Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

We celebrate both in my family. This year DP has a lovely 'youre like a daddy' to me card & a choc monkey from DD, & a '1st father's day to my daddy' card with a choc racing car from DS (who WILL be here by then grrr). Even my dad has a little basket of goodies & DS name in a card ready. We don't do much on the day, maybe breakfast in bed, but we always show effort with a nice card & little something.

I've been having some entertaining movements this afternoon, & i can only describe it this way...ever seen a dog with its head stuck in a bag or bucket & its using its paws to try get it off? This is what it feels like DS is doing currently 😂😂😂

lmx0 · 11/06/2018 17:29

Ive planned to make up a bag of stuff for DH for the hospital some chocolate travel sized toiletries for him to refreshen up and ill write in his card stuff to keep you on top to help mummy well something along those lines fathers day wasn't a big thing but i always make sure ive a card and some chocy or sweet for my dad

LostMyBaubles · 11/06/2018 17:49

Must if you ever find out what those movements are please do tell me.
Baby likes doing it too and I can only describe it as him digging his way out lol

Imx0 that's a good idea. Ive never taken anything for hubby other than charger lol our phones take the same charger.

Im all achey. Lots of movements very low down in my pubic bone Shock feels like head is down low and feet up top.
Actually feels like my bits are gonna fall out

mustbemad17 · 11/06/2018 17:52

MW just said it was him moving about, he is engaged so it tends to be his shoulders & arms that shift. I just had visions of him trying to get his head out haha.

Head low down puts sooo much pressure on doesn't it! I felt like if i sneezed his head would just pop right out if only it was that simple

LostMyBaubles · 11/06/2018 18:23

Tmi im very sorry but on the pubic bone, the outside near the top where 'it meets' the external flaps thats where I could feel him 😶
Bumps a bit tender. Dont have a bloody clue what's going on.
Ive just given in and had some gaviscon. Heartburn be gone!

mustbemad17 · 11/06/2018 18:31

Yep, feels like he is trying to push his way out front ward? That's what i get. I had a very odd sensation today (that i now realise was my show) where it felt like a bubble between my legs & i needed his head to burst it!! Bloody babies.

I have been eating rennies like sweets, luckily picked up my omeprazole today. Gaviscon is the liquid of the devil, so vile!!

lmx0 · 11/06/2018 18:43

@LostMyBaubles i know my DH wont wanna leave my side when I'm in labour and the last thing i need is him fainting lol so hopefully some chocy will keep him going a bit my baby has been head down from 28 weeks too ohh the pressure can be something else cant it!! I find it always makes me feel like i really need a wee lol
@mustbemad17 i so agree but gavison is nicer than peptac (the doctors version) it is horrendous!!

mustbemad17 · 11/06/2018 19:36

Can't say i've tried that (not missing much it seems haha) i was quite lucky to get omeprazole apparently, my MW told me that GPs don't like prescribing it cos it's expensive! Does the trick tho, if you're suffering beg & plead for it; one tablet a day, voila. Magic.

Just been out for a brisk walk, now back on the ball. Lost a bit more yucky stuff so trying to keep the momentum going

LostMyBaubles · 11/06/2018 20:03

Must it all sounds like its going in the right direction!

Ive been having the double action tabs.

Dont taste the best but do the job

I lost some mucus with a tiny bit of blood last week. Mum convinced it was show.

While in labour my hubby has even left to wee. Hes there as soon as im in delivery room until then hes at home with the other dc. He does pop into hosp to see if im ok etc but its not the closest so I tell him to save petrol for when hes needed lol

mustbemad17 · 11/06/2018 20:30

I lost my mucous plug about 3 weeks ago...the show i've had today is totally different (didn't have a show with the previous two). Apparently the plug is insignificant (yay) but the show is more promising. I feel like a ftm hahaha all this stuff i never knew

LostMyBaubles · 11/06/2018 20:47

Whats the diff between the 2?
Its still exciting times no matter how many youve had!

mustbemad17 · 11/06/2018 21:02

Exciting definitely...has just highlighted to me how different they can be tho! My first 2 were so breezy & samey.

My plug was pretty gross, like clear jelly with strings of pink blood. Mine came away in one lot so there was a fair amount.
The show i had today was like a period tbh, with small, stringy clots in it.

lmx0 · 11/06/2018 23:06

@mustbemad17 oh its vile!! The tabs are very good im on them and have been for a while i think thats why ive been very lucky with heartburn!!

@LostMyBaubles it can be hard when you have dc to think about as well eps since babies can take their time coming!!

KTD27 · 12/06/2018 08:24

mustbe thanks for the meds tip! I have a diaphragmatic hernia which is killing me with heartburn and the bloody GP hasn’t mentioned anything at all they can do so I’m going back to argue for some medicine as soon as I can now I know what to ask for!

Hardly slept last night my flipping PGP or whatever it is is murder. Can’t turn over in bed without pain. Am lining up a physio today as another 4 weeks of this feels like torture.

Butterflyrosebud · 12/06/2018 11:27

Can I join?

37 weeks (and one day) I’m so fed up I just want her here now. Had the worst nights sleep ever last night.

