Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

@WreckItRach good luck for today!! Hopefully things move quickly for you!!!

@LostMyBaubles youd love to see the look on their faces if you rubbed back!! But im always in shock when anyone does it lol

WreckItRach · 29/05/2018 11:31

Thanks guys! Just waiting for a bed 😁

Could you imagine if you rubbed theirs back, that's hilarious 😂😂

GottaBeStrong · 29/05/2018 12:35

@WreckItRach I'm 37 weeks today.

@lmx0 yes, I don't think the heat helps at all especially humidity.

How scary about the lady. I've had acquaintances do that the bump touching and rubbing thing. One woman I vaguely kept rubbing it A LOT. I found it really odd but also could see it came from a nice place within her so I didn't say anything. If a stranger tried to touch the bump without asking I think I'd flip my noodle.

GottaBeStrong · 29/05/2018 12:36

Good luck WreckIt. I hope you get a bed soon!

lmx0 · 29/05/2018 13:40

@GottaBeStrong no it deffo dosent it was very warm last night i was laying awake for over an hour as there was no air it was that warm n cats decided to have a go at each other!!! Needless to say ive the fan hoked out for tonight!!

GottaBeStrong · 29/05/2018 14:08

@lmx0 funny about the cats. I don't envy them all that fur! We have one of those pedestal fans and had it on all night. It gets very hot in our house as the stairs are open to the living/dining room so all the hot air rises and boils us.

lmx0 · 29/05/2018 14:43

@GottaBeStrong ohh i could imagine it was be awful!! Nope i don't envy them either lol

Another thing about this heat you open as much as a window to let in cool air (not that there is much!) and the cast if bugs life comes flying in!!! Think ive a wasp swatting on my living wall really high up as if it has a right to be there!!!!

WreckItRach · 29/05/2018 15:57

It is so stuffy at night! I opened the window but the people who lived there last out the blinds on the wrong side so the breeze was blowing them about like mad!
I have been monitored and had the first pessary in, they are happy with baby at the minute. I have been for a walk and on the ball, just lying down for a bit because I'm so tired. I hope you are all feeling well today!

lmx0 · 29/05/2018 16:10

@WreckItRach rest as and when you can but move around too (apparently helps things along)

Im dreading work tomorrow in this heat!!!! Ill be fried!!

Smurfybubbles · 29/05/2018 16:12

@WreckItRach good luck today, hopefully it all moves along quickly for you!

GottaBeStrong · 29/05/2018 18:25

Hope you can rest @WreckItRach as well as keep moving - hard to balance.

@lmx0 it's so stuffy and muggy. It's not even been at all sunny here the last couple of days. I have some of those mesh fly screen things you can stick on the window. I need to find them and try to install one on the bedroom window.

Can you imagine how hot the maternity ward are!? Urgh!

Good news here - after baby girl had been quite quiet for a few days, today she's back to normal. So guess she was either growing or changed position.

I feel absolutely exhausted today. I just want to sleep but I have had other things to attend to.

WreckItRach · 29/05/2018 20:30

@GottaBeStrong if you are really tired make sure you do take time to rest as well! I'm so pleased she is moving more for you now 😊

I sat for a few hours and played cards/watched tv/had dinner then DH came and we went for a lovely little walk behind the hospital and saw two deer! I'm alone again now so I'm going to watch something and bounce on the ball for an hour then relax in bed 😊 hopefully he will get a shift on tomorrow now!

LostMyBaubles · 29/05/2018 20:41

Ahh when I was induced (with youngest) had been waiting a fair while (think a day or 2) as pessary wasn't working
Space became available for me on delivery as soon as my food arrived!
Mw said quickly eat and will take you down you will need the energy

GottaBeStrong · 29/05/2018 20:55

@WreckItRach that sounds very pleasant and relaxing! Hope the bouncing helps. I did read somewhere that crab walking up and down a flight of stairs can help get things going.

I have had a bath, had my dinner and waiting for OH to come home so I can prepare his (reheat jobby). I'm just relaxing in front of telly. Hope I sleep well tonight.

lmx0 · 29/05/2018 21:30

@GottaBeStrong im envious of you and your bath!! Ive only a shower 😞 i had one last year for the back door (ive a furbaby) but it was pants kept falling off the door frame im hoping the maternity ward will have AC or is that wishful thinking? Lol thats great too hear!!! They like to scare us sometimes!!
@WreckItRach sounds like a nice way for things to start hopefully you wont be waiting to long before things really kick off have little pains or anything yet?

WreckItRach · 29/05/2018 21:52

@LostMyBaubles was your pessary a propess? I can't tell if they are the same or different.
@GottaBeStrong I will have to try crab walking on the stairs tomorrow 😂
@lmx0 I have back ache and had quite a lot of heavy pressure when walking so hopefully it's all a good sign!

lmx0 · 29/05/2018 21:54

@WreckItRach i would imagine thats a good sign? 🤞🏻🤞🏻

WreckItRach · 29/05/2018 22:16

I think so! I don't actually know what contractions feel like though! I have a really achy lower back and intense pressure on my pelvis now. I'm going to try and get some sleep and see if it gets any worse... 😬

LostMyBaubles · 29/05/2018 22:20

Wreck I cant remember lol it was a while ago

I do remember hubby dragging helping me walk around the hosp lol
I couldn't walk. Just waddle lol
I dont dilate properly which is why it didmt work but it does work for a lot!
The pressure sounds good though!

WreckItRach · 29/05/2018 23:36

@LostMyBaubles 😂😂 that made me laugh! I feel like in the last day I have perfected the pregnancy waddle now haha!

LostMyBaubles · 30/05/2018 09:50

Hope you are doing ok wreck
My pregnancy waddle is back but a lot earlier lol 26 weeks tomorrow

Smurfybubbles · 30/05/2018 10:52

@WreckItRach hope you're holding up! My induction started the same, constant period pains/aches and pressure! The contractions are distinct they'll come in waves, peak and then ease off!

All they seemed to give me while in induction was codeine but be careful as it will constipate you making the after birth poo harder!!!

mustbemad17 · 30/05/2018 12:04

Eek wreckit hope you are doing okay, keep bouncing! Come on little babba!

I had a MW check yesterday (38+4) to find out that my little monkey is now back to back 😩 still 3/5 engaged which is reassuring, but explains the constant backache recently. Anyone else fed up yet 😂

lmx0 · 30/05/2018 12:41

@mustbemad17 i feel you!!! My back is in agony!! 😭

mustbemad17 · 30/05/2018 13:02

I'm on the ball - literally haha. Even my butt cheeks hurt, i swear DP is using this as opportunity to get a few kicks in during the night 😂
