Newbie to the pregnancy board! Due end of December.. anyone else due around the same time?

Just looking for a board to join, have just started weaning myself off conception. I’m due 26th December. Feeling like it would be nice to join a group with people due similar time :)
Feeling a little anxious about things going wrong and dp doesn’t really understand x

All went well! Wriggly, uncooperative baby who wouldn't get in the right position for ages. NT measurement is 2 which I've looked up and that seems to be normal?

Have people posted their scans on social media? If so how did you announce it.

Me and my partner have decided to not put it on social media. We've told our family and close friends. My Granddads reaction was the best "ahh bloody hell... not you as well!" He's now got 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He's excited xxx

@mamfypuss thanks. We are going to wait until the 20wk scan before we put it on facebook. We have a little football babygro with our surname on, so will put a pic of that up. We have told pretty much everyone though. My Grandma (92 + quite morbid, although fighting fit) said "i hope im still alive when its born". I wouldnt have expected anything less from her!

@mamfypuss this was ours. I make cakes as a little hobby on the side which explains the theme 😉. Announced the afternoon after our 12 week scan as I was so excited lol

those who have announced, what did you do about waiting for combined test results? I was going to wait till I got the all clear letter but I reckon that might take absolutely ages (10 working days or longer). Pretty sure they said I'd hear back within 3 days if anything was wrong and my scan was Monday...desperate to tell the entire world now but dunno if it's too risky!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven’t checked in for a while. How are you all doing? Really lovely to see the scans rolling in.

I’m 16 weeks now and had my midwife appointment and heard baby’s heartbeat again. Feeling generally not as low energy as I was although I was struggling in the heat today. I’m large now and have told most people I’m pregnant now, including work. Still feeling anxious about the impending labour and birth (I had an awful time with #1) but I’m in control of the emotions I think. At least for now...

For my DS we kept the Facebook announcement low key and waited till 24 weeks. Also did the gender in passing as didn’t want the whole “congratulations it’s gender X/Y”. No scan or bump photo.

I really didn’t want to post at all on Facebook but in the end I did a massive friends cull first.

I'm thrilled to announce that we are expecting a baby in May. The prospect of meeting our son and venturing into parenthood with (DH) brings me the most enormous happiness!

Can you imagine being further along in this heat! I am completely useless right now!

Hi all. Just to let you all know; i messaged our OP (Rose) as we hadnt heard from her in a while. Unfortunately due to personal reasons she had to end her pregnancy. She wishes us all well.

I was wondering where she went but couldn't work out how to message. Xx

@Pob13 im absolutely exhausted. Ive just woken from a 2 hour nap which is starting to become a daily occurrence.
This heat is zapping all my energy.

@Pob13 feeling good thanks- feel back to my normal self at the moment, in terms of energy levels and not as many mood swings. I'm struggling in the heat but think everyone is! Went to the local lido this morning which was brilliant for cooling off. Just flaking out this afternoon though.
Thanks for letting us know about Rose. Is been wondering but didn't know how to get in touch.
@emmalou9 not bought anything yet. I went to Mothercare the other day but was just so overwhelmed that I came out empty handed. Think I'm going to get my sister to write a list of what I'll actually need as there is just too much out there! Bought a few maternity things though as can't fit in many of my normal clothes now
Hope everyone is well. After thinking Christmas was terrible timing, I'm now get glad to not be heavily pregnant in summer!

@N8Emma and @emmalou9 the heat is killing me too. My sickness is also getting worse 😭. I struggle to keep anything down at the moment. I think we are waiting until after the 20wk scan before we start buying stuff.

I'm currently in Mallorca Dying from heat!
Had food poisoning from a dodgy restaurant and not felt fab all holiday. I have the Midwife when I get home so going to speak to her about it.
I'm sure my stomach is shrinking too. Anyone else feel like this?

I've got everything already. But been given it all! Which is soo nice. Just bought a new mattress for the pram and my dp parents want to buy us one for the cot.

When's everyone's next scan? Mine is the 27th July x

Hi all sorry just catching up and checking in - I’m not 17 weeks and everything is going well so far had my cervix measured and no need for a stitch at the moment - started to feel a few flutters. Time is still passing so slow just can wait to be further along and for the baba to get here. Hope everyone is ok lovely to see the scans xx

@Maggi85 have you had your 16wk checkup? Mine is on tuesday. I have no idea what the midwife will do. No doubt i will have to wee in a tiny jar again (why are the jars so damn tiny?!).

@Pob13 I had mine last week.
They give me my blood results. They told me to get the whooping cough vaccine. And that was kinda it. Only took 20 min.
They did make me pee in a pot again though. And they are stupidly small pots xxx

Thanks @mamfypuss. How are you? Are you still abroad? I bet it was horrible feeling rubbish not in your own home.

@Pob13 that's okay, it's seriously nothing to worry about. Apparently the next midwife appointment they do bloods again too! I'm petrified of needles so that's really had for me.
I'm back in England now and feeling a lot better. Got a cold now so feel like its never ending but still better than I did on holiday. I was lucky as I was at my granddads that I used to stay at 4 times a year. So it wasn't too bad, but I did miss my bed!
