Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

I feel exactly the same. I've got an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday.
I can't work out my due date very well. I never tracked my periods as they was so irregular.. and we didn't really use protection as I couldn't get pregnant with my ex and thought I couldn't have them. So I just want to be sure I defiantly am.. and when it's due. It's really annoying x

FireAndRain45 · 26/04/2018 07:48

I had a phone appointment with a doctor on Tuesday and having a face to face one today, just to discuss meds I'm on etc but the phone appointment dr said they won't do a blood test which is annoying as I feel the same, just want that extra reassurance! But I've done like 5 tests and she said the tests are reliable and mean you're absolutely definitely pregnant Smile

SoyDora · 26/04/2018 07:49

Only told DH so far, to be honest I’ve been really busy this week and kind of forgotten I’m pregnant! Enjoying this time where it’s possible to forget before the sickness kicks in massively Grin.
My best friend is pregnant and due about 4 weeks before me so I’ll probably tell her in a few weeks, and maybe my mum.

SoyDora · 26/04/2018 07:50

Yeah the Dr’s dont confirm here either, you just self refer to the midwife. Which I should probably do!

mamfypuss · 26/04/2018 08:08

Oh really, so next step is to pick the hospital. Do I want a Suffolk not or a Norfolk Boy. Start of many decisions I guess x

Rose2887 · 26/04/2018 09:08

@mamfypuss I’m in the same boat 😂😂 Norfolk or Suffolk lol.. I’m thinking Norfolk!! Xx

mamfypuss · 26/04/2018 10:09

@Rose2887 I'm thinking norwich too. Much better equipped, just Ipswich is a little bit closer. We can't be far apart being on the Norfolk\Suffolk boarder x

FireAndRain45 · 26/04/2018 10:26

Ok what is the waking super early thing all about? I'm knackered!

Rose2887 · 26/04/2018 10:30

@mamfypuss I’m basically right on the border!!! I just have bad memories of Ipswich hospital!!! Bury st Edmunds is meant to be lovely but Norwich will be my choice if possible :)

@FireAndRain45 tell me about it... prob getting us ready for the sleepless nights lol.. apparently it settles down.. hope so!

Xx

@Rose2887 yeah same. My Nephews were born at Ipswich and they was amazing, caught one's hip Displaysia really early. They had to go up to norwich however for his treatment, which makes me think they are more equipped.
I never even thought of Bury. I'm Near Diss so Any is a possibility. X

Pob13 · 26/04/2018 11:10

Anyone bought/read any good pregnancy books yet?

G00ders1 · 26/04/2018 16:21

When I called my doctors to make an appointment the receptionist told me to bring my home pregnancy test as ‘proof’ that I was pregnant 😂😂😂 when I said this to the doctor she laughed, and said she didn’t need to see it. She also said that home tests are better than any test she could do at the surgery xx

Rose2887 · 26/04/2018 17:22

@mamfypuss I’m near eye :)
My mum works at the n&n so gives me comfort that’s all.. and it’s so new and fresh. I’ve heard bury is a brilliant birthing unit but want to go somewhere familiar.

@G00ders1 what... that’s madness! I didn’t even see my dr just a telephone consultation which suits me 😊

@Pob13 no I haven’t.. looked for a magazine in Morrisons but they didn’t have any!

@Rose2887 that’s what I thought!

Advice needed!

I’m a teacher - we’ve had a really violent child (who I don’t teach at the moment, but do see on the yard) who I’m quite concerned about. As well as this child, there a two additional children who are causes for concern. I’ve been out of school today (moderation) but have found out that the two boys have been fighting and have knocked over the deputy head (she had a nose bleed and is grazed all down one side). I’m 6 weeks on Saturday - should I tel my school so that I can give a reasonable explanation why I don’t want to be near those particular children? I don’t want to tell them, but also don’t want to be in a situation like that xx

FireAndRain45 · 26/04/2018 17:50

I bought this today, hoping it'll be helpful.

