Anyone else had a positive test recently and due in January 2019? Natural cycles says I'm due 3rd Jan 😊 would be lovely to hear others in the same boat!

Currently 4+2 so really early days still.

Hi all! I've done 4 tests in total with each one getting a stronger positive line each time Grin. Currently five weeks and due 8th January! So excited but also feeling nervous about any potential problems- hope I'm not the only one that mildly panics at every twinge Shock

Penelopepitstop2306 · 10/05/2018 19:29

Congratulations @Noodles14 @MrsH1990. It's funny how different we all are with our symptoms. I'm trying to keep as calm as possibly and just reassure myself it's normal, nothing you can do and just to be calm.

Have got my booking appointment with the midwife on 6th June which feels so long but really excited. It's definitely motivating DH and I to get the house sorted rather than to sit and talk about the things we need to sort out.

Frenchiemamax · 10/05/2018 19:32

Anyone else just so anxious and worried something will go wrong? ☹️ Can’t shake it today!

cryptonaut · 10/05/2018 19:35

I haven't had any symptoms yet, I suffer from depression and anxiety so I feel tired all the time anyway so it's hard to tell if I'm tired because of that or the pregnancy. As with the anxiety I do panic, first it was "what if there's something wrong and I can't have kids" so I do wonder about what that fear is now going to be replaced with, especially when the symptoms really start.

Noodles14 · 10/05/2018 19:49

I also worry sometimes about what could go wrong but also try and stay positive and remind myself that worrying doesn't help at all or make any difference! I don't have any symptoms as of yet apart from slightly sore nipples Shock! When I contacted my GP surgery they said to fill out a form (which I returned today) and then their midwife will contact me- is this the 'booking appointment' some of you mention?

Frenchiemamax · 10/05/2018 20:18

Yes noodles this is what I had to do with the GP too, hope they contact us soon! Good advice too ❤️

Penelopepitstop2306 · 10/05/2018 20:23

@Noodles14 I think that will be for your booking appointment. It's about an hour long appointment when they start talking everything through with you. Here is some information:

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/antenatal-appointment-schedule/#first-contact-with-midwife-or-doctor

It sounds quite exciting even if it is like the beginning of admin having a baby.

Pearcrumble · 10/05/2018 20:34

@frenchiemamax yes, I'm also pretty anxious, I am trying to not think about it, but then end up trawling the internet looking for reassurance and answers about every possible thing. Sometimes I feel really happy and positive that things will work out, other times I am absolutely sure that I won't end up with a baby in Jan. I guess that is a bit down to the mood swings too!

Pearcrumble · 10/05/2018 20:37

@frenchiemamax and I meant to add, I hope that you feel less anxious tomorrow, and that the worry cloud moves away for a whole

helloworld88 · 10/05/2018 20:50

I also seem to be worrying about every twinge. I was looking up ectopic pregnancies last night and was almost in tears! I keep doing pregnancy tests as that keeps me happy for a few hours before worry sets in again!

I'm 4 weeks today and just had some twinges on my left side and a few times felt I couldn't stand up straight due to it!

Finding it so hard to keep it to myself, there are quite a few people in work who are pregnant and I just want to join in with their conversations even though they are months ahead of me!

Frenchiemamax · 10/05/2018 21:14

I’m glad we have each other and this thread to get these worries off our chests! Night ladies ❤️

allinthestars · 10/05/2018 21:28

Hi all!

Hope you don't mind me joining!

I recently found out I'm pregnant (not planned!) and due 9th January from what I can work out. I already have a one year old daughter ❤️ here goes the start of worrying everyday that every twinge or cramp means something's not right! Roll on that 12 week scan 😊

Looking forward to getting to know you ladies xx

MrsH1990 · 10/05/2018 21:40

@allinthestars we are due date buddies ha! Not planned also! So shocked! But we're happy! This is my first pregnancy! This group has given me a lot of reassurance alrady and I've only been in it 24 hours 🤣🙈

Can't wait to tell friends and family when we're 12 Weeks but seems so far off!! Sooo bloated and exhausted! Xxxx

allinthestars · 10/05/2018 21:55

@MrsH1990 aw what a good date! She (assuming it's another girl) already seems to be making me feel more sick then I did my previous pregnancy so I'm probs going to end up telling my family in a few weeks so they can help look after my daughter if I'm feeling a bit more tired. I haven't even gone back to work yet, I'm still on maternity leave from my daughter 😂🙊 I may pay for an early scan but will wait a few more weeks x

MrsH1990 · 11/05/2018 08:08

@allinthestars Aww r you? When r u due back to work then?
How early can you pay for the scan? I may pay to make sure everything ok? Xxxx

allinthestars · 11/05/2018 08:23

@MrsH1990 you can get a scan from 6 weeks but sometimes they may have to do it internally until your 8 weeks. Heartbeat should be there at about 6 weeks 😊

cryptonaut · 11/05/2018 11:56

I now have everything I need for my big reveal. I'm too distracted right now to work so I'm going to put it all together and surprise the hubby when he gets home from work. Can really feel the adrenaline from the excitement and nerves right now!

ohhellojo · 11/05/2018 12:26

@allinthestars when they say ‘internal’ what does that actually entail? How is an interal scan performed? I really want an early scan just to make sure I have a bean in there, but I’m shit scared of someone prodding my foof/ the bean and me not having a clue what’s going on 🤦🏼‍♀️

sailing123 · 11/05/2018 12:35

@cryptonaut what is your plan?! so excited to hear what the reaction is! enjoy your special moment! x

sailing123 · 11/05/2018 12:37

@allinthestars i think the early scans they use a long probe type thing and its still an ultrasound but just goes internally in your bits! its painless and safe and i think really common practice in the USA where i think most pregnant women have one! x

sailing123 · 11/05/2018 12:38

@allinthestars @ohellojo sorry that message was for @ohellojo!

SecretStash · 11/05/2018 12:41

I’ve just seen My gynaecologist (about a large cyst that I had) told her about the pregnancy and the fact that because contraception was used I didn’t know and had taken medication which is a no-no, been exposed to slapped cheek virus, taken diet pills and all kinds of bloody things you shouldn’t do if you’re pregnant, and she tried to reassure me a bit and also said she would send me for an early scan next week.
I’ve also finally told DH. He’s being totally fine about it.

At least if I have the early scan and it’s not viable then I can get it sorted sooner rather than later.

loopdeelou · 11/05/2018 12:48

@allinthestars I've had an internal scan before. It's fine. It's a long probe which they lube up and put in you 😂. It's a teeny bit awkward but don't think it's as bad as a smear test. Teeny bit uncomfortable when they are moving it around in you but it certainly doesn't hurt and I wouldn't be reluctant to have one again.

cryptonaut · 11/05/2018 13:37

@sailing123 I have bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers and put it in a vase on the kitchen table (first room he goes into when he comes home from work), in front of that I've got a box of Roses, wrapped it in tissue paper and put a note on saying "open me".

When he opens it he will see the chocolate box and a note saying "see coffee table". He will then go to the living room where I put an envelope that says "open me".

Inside the envelope is a card that reads "only the best husbands get promoted to daddy", inside the card is a 0-3 month bodysuit with "smiles for daddy" on it and a positive preganacy test (wrapped in clear plastic for hygeine lol)

jellyfish2210 · 11/05/2018 14:07

That sounds amazing!! Good effort!!
