Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

Back is aching this morning and ive woke up with a horrible headache

Im not really under a local mw
Im consultant led and only had 1 appt with mw just so I could listen to heartbeat

I did go drop in last week and she said should have gone straight to hosp

Im thinking about ringing the hosp to see if urine results have come in

Glad you and baby are ok! So scary when you get reduced movement

mustbemad17 · 27/05/2018 17:23

Is it actually possible for baby to be pushing your waters into your cervix??? Keep getting a very odd sensation when he shifts, like a bubble between my legs (sorry TMI!) & it almost hurts. You'd think by number 3 i'd be a pro at this...but no, i feel like a first timer all over again 🙈🙈

LostMyBaubles · 27/05/2018 19:18

Must I really don't know but have had that over the past few days.

I could hear it bubble too Blush

If you find out do let me know lol

I got ‘the glow,’ lovely skin and thicker hair during my first and only (so far) pregnancy. I didn’t appreciate it though as I had awful sickness and didn’t feel great yet had everyone telling me how good i looked and assuming I was having a wonderful pregnancy. Looks are very deceiving!

SK166 · 27/05/2018 21:42

@PasstheStarmix - I guess none of us gets off easy! Making whole new human beings is bloody hard work.

I have to say, I've never had very good skin and pregnancy has at least made a difference there. For the first time in my adult life I'm actually reasonably comfortable not wearing make-up. Doubt that will last beyond the birth though, eh?

Swings and roundabouts!

PasstheStarmix · 27/05/2018 21:56

Exactly @SK166 it’s definitely swings and roundabouts; you really can’t win can you?The lovely strong long nails didn’t last either! They’re now as brittle as ever and more snapped than they were pre pregnancy (partly from washing up after a toddler.) The downside to the thick hair was watching it falling out during the post pregnancy shed phase after finishing breastfeeding (I convinced myself I’d somehow be able to keep it!) The skin as you say doesnt last how ever I have noticed a slight improvement with mine and it’s quite good (maybe down to a change in hormone makeup!?!) but certainly no more flow and makeup needed to recreate it! Sad

PasstheStarmix · 27/05/2018 21:57

glow* should say

lmx0 · 27/05/2018 22:35

@WreckItRach glad your wee ine is okay and hopefully the sweep works for you!!!

Ive been told by loads of people how well and glowing i look so i must have the glow however my nails are still like crap and my hairs not great (too me!)

mustbemad17 · 27/05/2018 23:18

Been for a long walk down the sea front today, along with a very bumpy ride home! In quite a lot of pain now in my abdomen & lower back so got everything crossed we see some movement overnight!! Otherwise this child of mine is a sadist 😂

lmx0 · 27/05/2018 23:41

@mustbemad17 ohh that sounds lovely!! Fingers crossed baby makes a move!!!

Has anyone had any problem with their nips poking through bras and tops? No one else maybe even notices it but i do and makes me a little uncomfortable!! Any ideas on concealing these bad boys??!!

mustbemad17 · 28/05/2018 10:39

Sadly it was a no go. I am rather disappointed this morning, was hoping we would have some movement. In fact i've woken up with a foot firmly lodged in my ribs the little monkey!!

Imx0 i'm the same! I can have a bra, vest top & tee on & STILL see the nips!! DP doesn't seem to think they're that bad...he is more concerned with the belly button protruding haha

MamamamaT · 28/05/2018 16:19

Hi all, love this thread! 33 weeks today. It's sweltering here, (and obviously I've got the extra heater in my belly!) put on a pair of shirts for the first time and I feel huge and hideous! Quite keen on the thought of this one coming along a little early... Hope you are all coping with the heat today :)

lmx0 · 28/05/2018 16:28

@mustbemad17 awww poor you!! Ive my fingers crossed that you will just go into labour when u dint expect too how many days are you overdue or how many days till your due date?
@MamamamaT welcome 😊 im the same im in the back garden in shorts n vest top n glad no one can see me!!!

I hope this lovely weather dosent stop when all our little bundles are here i plan on getting out with my new baby and pram!! (And yes deffo not straight away!)

WreckItRach · 28/05/2018 17:22

@lmx0 I totally agree, perfect walking around weather! Although I think another storm may be on its way, it's super muggy here suddenly.
I lost my mucus plug about an hour ago which is super exciting for me! Hopefully it means my induction will go more smoothly 🤞

lmx0 · 28/05/2018 17:37

@WreckItRach hopefully if its (the storm that is!) it will come when you are too busy to notice what the weather is doing!! Ohhhh hopefully thats a good sign!! When is your induction?

WreckItRach · 28/05/2018 17:46

@lmx0 true!! My induction is tomorrow at 11am. I am hopeful that things might have kicked off before then but know that is being VERY optimistic haha!

lmx0 · 28/05/2018 18:34

@WreckItRach well you still have at least 16 hours yet at least if you do have the induction it will only be a matter of time before you get all the newborn cuddles!!

laurG · 28/05/2018 18:54

Anyone having mood swings? I’ve had a really happy pregnancy but now I feel a bit low. Not sleeping and hot weather are contributing I think.

GottaBeStrong · 28/05/2018 19:36

Hi ladies

I got lost there - couldn't find where I was last talking to you all.

It's super muggy here too. I was one of those ladies who had a small bump and two or three weeks ago it decided to pop out I guess. I am so uncomfy. Baby has been in weird positions because of the fibroid and so it feels as if she's wedged some part of her up by my tummy. I have gastroparesis which means my stomach doesn't empty normally (too slow) and all pregnancy it's been quite good (for me) until now. I have forced myself to eat today but no hunger at all. I feel as if I can't sit or lie comfortably as there is so much pressure in the top of the bump.

To top it off she has been quiet so I'm just about to see if I can get her to move by lying on my left side etc. She's always more active later in the day and into the early hours so fingers crossed. I'm guessing it might be because ages moved positions. Had some fanny daggers and period style pains the last few days.

Anyway, yesterda

GottaBeStrong · 28/05/2018 19:37

Oops ignore the last half finished sentence lol Grin

WreckItRach · 28/05/2018 21:20

@lmx0 that's true!!
@laurG I had them in my first trimester but have been fine since, I just get grouchy if I'm too tired.
@GottaBeStrong that doesn't sound fun at all! How many weeks are you? I hope your stomach improves, you have to try and keep your strength up!

I have gone really achy this evening but I have a head cold, I don't know if it's to do with that. I cannot wait to sleep!!

lmx0 · 28/05/2018 21:40

@laurG a big fat yes!!!! Ill be fine one min n the next i could murder for no reason
@GottaBeStrong ohh im sure thats really uncomfortable!!! Could be the heat as well if its warm?

lmx0 · 28/05/2018 21:50

I had my first run in with he stranger and bump thing today!!! I was walking along minding my own business with my dh and some lady came over and shouted at me hows the baby (now i think she may of had some problems) but it scared the life out of me and after i had said ok thanks out of the corner of my eye i seen i had lifted her hand to rub my bump and i automatically put my hand over bump and walked away i must say it unnerved me a little!!!

WreckItRach · 29/05/2018 06:11

Oh god @lmx0 that's mad. It baffles me why you would touch a stranger's belly!! I feel lucky that I haven't had a complete random do it to me.

LostMyBaubles · 29/05/2018 09:36

Wreck it good luck!!! You'll be holding your baby soon 😍

Imx0 I went to a official do last week and the chaperone said ah but you arent fasting are you and put her hand om bump
Never had a stranger do it before lol

Gotta keep cool. This weather wont be helping and plenty of rest x
