Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

@sexnotgender. Not just me then? I'm lying on the sofa as if I have the flu. Feel like I've been hit by a bus! Sick, headache, sore throat 🤢🤒. Feel rubbish.

sexnotgender · 19/05/2018 11:42

Definitely not just you. I actually feel hungover, it’s weird.

NoNoCharlieRascal · 19/05/2018 11:53

Awww the joys of pregnancy, I puked in a carrier bag in Lidl this morning. I've got no end of 1st birthday parties coming up next month. How I'm gonna hide it I don't know!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 19/05/2018 14:26

Currently Experiencing nausea and weird left side pains.

Have just downloaded a pregnancy app - feel as though I’m tempting fate by doing so. I know it sounds daft and ultimately won’t make a shit of difference, I just remember being really upset deleting my app last time after my MC.

Nic1989 · 19/05/2018 15:01

Hello all Smile
Newbie here lol got my bfp two days ago now and I’m extremely happy 😊 bit nervous but happy!!

jellyfish2210 · 19/05/2018 17:08

@loopdeelou @sexnotgender I feel exactly the same. I'm almost 8 weeks and honestly feel like I've been on a full weekend bender. I could sleep the entire weekend away and even when I have napped I don't feel any better!

Women don't seem to talk about just how exhausting these first weeks are, I expected to be tired more when further along as you are carrying much more weight but this is ridiculous.

m4rdybum · 19/05/2018 17:11

I second the exhaustion!!

Have had to schedule in naps and I sleep like the dead at night - but still wake up at 7am Angry

bakingdemon · 19/05/2018 17:58

@Merrz @cryptonaut what with the hangovers and pregnancies, turned out no one was really drinking at all so no one noticed me having the tiniest bit of prosecco and then sticking to soft drinks. It was really really hard not to say anything with some of my best friends all talking about their kids.

loopdeelou · 19/05/2018 18:24

I've fallen asleep twice today whilst lying on the sofa. Really didn't realise and I was going to feel this bad. And whoever coined the term 'morning sickness' can do one. I've been feeling sick all day long with no break. Bleurgh.

jellyfish2210 · 19/05/2018 19:18

@loopdeelou I'm exactly the same. Slept most of the afternoon and still shattered.

RedWineAllMine · 19/05/2018 19:29

I get a little nausea at night time, but then it goes, so other way round for me! Apart from mild cramping I feel great to be honest. Hope you feel better soon loop

cryptonaut · 19/05/2018 19:36

Reading about everyone's nausea and struggles makes me worry that I don't feel worse. I'm more tired than usual but that's it really. DH has just left for a business trip this morning, really hope the sickness doesn't start while he's away, don't wanna go through it alone. Hope everyone whose feeling rubbish starts to feel a little better soon

RedWineAllMine · 19/05/2018 19:49

Crypto don't feel worse. Everyone is different. I don't have proper sickness. I just get a nausea feeling at night for like 5 min then it passes, and that only started 2 nights ago. I can't see it bring a regular thing for me as I'm sure I'd have it worse by now. My friend was preg n didn't have any sickness at all and she was fine. It's estimated 80% of women experience it according to stats. Some women don't get any symptoms at all. Maybe were the lucky few that don't get the sickness?

socktastic · 19/05/2018 21:06

Hope you don't mind me joining the club. Just found out I'm expecting #2 at the end of january. Still a bit tentative to believe the positive yet as I've have no feelings of being pregnant. Last times I had nippy boobs that came and went.

Also, it's mega early. I would be exactly 4 weeks since last period. I had an mmc at 12 week scan before having my wee boy who will be super jealous of no longer being an only child!

Only came on to say hello and gave you my life story... sorry about that

sexnotgender · 19/05/2018 22:03

Taken a peppermint oil capsule this evening and it’s made me feel a bit better.

m4rdybum · 20/05/2018 12:37

@cryptonaut - don't feel bad for not feeling bad! To be honest, I'm starting to think my two day queasiness was actually a bug, cause I've gone back to just feeling tired and occasionally a bit crampy now.

I've said to my DH I'm embracing it, nd wasting as much food as I can before the sickness may (or may not!) start.

m4rdybum · 20/05/2018 12:37

Eating not wasting*

LJFM2B · 21/05/2018 08:39

Hi All,

I tackled a wedding Saturday while hiding it! My DH drank any drinks given to me and I drank a combination of ginger ale which looks like my usual whiskey and lemon-aid and some lime and lemon-aid in a wine glass and nobody said a word (my best friends know but all else were clueless)

Nausea kicked in yesterday and this morning on route to work i loudly gagged twice!!! need some tips .. iv read ginger snap biscuits and having some lemon to smell is good ... i think im going to buy some brown paper bags just in case. Im actually very pleased as any symptom is welcomed but could be a tad embarrassing haha

Hope your all keeping well!

MrsXx4 · 21/05/2018 09:59

Morning all,

I told my parents yesterday because I was feeling quite stressed out about my sisters upcoming hen weekend and then her wedding in which I am maid of honour and already have my dress which I will absolutely not fit into now! I felt I needed my mum on board to help me handle the situation and work out what needs to be done! but instead she just cried and cried and cried!! happy tears!! it was emotional and I wish I could have bottled the moment up and kept it forever! ....we didn't really problem solve though!

I got home after saying that I felt totally fine and did my first loud gag but no sick! .....isn't it delightful!! haha! xx

DareToDream89 · 21/05/2018 11:15

Feeling so sick 🤢 today! Had an upset tummy this morning and now feeling horrendous. I hope it's just pregnancy and nothing else. Stuck in a boiling hot office which doesn't help either xx

cryptonaut · 21/05/2018 12:13

For all those feeling sick, maybe try some peppermint tea? I've read that you can have some herbal tea while pregnant but not to overdo it. Hope everyone finds a way to overcome the nausea and feels a bit better.

lolacola13 · 21/05/2018 12:17

@socktastic hey I'm exactly same as u. Got a bfp on Saturday there last period was 21st April so it's vvveryyyy early days not feeling preg at all tbh period supposed to be due Wednesday so I'll feel better when Iv missed it.. boobs sore a tad and can't stop peeing but no nausea etc xoxox

m4rdybum · 21/05/2018 12:53

@DareToDream89 - I honestly felt horrendous for two days last week but now starting to think it was a bug, and not the baby. It made me worry that my HCG levels had dropped, as I've felt fine since. I think I'm a bit too early to be feeling consistent nausea - only 6 weeks today and looking around, I think the general consensus is it will start around 8 weeks.

Drink plenty of fluids and rest.

KimBeau · 21/05/2018 13:24

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to Mumsnet and excited to be in this group! I'm 7+5 and due around 4 January. I found out I'm expecting our first baby 3.5 weeks ago and time is going soooo slowly! I can't wait until 20 June for our first scan so am having an early scan next week for peace of mind...and I'm really bloated so want to check there's only one in there (twins in both families)! Other than bloating and tiredness, I've been lucky with symptoms so far. Got my first pregnancy cold now though so feeling a bit sorry for myself!

DareToDream89 · 21/05/2018 14:22

@m4rdybum I'm so ready to go home I can hardly keep my eyes open!! My DH is not being very supportive and is just saying you will feel better later but I just want to collapse on my bed and sleep. Xx
