Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

@rose maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get nausea!

I'm also getting short of breath sometimes but dr google tells me that's normal, because of the progesterone apparently. I've done about 5,000 searches in the last two days

Is anyone going to brave watching one born every minute tonight?!

Rose2887 · 25/04/2018 19:35

@FireAndRain45 I hope so 👍🏻

I watched one born every minute before I officially knew I was pregnant, I cried!! I literally feel so emotional... does anyone else?

I am having emotional moments too!

I don't think I could watch one born every minute, I saw a baby today and it hit me that all being well I will have one of my own. Think it's all still sinking in.

Pob13 · 25/04/2018 20:10

Can I join? Strong BFP today so I reckon Im due between xmas and new years.
No symptoms apart from af like cramps.
Had a mc last year at 8+4. Really scared its going to happen again.
Im very obese so I will hopefully get to have a scan early as i am high risk. Also need to try and lose some weight.
Its all a bit scarey.

FireAndRain45 · 25/04/2018 20:22

Pob hoping this one is sticky for you Thanks

Oh god yep so emotional. Have cried about 4 times a day since I found out, and saw some baby clothes in Next today and had to try very hard not to bawl my eyes out in the middle of the shop

Congrats pob13!!! Hope all goes well for you!

Dreaminofholidays are you still in shock? I still don’t really believe there’s a little blob inside me 😂

Anyone tempted to have an early private scan?

I cried to my dp on the phone earlier... I’m all over the place, ended up watching an awful video on YouTube last night about a lady losing her baby at 34 weeks... wish I hadn’t :( xxx

OP posts:
dreaminofholidays · 25/04/2018 21:15

absolutely in shock still. How far along is everyone?

I am keen to have an early scan, I don't think I can wait for a 12 week scan. Anyone else?

I have my doctors app Friday, has anyone else been yet?

Pob13 · 25/04/2018 21:16

Thanks @Rose2887.
Why would you watch such a video?!!! Probably best to steer clear from those sort of things.
Although Im watching one born every minute. it will either excite me or terrify me!

Rose2887 · 25/04/2018 21:32

Pob13 I was watching a pregnancy one and it came up on suggestions and just clicked out of interest and was too late :(

Dreaminofholidays I’m 5 weeks as an estimate till I have scan.. I’m tempted to have a private scan.. just to check dates etc.. plus the fact I’m not ill makes me worry more, but maybe I’m just not hit with sickness yet or I’m lucky Grin

I have an early scan booked in for the week after next. More so to try and stop me worrying than anything else. I also want to make sure everything is okay before we tell anyone.
This will be my first so I'm very panicky about everything!!

N8Emma · 25/04/2018 22:14

Hello! I'm new to mumsnet (as of 2 minutes ago!) And new to pregnancy too! Got my first positive pregnancy test on Monday- even though my period was due last Thursday, all tests were negative before then. Still can't quite believe it! Think my due date is 27th December. It's all so weird and exciting and also terrifying!

Rose2887 · 25/04/2018 22:41

@emmalou9 you’ll have to let us know how it goes :) I’m tempted by dp seems to think I’m fine to wait... 🙄

@N8Emma congratulations!!! Your close to my date!!! Welcome :)
Yes I’m all those things too!!!

Xx

Hey. Hope you don’t mind me joining. I got my BFP last week Only phoned my GP today as I keep thinking it could all be a trick 😂. Due 27th December too

Jallebi · 25/04/2018 23:23

I would like to join too, please. Got a bfp last weekend, with a due date of 30 Dec.
As for symptoms, I have no sickness or tenderness yet, but crazy bloating.

Pob13 · 26/04/2018 06:06

I really want some other symptoms instead of these af type cramps. I feel like cramps indicate something bad. Give me a sore boob or something.

N8Emma · 26/04/2018 06:06

Is anyone else waking up really early?!
I'm also really bloated (struggling to fit into my jeans) and have really sore boobs so I have to wear a bra even at night. Oh, and I'm weeing more! But actually feel like I've got more energy than usual and no sickness yet.... I'm sure I've got it all to come though!
Just me and my hubby know at the moment. Have you guys told anyone yet?

Rose2887 · 26/04/2018 06:32

@N8Emma yes me!!!!!! Wake up dead on 6.10 every morning even if I’m going to bed later Angry
Glad to hear you are feeling well!!!! I’m shattered all the time but prob lack of sleep 😂
How far gone are you? Xx

Welcome newbies and congrats to your amazing news!!!

We can talk on here about anything including our worries and how we are feeling!

It’s been so lovely for me to have this forum as my partner doesn’t really give me much sympathy, I don’t think it’s real for them until they’ve seen a scan picture xx

OP posts:
N8Emma · 26/04/2018 06:55

I'm lucky so far- I've not needed much sympathy yet! I'm worried about when the sickness starts! I'm a year 6 teacher and I'm in charge of all the SATs tests in a couple of weeks so it might be tricky!
I'm wondering whether to tell a few people. My hubby's dad is very ill with cancer so we thought we might tell our parents this weekend to give him something positive to think about. But it is still very early days- think I'm only 5 weeks today (and those tests that show the number of weeks say even less). It's my mum's birthday tomorrow so would love to tell her. I figure that if something went wrong, we'd tell our parents. Is anyone else telling anyone yet?

mamfypuss · 26/04/2018 07:05

@N8Emma I've told my mum and the oh has told his dad. Nothing like a little bit of support. But we are going to wait till 12 weeks to tell everyone else. It's really hard to know what to do at this time. X

FireAndRain45 · 26/04/2018 07:14

I've told a few people already because they knew I was told a few weeks ago that it might be hard for me to get pregnant (the doctors were v wrong obviously, happened on the first go!) and my family and best friend have all been giving me tons of support. I was absolutely gutted and facing loads of tests, and they were asking me about it most days, so I would have had to lie.

So I've told my parents, sisters, best mate and aunty/aunty's kids. We're all very very close and if anything did go wrong I'd want them to know and be there for me. Apart from DPs parents and sister I think that'll be it until we have a scan and get out of the first trimester. I agree it's very hard to know what to do but I don't think you have to follow the 'keep it a secret till 12 weeks' completely, for me it's been vital to tell some people

N8Emma · 26/04/2018 07:22

Thanks @mamfypuss @FireAndRain45
Yes think we'll tell our parents tomorrow. I'm finding it really weird that my only real 'evidence' is a test that I did at home. I called the doctors as soon as I found out on Monday, but they said I need to contact the hospital I want directly. I've sort of made a decision based on what I've heard about hospitals and done a self-referral form but waiting to hear back about my booking in appointment... And from what I've read on here, that's probably doing to be about 3 weeks at least. Just wish a medical person would tell me that I'm definitely pregnant!!
