Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

Oh @cryptonaut that's amazing!!! Let us know how he reacts xxxx

m4rdybum · 11/05/2018 15:27

Great effort, crypto

Following on from everyone saying how worried they are - I'm glad I'm not the only one! We've managed to fall pregnant on our first go and it all just seems a bit too good to be true at the minute. I don't have any symptoms yet but did have bad cramping earlier in the week which made me convince myself I was having a chemical.

On a lighter note, the cramps have subsided and I'm now just bloated and full of wind Grin A lot of farts are getting blamed on the baby.

I'm due to test again tonight and tomorrow as I've only done a test before my missed period. Bought some Clear Blue which are bloody expensive so hopefully a bit clearer than my last test.

m4rdybum · 11/05/2018 18:04

Although kudos to Clear Blue - definitely a lot clearer than the cheapies!

@m4rdybum that's a lot darker than my line was! Congrats Smile

The hubby had such a good reaction, although his first reaction was "why do we have flowers? Do we have flowers because we're pregnant?" Lol he knows me too well. He couldn't stop smiling and neither can I now he knows.

He's coming with me to the doctor tomorrow, which is a good thing because he started asking a load of questions about what I can and can't eat amongst other things

Hey everyone, haven't posted in a weeks ish.
Still have my stinky cold! 2 weeks now
So went to doc to see what I could take. I told her about being worried about the baby not because of the cold really but because if I am run down then the baby not getting right nutrients etc. Bad news is the usual can't take much apart from
Paracetamol but try honey lemon and hot water etc. She also said that babies are well protected so unlikely to have any direct affect on them unless temp of over 37. mAlthough she has booked me in for an early viability scan. She was such a lovely woman and so
Empathetic about my MMC so she has booked me in to try and ease my worries. It's next Thursday so hopefully it will help and I'll be able to see something 😊. Hard not to get excited by the prospect of being able to see the baby. Even though i know it's still so early and in the back of my mind I'm
Still terrified it will happen again. Come on sticky rainbow bean!! 🌈
Hope everyone else is doing ok x

Hi everyone
I just got my bfp today, it's been a squinted for two days but today it's real! Eeeekkk!!!! So excited!!! This will be baby number 2, my daughter is 16months old and I have been trying for a sibling for her since December. This is a clomid baby. Going off my LMP I am due around 15th Jan, however I think I ovulated later his cycle as I only just got bfp now at cd32

Penelopepitstop2306 · 11/05/2018 20:18

@PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 sorry to hear you're feeling so poorly. I'm glad you saw such a helpful Dr and that they've organised an early scan for you. I'm sure if you should be doing something different they would have told you. If they've tried to reassure you and say the baby is well protected I would be inclined to follow this advice. Are you taking any prenatal vitamins? This may help ensure you get some goodness inside you.

m4rdybum · 11/05/2018 20:19

Thinking of you Pidgeon Flowers

Being poorly is awful at the best of times without the stress you must be feeling. Glad that the doctor made you feel comfortable.

Thanks @Penelopepitstop2306 @m4rdybum yes taking pregnacare so hopefully it will be ok. It must just be a stinker my DH has also had it for a long time and he's still sniffly- so least it's not just me!

Welcome @Debbieness congrats on your BFP.

Penelopepitstop2306 · 11/05/2018 21:22

Welcome @Debbieness. Congratulations on your BFP.

@PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 it is a horrid cold going round there have been lots of people suffering from it at my work. I hope you can get some rest and shake it off.

ready4number2 · 12/05/2018 06:19

Congratulations everyone for getting this far, it can be a long road. I just had my second bfp, at 13dpo. According to ff I will be due 20th Jan. Fingers crossed the next few weeks go smooth.
Hope you are all feeling ok so far. Only symptoms I'm having are cramps that only started yesterday.

ready4number2 · 12/05/2018 06:22

@PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 I also have a horrible cold which has got worse as the weeks gone on. Honey & lemon sounds good. I'm going to try to go back to sleep now and take advantage of my husband taking the early shift with our 2 year old.

charlybs · 12/05/2018 06:47

Ooh! I was only on the antenatal board, didn't realise there was a pregnancy one too.

