Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

@Penelopepitstop2306 it's 21st June 9am just hope I get to it as lost my last pregnancy a week before my 12 week scan xx

cryptonaut · 17/05/2018 20:25

I had a hard morning at work, nothing was going right and I got so frustrated that I started crying lol just glad I work from home so there were no witnesses! I've also noticed that my nipples always seem to be erect (sorry tmi I know) like I'm cold when I'm not. @Noodles14 I'm also always hungry now but fill up quickly when I eat. Had some mild nausea a couple of times but I wouldn't say that morning sickness has set in yet, definitely the bit I'm least looking forward to.

Noodles14 · 17/05/2018 20:51

@cryptonaut I've notice my nipples also seem to be constantly erect! ! 😂🙈

charlybs · 17/05/2018 21:25

haha I have the issue with the nipples too. I took my bra off when I got home tonight and my nips rubbing on my shirt made me feel so sick 😂 they don't tell you that in the books haha

NoNoCharlieRascal · 17/05/2018 22:23

Evening all, mind if I join? Early days here but strong bfp yesterday and sickness for 4 days already. Desperately hoping it's a sticky bean. I have one ds already who is 11 months and the age gap would be perfect! Due Jan 27th.

Eek! Grin

helloworld88 · 17/05/2018 22:54

@jadem1990 we've got the same due date :)
Sorry to hear about your last one, hope this is a sticky one!

cryptonaut · 18/05/2018 09:01

@Noodles14 @charlybs I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one, feel a bit more normal now lol

NYBaby · 18/05/2018 11:17

Hi,

Glad to know there are other shellshocked preggos out there! I’m in week 6 and the nausea has really kicked in now. Literally feel sick all day and night long and I can’t stand it. Have ordered those wrist bands to try and ease it! I’ve taken yesterday and today off work as the thought of the hour long bus commute is more than I can bear right now. Thankfully my boss knows and is extremely supportive.

I have been getting cramps everyday too which has me worried but I’ve read it can be normal?

Aside from that just really sore boobs and slightly more tired than usual. My anxiety is through the roof which is exacerbating the nausea I think 😩.

Not due to see a midwife until 30/05 and my husband doesn’t want to tell anyone until after this but I’m dying to tell my mum, mainly for some support more than anything.

Sorry for the long winded post it’s my first time and it’s all a bit overwhelming.

Sending love and support to everyone here xx

Hi, can i join? Been lurking for the last week but too nervous to post in case it was tempting fate. 5 + 2 today, due 18th January. We've decided not to tell anyone until after 12 week scan so feels like the next 7 weeks are going to be really hard going. Had sore boobs and been feeling slightly nauseous, discovering eating small and often helps but apart from that just trying to curb my excitement, we were ttc for over a year so this has been long awaited.

sexnotgender · 18/05/2018 11:44

Welcome @Merrz!! Congratulations.

m4rdybum · 18/05/2018 12:57

Welcome to all the newbies!

@cryptonaut, glad I'm not the only one with nipple issues! Grin

On a separate note, I'm a little worried. Spent the last two days feel like death warmed up, and this afternoon it seems to have lifted and I feel fine (and hungry!). I'm thinking I might ring the midwife on Monday if the nausea doesn't return.

How likely is it I could get an early scan? If they can't fit me in the week after my booking appointment, I'll have to wait three-four weeks due to no cover at work Sad

RedWineAllMine · 18/05/2018 13:25

Hi fellow bumpies 🤰
Joining as I'm 6+6 today. Still hanging on In there surprisingly - as in the past 2 yrs I've had 1MMC at 8+3 & 4 chemicals really early on (4 week stage). So got my fingers crossed for this one!
No bleeding as of yet. Constant knicker checker tho, and symptom spotter. To be honest I don't think i will relax and enjoy this pregnancy until I've got the 1st trimester out of the way, due to my past losses.
Getting cramping coming and going very often and that always scares me.
Had my first wave of nausea last night, but it passed relatively quickly. Got first midwife appt 30/05.
I'm due 6th Jan according to Flo.
All the best everyone!

Ozzyseb · 18/05/2018 13:45

Hello! Mind if I join too? Smile just found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant! This will be my first and according to calculators due mid January. So far just mild cramping, nausea and sore nipples. Really hoping everything goes okay! Because so far I'm just a nervous wreck lol congratulations everyone! X

charlybs · 18/05/2018 19:34

@m4rdybum are you entitled to an early scan? usually they only give one if you really don't know your dates, you have a history of mcs or you've had a bleed etc. that's the nhs anyway - I think privately you could have one a week if you could afford it!

They do the 12 week scan on purpose to check a few things specifically - there's like a window of opportunity where they can measure a bit at the back of the head. Apologies if I'm telling you stuff you already know x

m4rdybum · 18/05/2018 19:51

Yeah @charlybs - I was thinking more private but I think I was just having a bit of a flap earlier.

Thankfully, I don't have any other alarm bells - just strange how I went from awful nausea to nothing at all. But my husband just said that surely it's not every single day for all women - just need to stop worrying!

RedWineAllMine · 18/05/2018 19:53

I'd like to ask for a early scan at my first midwife appointment due to my history

charlybs · 18/05/2018 19:55

glad you're feeling a bit better. I think the grass is always greener - if you have symptoms you wish you didn't and if you don't you worry and wish you did!

m4rdybum · 18/05/2018 20:07

Yes - I'm definitely not complaining. Just such a worrying time until the 12 week scan. But I suppose no matter what, finding out earlier (good or bad) won't change what happens.

RedWineAllMine · 19/05/2018 00:21

It's the constant cramping that's starting to do my head in. I feel like just taking painkillers all the time to get rid of it, but at the same time I don't really want to because I don't want to constantly take paracetamol. They aren't painful, just really naggingly annoying.
But true want you say, when you get symptoms you wish them away, but if you didn't get the, you would worry and would want symptoms. Can't really win. But I hope the cramping doesn't last forever, or that it's not the start of something else. I've had it since 4 weeks, and haven't bled. Anyone have any tips on managing them better?

bakingdemon · 19/05/2018 07:14

I'm having lots of friends over to watch the royal wedding today - none of them know and so somehow I've got to hope none of them notice that I'm not drinking and that I'll need to wee every 20 minutes! Just hoping everyone is too focused on the telly to notice!

RedWineAllMine · 19/05/2018 08:11

Baking you can buy non alcoholic wine, beers & kopperbergs. Why don't you get some in then you can pretend Grin

Merrz · 19/05/2018 09:08

Baking let us know how you get on. I have a big family party in a couple of weeks and have no idea how I'm going to hide not drinking Hmm If it's your own house just keep being a good hostess that way you can keep topping everyone else's drink up and they'll just presume you're topping your own up too

cryptonaut · 19/05/2018 09:25

@bakingdemon or if you're one to have him and lemonade or something along those lines then just have the lemonade without the alcohol Wink personally I prefer vodka and coke to anything else so whenever I have one my friends are like "there'd better be alcohol in that", so now when they say that I'm going to have to fib a bit

DareToDream89 · 19/05/2018 09:50

Good morning all

I'm off to London today to the theatre with a friend and her daughter. I feel the size of a house and nothing seems to fit properly!! I hope everyone has a lovely day whatever you are doing xx

sexnotgender · 19/05/2018 10:38

I have a BANGING headache and feel horribly sick.