Baby is engaged and midwife was optimistic she could come early/ on time as I’ve been having some pains low down. Although they seem to have stopped now.

Went on a massive cleaning spree yesterday but it’s given me a backache today so I can’t even be productive. I feel guilty not doing anything! Hate leaving the house, IBS playing up which makes it worse.

Overall I haven’t had a bad pregnancy at all I’m just impatient and want my baby girl here.

Feel like this is never going to end!

mustbemad17 · 12/06/2018 12:48

KTD27 i didn't have to fight for mine so hopefully once you mention a specific name they will cave. I've had it in 2 out of 3 pregnancies now so know it's considered safe. Bloody miracle drug!!!

I'm still with child...and hacked off about it 😂 still having a show on & off which according to some digging means my cervix is doing its thing. Lots of cramping. But no blooming baby. Sad because mum goes home tomorrow 😩

lmx0 · 12/06/2018 14:21

@Butterflyrosebud welcome & congrats hopefully your MW is right and you wont have too long to wait an easier day may help your back there is nothing as bad as sore back
@KTD27 ohh poor you sounds like hell! hopefully the doc will give you some and they help

LostMyBaubles · 13/06/2018 17:35

How is everyone getting on

lmx0 · 13/06/2018 18:21

Im having a shitty day 😢 bit emosh n feeling sorry for myself and just had a massive three scoops of ice cream
How are you today?

Embracethechaos · 13/06/2018 18:29

Physically I'm great but emotionally I'm up and down. Dh is having a bit of a wobble and being really vague about what he wants for fathers day and I know he doesn't like surprises. I feel like, now in off work I have limited weekends and want to make the most of them but planning is difficult... I want to see my sister and aunt on Sunday as they can't do Saturday but I want dh to have a nice day... Not sure if he wants a day just or to have some time on his own to chill... He doesn't get on great with my sister. I didn't do much today as I had lost my phone at home and was feeling too emotional to really make an effort to look for it, I sat in the garden, talked to my dog, did a bit of online shopping then suddenly my dh was home, he made a sarcastic comment about the kitchen and said he'd had a stressful day then he made dinner... I said to him last night he needs to look after himself.. I tided the spare room so he can do his weights as he used to enjoy doing that in the evening, helps him sleep. Got our penultimate nct class this evening, not sure how awake we will be as we are both morning people. They are good though.

LostMyBaubles · 13/06/2018 18:34

Oh you are both having shitty days

Ive done no cleaning, hubbys tea needs to be made (hes fasting and there will be enough left over for the both of us tomorrow)
Think my eldest is coming down with something.

Hes coughing, getting a bit more deep now, no temp, runny nose and is ok on himself.

Hes got tube in his stomach to feed him and theres blood around it. Makes me think hes burst a vessel coughing or irritation due to coughing. Its not hurting him which is good. Hes currently sat playing games. Will try and get emergency drs appt for him in the morning

Embracethechaos · 13/06/2018 18:40

Oh, that's not good lostmyboubles. My dh has fallen asleep on the sofa, ill have to wake him up soon for the class. Dinner was just a reheat job. I ate a whole malt loaf for lunch lmo, my dh did spaghetti to go with with the healthy stew I made yesterday. then after dinner went to the corner shop and bought chocolate biscuits for pudding.

mustbemad17 · 13/06/2018 18:40

I was hoping people were having a better time than me 😔 i'm really struggling, 5 days overdue now & still contracting/tightening on & off. But no movement. My body is exhausted! Have another sweep tomorrow & a very frank discussion about the next step, ie induction. Little man has dropped lovely but is obviously far too comfortable where he is.

Sending massively un-mumsnetty hugs to you all!

Embracethechaos · 13/06/2018 19:04

On a positive note, let it go,from frozen came on and baby started moving. I sung and danced to it in my second trimester quite a bit when baby started moving and responding to music. I haven't heard or sung it for ages but she remembered. I think it might be our song, allthough kt tunstall was the first song I felt definate kicks to. Grin I'm looking forward a having a baby bobbing along to songs. My dh is into his rock/metal. She does move to any music with a heavy beat, but also Disney, I may have a little headbanger on my hands soon. Grin

SK166 · 14/06/2018 08:00

Oh no - looks like everyone’s having a bit of a crap time! So sorry to hear it all.

@Lost - how’s your little one this morning? Any better?

@must - what a stubborn little fella! How do you feel about induction if they suggest it?

@lmx0 - ice cream is always the answer. It’s nature’s Prozac. Especially if you eat it in the bath! Feeling any brighter today?

@embrace - I love when my little one dances along to music! Although now she’s bigger and running out of space it’s getting more painful!

I’m knackered this morning and a bit fed up of going to and from the hospital - got 4 appointments this week, whilst also trying to finish up at work and hand over - BUT....today is my last day!! HOORAY FOR MAT LEAVE! Feels like I’ve been waiting forever. So happy to have finally made it and not have to worry about this damn job any more.

Just hoping that baby doesn’t keep us waiting another 4 weeks or I’ll be bored out of my tree I suspect...!
