Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

@Embracethechaos @Imxo Thanks ladies. I’ll try to stay calm!

laurG · 17/06/2018 10:24

@SK166 thanks!

Oh is is making me watch you tube videos on baby care. Very good idea really. Responsible Father’s Day!

LostMyBaubles · 17/06/2018 10:43

Aww thats lovely laurG
Hopefully its just a reassurance for THEM if anything

Passed some very snotty slightly pink tinged mucus last night.
Had lots of on and off pain for a while its all settled now so will keep eye on it.

Ive been watching one born every min again. Love watching it during pregnancy as it reminds you even more of the end goal 😍

How is everyone feeling today

lmx0 · 17/06/2018 20:10

Currently having a lie down as little miss is being very lazy and ive only had a few movements today lay down at 7 felt a little but not much then fell asleep blooming typical!! Gonna lie here for a little bit then ring if i dont feel her properly

LostMyBaubles · 17/06/2018 20:40

Imx0 hope everything is ok do get checked out if you are worried

lmx0 · 17/06/2018 21:06

Ive rang the hospital and was told to have a sugary drink choccy lie down for 2 hours n see what happens ive felt some wriggling so thats got to be a good sign?

LostMyBaubles · 17/06/2018 22:05

Its very outdated advice.
They should have told you to go straight in.
You still sound worried, id ring them back

KTD27 · 17/06/2018 22:16

Agreed.? Please do go in and be checked. Any change of movement should be monitored

lmx0 · 17/06/2018 22:39

Ive felt a good amount of movement now and im alot happier even dh is happier hes seen & felt it for himself these babies like to test us!!

Embracethechaos · 18/06/2018 03:23

My waters broke so I've been admitted, labour ward is full so I'm in antenatal until the morning. Contractions have started, I should be resting but get pain when I lie down. I'm finding breathing techniques and little walks useful.

KTD27 · 18/06/2018 05:14

lmx0 that’s a relief. Obviously having a sleepy moment-how many weeks are you now?

embrace EXCITING!!! Hope all goes smoothly for you!

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 06:49

@Embracethechaos ohh goodness hope all goes well and keep us updated!!!

@KTD27 im 34 i find soemtimes she would have the odd sleepy day but in would still feel a little kick now and agin however my dh took me for a walk yesterday that was way too much so i maybe just walked her into a little sleepy state so made up for it at bedtime however!!

mustbemad17 · 18/06/2018 08:22

Playing catch up, hope you are all okay. Embrace everything crossed for you lovely, hope little one doesn't keep you hanging on too long now!! I'm superbly jealous!!

Imx0 how are your movements this morning? My MW gave me similar advice to you when movements stopped, was the longest 2 hours of my life but it worked a treat. Very scary stuff tho!

Hope everybody else is ticking along nicely this gloomy Monday morning

KTD27 · 18/06/2018 08:29

lmx0 totally normal to lull them to sleep with movement I think. I get my strongest movement when I finally sit down for the day after running round after my toddler.

My ankles have gone back to normal size thank goodness! Counting down to our scan on Friday I really hope this baby has turned around!!!

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 09:05

@mustbemad17 ive felt movement this morning thankfully it really was the longest 2 hours but deffo helped thankfully i didnt fancy having to go to hospital and possibly wait around 6 hours as there is only 2 docs on a night how are you doing?
@KTD27 i would find that too normally around 6/7pm she comes awake hope the scan goes well!!

mustbemad17 · 18/06/2018 09:15

Haha little man definitely comes alive more when i'm trying to have downtime! Altho he just loves a warm bath, if i splash my bump with warm water he goes mental! Doesn't help any when you want to sleep tho.

I'm still hanging in there, induction is now looking like my new due date...small one has apparently made himself far too comfortable. In some ways its easier tho; we have been able to put plans in place for DD & school etc, DP has been able to sort work out...i feel quite relaxed about it all now. Going to go back through my hospital bag & make sure it is prepped for a few days stay just in case...they've told me once the process starts, as long as no complications it could be Saturday before he is definitely here. Seems an age away!

LostMyBaubles · 18/06/2018 10:10

Embrace eeeeeek!!! Good luck!

Imx0 glad shes moving more for you! It really is scary when they go a lil quite.

Mustbe induction can take a little time but the end goal is baby 😍😍

Ktd glad your swelling has gone down!

Just had some paracetamol. Got lower back and stomach ache. Hopefully will tske the edge of it soon

letsallhaveanap · 18/06/2018 10:15

embracethechaos wow! Good luck how exciting!!

Im considering going camping tomorrow as my toddler keeps going on about it.... feel like itd be a nice thing to do and spend some quality time with him before new baby arrives...
But also is it mad to try camping at 39 weeks? Ill only be 30 mins away from home?

mustbemad17 · 18/06/2018 10:17

I wouldn't consider camping unless i had a super comfy bed haha...it is so uncomfortable trying to sleep in my own bed right now!!

Yesssss the end is definitely in sight, almost within touching reach whoop

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 10:32

@mustbemad17 its always the way!! Ohh i miss a bath i only have a shower 😞 thats good your more settled with the induction now and yes you can plan more which always helps with stress whens you induction? ( i know ive asked but i forget!) and just think by the weekend he could be here?!

@LostMyBaubles oh it really is!! They like to keep us on our toes!! Hope the paracetamol helps!

@letsallhaveanap i wouldnt be keen on camping just for comfortable reasons but if you really wanna go i dont see why not just take it easy!!

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 10:34

My pram is arriving today!!! And my first birth class is tonight!! 😁

mustbemad17 · 18/06/2018 10:40

Ooh pram excitement!!! Mine is in the car taunting me every time i open the boot haha. My folks bought us a gorgeous sheepskin liner/cosytoes that i just cannot wait to use...i grew up in Germany where babies were regularly laid on sheepskin in just vests, loving the warm weather. Made me want one this time haha.

I'm the other way, i'd love a shower! We don't have a shower so i have to battle the bath when DP is home...i daren't try on my own in case i get stuck. Not sure the fire brigade need to see that hahaha.

My induction is booked for Wednesday evening, so that's the start of the end for me. MW has basically explained the 3 stages & said if by Saturday no movement it will be a c-section, so i know that by Saturday very latest my little man will be here

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 10:50

@mustbemad17 ohh sounds lovely!!! When did you put your pram into the boot? You always want what u don't have Don't you that would be my luck id get stuck and have to wait until dh came home!! 😂 hopefully it goes quick for you you've waiting long enough!!

mustbemad17 · 18/06/2018 10:58

Pram has been in the boot for an age tbh! We bought it 2nd hand really early as was an amazing deal...it lived under the bed for months! We are in a small flat tho so has to shift it & the car seat for space, so now both are just baiting me every time i get in my car haha.

Oh god, i actually did get stuck once! When my SPD was really bad i seized up in a sitting position, was awful. DP had to stand on the bath over me & lift me straight up & over the side 🙈 since then haven't dared try a bath alone just in case. My mum told me she wouldn't have managed to lift me when she was here, but at least she'd have been able to grab me a shirt & let the fire brigade in if i got stuck 😂 DP works funny shifts & i have DD at school so the only alternative would be ringing him at work. Can see how well that would go down 🙈

lmx0 · 18/06/2018 11:44

@mustbemad17 thats fair enough then i might out them both in the car when im around 37 weeks it can live under the stairs until then thankfully he was home!! I could imagine both phones calls now!! 😂