@G00ders1 I think I'd tell tbh, your safety is the most important thing. Could you just tell one or two people who will keep it quiet?

Pob13 · 26/04/2018 19:05

Is anyone still taking tests? I might do one tomorrow. These cramps are freaking me out.

mamfypuss · 26/04/2018 19:15

@Rose2887 I'm In wilby Near Stradbroke so only a few villages. Yeah I didn't even think of Bury and am almost certain it will be n&n.

@Pob13 I feel like doing one tomorrow. I haven't, but I keep getting nervous I've got it wrong.

@G00ders1 I would certainly tell them. Your health should be the main concern.

G00ders1 · 26/04/2018 19:33

See, I knew the advice would be to tell them 😩 I’m not on duty till next week now, so I can give it a few more days...may drop that bombshell on them on Monday morning 👍 xx

G00ders1 · 26/04/2018 19:34

@FireAndRain45 there is no such thing as a secret in the school where I work 😂😂🙈

Rose2887 · 26/04/2018 19:35

@G00ders1 I’d definitely mention it.. just so it looks like you are being professional yet have your best interests at heart.

@Pob13 I done one yesterday a clear blue digital and it was all On track and I’m having bad cramps, dr said it’s normal, prob some scar tissue and stretching.

@mamfypuss we are close then... what a small world! We may be at the n&n at the same time 😂😂😂

@FireAndRain45 I want a magazine but then hold off as they are so expensive and I can get all the info off my phone I guess.. when I supermarket had a browse at baby stuff Grin

My dp doesn’t want to find out the sex but I kind of do for buying purposes.. all the unisex stuff is rubbish

Xx

@Rose2887 I keep having cramps too. How far are you? I'm absolutely petrified of something going wrong. When did your Dr say it would stop??

I received an email today inviting for me an interview for my dream job (which I applied for well before I found out I was pregnant) I've turned down going for it because the timing really isn't right now. I just keep thinking what if something happens and I've turned down this amazing opportunity!?!

mamfypuss · 26/04/2018 20:24

@Rose2887 you never know, maybe we will 🤣

@emmalou9 I know exactly how you feel. I have a job interview next Friday. I think I'm going to cancel it, however I don't want to miss out if anything happens. Such a dilemma.

Is anyone else super hungry? I can't believer he amount I am eating! I've not really got that bad sickness yet! But gosh the Hunger. I had 3 cheese rolls by 9 am 🙈🙈🙈 x

Rose2887 · 26/04/2018 20:31

@emmalou9 apparently it does calm down after the first trimester. As long as there’s no bleeding it’s all good, so don’t worry :)

@mamfypuss yes I’m hungry... was at work today and literally snacked all day then got home and was starving, feel like if I do not eat then I can’t do anything, tonight I’m shattered though.. but guess I’ll be up early again.. which is annoying me!!

I really want to buy something but just dare not lol...

I got offered a job interview for Monday but turned it down, as I don’t think I’ll be going back to work after the baby anyway.

mamfypuss · 26/04/2018 20:39

I'm in bed already as I'm super tired. But I'm still soo hungry. It's madness. I'm usually an early riser so i don't notice waking up that early to be fair.

I have to go back to work after the baby. I make twice as much as my partner. Going to be really hard leaving the baby I know it is 🙈 got to be done though. Xx

N8Emma · 26/04/2018 20:39

@G00ders1
Yes, definitely tell them if you're worried. You should definitely put your health and that of your baby first. I'm thinking I might tell the headteacher next week at my school, even though I'm only just 5 weeks now. We have some similar children at my school and I'm one of the members of staff who has done restraint training so I don't want to end up being called into tricky situations. I figure that if something goes wrong, my boss would have to know anyway. Also, I'm on SLT so know that he wants to get staffing sorted for next year (I'm currently in year 6) so want to give him the heads up sooner than the end of June, which is when I'll be 12 weeks.
@Pob13 yes I'm still taking tests... Not had any bleeding or cramps but just paranoid that I've imagined the whole thing!
