this morning and they sent me to the midwife this afternoon, looks like I’m 4+5 so really still a tiny beanie!!
Not any huge symptoms so far, I don’t even know what prompted me to do the test, I feel slightly sick and sore boobs but that’s it. Looking forward to this journey but I’ve also never felt fear like it!! Xx

DareToDream89 · 21/05/2018 15:19

@LJFM2B I'm lucky if I make it to 8:30 haha 😂

jellyfish2210 · 21/05/2018 15:50

I have been struggling to make it to 8:30 too! Over the weekend I was meant to be studying and ended up sleeping all afternoon both days and even then still slept all night. I am waking through the night to pee which is driving me mental, tried cutting down fluid after 8pm but still getting up to pee!!

Had my booking appointment today (8 weeks tomorrow) and apparently I might have to wait until 14 weeks before I get my first scan as they are really busy here. Supposed to be between 10-13. Has been the longest 4 week wait to get to 8 weeks and now it might be another 6 before we get to see/hear anything!! 😢

sexnotgender · 21/05/2018 15:59

Another sleepyhead here!
Slept so badly last night and now I’m shattered.

m4rdybum · 21/05/2018 16:59

Oh no @jellyfish2210 - it's gone a be such a long wait!

I've just had a call from my midwife cancelling my booking appointment. She can get me in a week earlier so to fully be able to book something soon. It's just gonna mean a longer wait between booking appt and scan though!

Noodles14 · 21/05/2018 18:19

Hi all. So when have people got their booking appointments booked in for (how many weeks)?! I'm 7 weeks tomorrow, handed my form into the doctors' surgery 2 weeks ago but haven't heard anything from the midwife yet. Hmm Seems like such a long wait until the 12 weeks scan...and even the booking appointment at this rate! So tired today...have had to just slump on the sofa as soon as I got home. 💤

sexnotgender · 21/05/2018 18:55

I can't decide whether to phone my doctor or not.

I'm moving house in about 3 or 4 weeks so might wait as I'll be in a different area.

But that would take me to 8/9 weeks and I wouldn't have seen anyone... is that ok?

socktastic · 21/05/2018 20:10

I've not even phoned my surgery yet to arrange midwife appt. Last time I was right down there at 4 weeks! Suppose I should put it on my to do list.

I have an almost 2 year old and already panicking over how I'm going to manage a newborn and a toddler going through the terrible two's (although he seemed to start his tantrums very early so might stop them early too? Fingers crossed!)

NoNoCharlieRascal · 21/05/2018 20:23

@socktastic ds will be 19 months when I'm due and I am also having a bit of a wobble of how I will cope with them both! Well that and twins run in the family so I'm panicking until the scan Grin

My theory is biscuits, cebeebies and lots of time in the park/soft play!

socktastic · 21/05/2018 20:26

@NoNoCharlieRascal is that for us or them?

NoNoCharlieRascal · 21/05/2018 20:47

Ha ha ha, I would say both! Although I'm not sure Cebeebies is all that good for the children, I have a suspicion all the presenters are on magic mushrooms.

Bribery! Bribery works at 19 months, right? Grin

Ozzyseb · 21/05/2018 21:19

Ladies! How did/do you cope with your first trimesters? I'm literally a nervous wreck about every twinge, cramp etc and to add I'm incredibly tired but my mind races at night with worries 😩 Or do we just take every day as it comes? Just feels so long to 12 weeks and I'm only 5! Hope you're all doing ok today! X

peaches1991 · 21/05/2018 21:24

@Noodles14 mine is this week, I'll be 7+3 - it was meant to be a week later but I'm going to be away. Maybe call them up to chase?

NoNoCharlieRascal · 21/05/2018 21:33

@Ozzyseb just take each day. And do not google for your own sanity! Twinges, stretching, aches and cramps are all normal. Personally I find the first 4-6 weeks hard, then time kinda kicks in. You'll have your booking in to count down to and then your first scan. It splits the wait up a little.

In my first pregnancy I had an Ovia app which gave weekly info which was nice to look forward to. It would compare baby to a food/animal/object to give an idea on size and little bitesize chunks of info for that week.

Englishpetal89 · 21/05/2018 22:36

@Ozzyseb I'm in the same boat! I'm 4+5 and everything aches, I feel alternately nauseous and ravenous, so so tired and my breasts are SOoo sore they hurt when I wake up because I've laid on them!

Chelle13 · 21/05/2018 23:30

Hi ladies have had really bad diarrhoea (stmi),just wondered if anyone else has im 7 weeks....i think possibly further n my 5th pregmancy but still unsure.never had this before.i cant stop being sick if i smell bacon or mince being cooked too lol x

Ozzyseb · 22/05/2018 07:56

Thank you @nonocharlierascal I guess because it's all new to me I don't know what to expect and what's normal (if there is even a normal!) so of the pains can be quite bad but they only last a few seconds and they feel like gas pains (sorry if tmi!) the others feel like twinges and sharp stabs there's no area it happens more or less just everywhere every now and again. Doctor has said if there's no bleeding then not to worry 🤷‍♀️ I wish I had asked sooner because google has already become my horrible friend and I'm now petrified of an ectopic!

@chelle13 I haven't got diarrhoea but I do have loose bowel I think it's my Ibs flaring up from hormones etc 😒

Liland · 22/05/2018 08:32

I'm jumping on this group too :) Due roughly 31 January 2019, currently 3+5. This is my first ever pregnancy, took 5 months ttc.

Ozzyseb · 22/05/2018 09:01

Hey @liland big congratulations! 😀

Liland · 22/05/2018 09:03

Thanks. It's really early so I'm trying not to get too excited just yet...

LJFM2B · 22/05/2018 09:43

@ozzyseb i think we all feel the same, first time mums especially but i think reading what everybody had to say even second/third/fourth time mums seem to worry these first few weeks of knowing, its like time slows down isnt it. Take each day as it comes, stay off google, and any worries and concerns call MW or Dr.

@chelle13 would bad tummy be nerves? i think everyone is different - some say they have terrible constipation and some go the other way. Either way its not glamorous but all worth it.

I had my booking ap with MW who was LOVELY .

I promised myself i wouldnt get carried way this time but i have countdown app for all my appointments and my due date, iv even signed myself up for hypno birthing classes Confused I CANT HELP IT IM SO EXCITED SINCE MY SCAN regardless of my history - am i being silly?

littleemma1 · 22/05/2018 10:20

@Ozzyseb and @Englishpetal89 I’m the same!! I’m slightly queasy and so hungry at the same time with slightly (coming and going!) sore boobs/nipples!
I am terrified as well but I’m going with “what will be, will be, and I have no control over it”!

m4rdybum · 22/05/2018 12:53

Welcome to the newbies Grin

I've rescheduled my booking appointment, which will be next Tuesday when I'm 7+1.

I'm going to raise some concerns with the midwife because I've not really had an symptoms. Only tiredness. No sore boobs and only nauseous for 2 days when I was about 5+5.

We're going to tell close family next week after the appointment but I have to say I haven't got super excited yet. I'm just constantly worried Sad