Hiya, I'm either 7 weeks or 5 weeks - didn't get the chance to have a period before I fell so not sure (yay early scan for me!) Number 2 here, to join my current 14 month old. Been having awful morning sickness and exhaustion so have already told my boss who was piling the work on haha.

Hope everyone is coping ok with their symptoms, it's not an easy ride but usually 2nd trimester is fun! xx

MrsXx4 · 12/05/2018 10:22

Hi everyone! hope everyone is feeling alright! Its been 2 weeks since we found out and I think I am finally allowing myself to believe this actually could be real! We are so scared to get over excited or to talk about it too much! my app says I am 5 weeks + 2 today!

I still haven't told my parents! me and DH are going on holiday in 2 weeks time, we had planned a very active 2 weeks in the highlands but obviously we will have to take each day as it comes now and I may need to rest in between as the tiredness has definitely set in! fingers crossed I don't start with the sickness as I have read that it is common to begin at 6 weeks! that'll be a nightmare on our 9 hour car ride to Scotland! haha!!

Is anyone paying for an early scan? its £80 where I am but I'm not sure about doing it as I know what will happen will happen either way. I just hate this wait!! I just want confirmation that all is ok! xxx

MrsXx4 · 12/05/2018 10:30

.....also, is anyone else feeling self conscious about their bloat? I know it obviously isn't baby yet but my tummy is so round and my DH keeps saying that it actually looks like a pregnant belly! I am a size 8 and wear quite tight dresses to work. I haven't bought any new clothes, my dresses still fit fine but there is no hiding the bloat in them! I had to give up with my trousers because I cant do them up comfortably at the moment!

I walk around holding a folder over my belly but feel like people are going to start to notice soon! I cant even breathe it in! I have tried! lol!

MrsH1990 · 12/05/2018 10:35

@MrsXx4 congratulations I'm 5 Weeks+3
The bloat... omg yeah! Shocking so paranoid especially with work 😩🙈 good luck on your holiday xxx

Upsydasiy · 12/05/2018 11:34

🙋 another one whose self conscious about the bloat! I’ve taken to wearing Spanx 🙈

PermanentlyExhaustedPigeon18 · 12/05/2018 11:35

Oh yes definitely with you ladies on the bloat.
I look much further along than I am. I'm sure I caught someone staring the other day at work! 😕. Trying to hold off for as long as possible before telling work.

loopdeelou · 12/05/2018 12:17

The bloat has been real for about a week! My jeans are far too uncomfortable to do up. I'm having to wear all the floaty tops I own and hope that covers it. I'm worried people will notice before I tell them.

DareToDream89 · 12/05/2018 14:58

The bloat is horrendous!! Have started to use a hair bobble to hold my jeans together!!

Is it ok to take paracetamol during pregnancy? I have a splitting headache and have a party to go to tonight 🙁

MrsH1990 · 12/05/2018 15:14

@DareToDream89 paracetamol is fine nothing else though xx

ohhellojo · 12/05/2018 15:26

@mrsxx4 we’ve looked around our local area and found a company (well family business I think) who do three scans over the course of pregnancy, two which are 3D, there’s a 4D live video thrown in there at some point and a cast of bambino’s hands/feet once they’re born for £200. Everywhere else I’ve seen are about £50-60 per scan, but I suppose it depends where you live. Have you looked at Mothercare? They have a scan facility in some of their locations for about £60 I think.

ohhellojo · 12/05/2018 15:28

Also, I have to wear a uniform to work and their ‘XS’ is about a standard size 18. I’m 5 foot 4 and a size 8... I could be 40 weeks and noone would know 😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️

purplesmiler · 12/05/2018 16:30

Hi ladies :-)

I would like to join please.

I got a positive test (or two) yesterday and am roughly due around the 14th Jan (My cycles were a little longer). We had a MC 20 months ago so we are excited as we have been TTC since then but also anxious after what we went through.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all.
