Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

@LostMyBaubles ohh id have a high bmi so im assuming that could be why? Doesn't sound like to bad of an appointment then if thats all its for ohh goodness im sure you'll be trying to avoid a section then im looking forward to the birth as well as it will be a mew chapter and ill be able to meet my baby (people think im mad when i say that!)

WreckItRach · 25/05/2018 11:48

@lmx0 I'm the same, I don't feel scared about it at all (even though I probably should). I know it's going to be really hard going but it will mean we can finally meet him!! I can't wait!
The waiting game is driving me crazy, I keep getting cramps and back ache and going to the toilet and hoping it's the start of something but it just stays the same 😔

Anyone got any tips on how to distract yourself?!

LostMyBaubles · 25/05/2018 12:24

Spot on! Cant wait
Feels so different this time

With my first (planned) I had him at 18.
Second 21 but had a horrible birth (was horrible with 1st too so lots of anxiety about it too) fell pregnant with 3rd very quickly (unplanned) there's 13months between younger 2.
Struggled with pregnancy due to shitty birth and having such a young baby to look after and a very poorly dc1.
Obv all 3 are very much loved and wanted. Just struggled with it all but lookimg back wouldn't have it any other way.

This baby is also very much wanted. More relaxed pregnancy as ive got time to enjoy it too.
Youngest birth was amazing. Really good (planned induction) despite it being more painful due to drip it was better than the other 2.

LostMyBaubles · 25/05/2018 12:24

Ive been watching one born every minute lol
Great distraction and its lovely too see all the babies

Embracethechaos · 25/05/2018 14:54

Hello, Im doing well, just tiered nothing else to complain about today. I've got a question about bras for pregnant mums in this group. I'm 33 weeks pregnant, when should I buy I nursing bra. My boobs have gone from and a/b (asymmetrical) to a more even b in pregnancy and my chest size has gone from about 32inch-35inch. I bought bigger, not maternity bras in the first trimester and recently got some bra extenders so they are now comfy again. Should I plan to get one before or after I give birth? I've been looking at some online as I can measure my own chest curcomferance and don't like shopping. It's hard to know how much more my chest will grow and then shrink. Should I go for my pre pregnancy size nursing bra and use the extenders? I know that you don't imeadatly shrink back down after giving birth, but does your rib cage often return to normal quickly?

PasstheStarmix · 25/05/2018 14:56

That’s was true in my case too Creme, getting to 42 weeks pregnant wasn’t fun.

PasstheStarmix · 25/05/2018 14:59

@Embracethechaos I think you should wait and get measured at the time because it’s difficult to say. Everybody is different. For instance ds is 15 months, I breastfed for 6 months and my boobs have stayed bigger. They aren’t as big as they were while I was breastfeeding but they’re a full cup bigger than my pre pregnancy size.

CremeDeSudo · 25/05/2018 16:57

Yes my boobs went comedy sized when my milk came in with DS so I'd put it off as long as possible.

I'm also ridiculously excited about meeting my baby and nowhere near as nervous as I perhaps should be! So different than with DS. I was excited with him but you have no idea what to expect. And we were SO overwhelmed when he arrived! I'm looking forward to being more relaxed and able to enjoy everything this time round. Admittedly I'm apprehensive about the tiredness though!

lmx0 · 25/05/2018 18:01

I think i may opt for sports bras until the girls have settled then measure and order online besides ill prob not be going anywhere for a bit after baby comes lol
@WreckItRach what about going for little walks and meeting friends for coffee or even going having coffee and reading? Or go to the library?

mustbemad17 · 25/05/2018 18:49

Evening ladies! Playing catch up, lost this thread for some reason. Congrats to the new bubbas, so jealous right now!! How is everyone doing

WreckItRach · 26/05/2018 10:45

It's a good idea @lmx0 , it's more when everyone is at work I'm trying to keep myself occupied and not constantly wondering when it will be time!
@mustbemad17 I'm doing well thanks, going for a nice walk around Warwick today with DH. How about you?

mustbemad17 · 26/05/2018 10:52

Ooh hope the weather is decent for you! I'm fed up haha, been getting 'period' type pain on & off for three days, was hoping it would amount to something but no go. The last few weeks are going to drag on i just know it

CremeDeSudo · 26/05/2018 13:53

Ugh. When you see a teenager/early 20something with her tiny baby and she's wearing size 8 jeans with a flat stomach. So bloody jealous!!

WreckItRach · 26/05/2018 18:32

Off to the hospitals for reduced/weak movements today. I know it's good to go and be sure, I would never forgive myself for not going if something was wrong, but I just feel guilty going, like it nothing is wrong I have wasted everyone's time!! Anyway, fingers crossed.

mustbemad17 · 26/05/2018 18:38

Fingers crossed for you, i have had this a few times. My MW is wonderful & tells me to call her if movements worry me...i feel much better going to hospital on her say so even tho i know the hospital staff wouldn't bat an eye lid. These babies!!

SK166 · 26/05/2018 18:51

Oh oh can I join in?

35 weeks with my first and I'm SO OVER IT. Caveat to say I'm enormously grateful to have had a healthy and uneventful pregnancy and to have fallen pregnant so easily in the first place so I'm aware I have absolutely no reason to moan but...

oh god it sucks. Everything EVERYTHING is uncomfortable all the time now. I've got SPD which is suddenly so much more painful this week and making getting around and living my life really hard. Tailbone and middle of my back also ache constantly and there's no position I can sit or lie in that doesn't hurt something.

Can't sleep, can't breathe properly, still have 3 weeks left of work. I just want to spend from now until she's born floating in a cool body of water!

Please tell me at least some of it goes away straight after the birth?!

mustbemad17 · 26/05/2018 18:56

SK166 i totally get you. This is number 3 for me & i have hated every second of it. Literally. I'm greatful that little man is healthy & we have hit this stage (38 weeks) with no major issues...but i'm so over pregnancy now.

I'm holding out on the idea that things ease after birth, have only heard one horror story of SPD remaining afterwards!

LostMyBaubles · 26/05/2018 20:02

Wreck it hope everything is ok

Smurfybubbles · 26/05/2018 20:41

@SK166 I'm 3 weeks post birth and everything for me went away straight away! I didn't have SPD but had hideous heartburn and reflux , breathlessness, PUPPS rash and was waddling due to the enormity of my bump! Despite having to recover from a c section I felt bloody amazing afterwards. Hang in there it's worth it in the end and you'll feel so much better afterwards even with a newborn to look after Wink

Hope all you lovely ladies are holding up in this heat.

SK166 · 26/05/2018 21:11

Oh @Smurfy that makes me feel so much better - to think that maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel! All I keep hearing is just how harrowing and terrible the newborn phase is going to be. I feel like I could handle the sleeplessness and new challenges if these current challenges are at least over and my bloody back stops hurting every second of every day and I can catch a deep breath once in a while!

@mustbebad - I'm so glad it's not just me. I feel so ungrateful saying it because obviously I want this baby so much, but pregnancy is absolutely rubbish and I want it over! 'The glow' is the biggest lie that we get sold, I swear.

mustbemad17 · 26/05/2018 22:00

Sk166 i got the 'glow' the first two times...i feel cheated this time haha. Went two pregnancies with no issues at all. This one has been gack from the start. I'm a walking billboard for teenage girls right now, advertising NOT to get pregnant 😂

SK166 · 26/05/2018 22:05

@mustbemad - you're the mythical 'glow' unicorn?! I'm so jealous! I've had zero glow for the duration, though I was lucky to have a relatively smooth first 2 trimesters. I remember thinking at 25 weeks 'well I definitely don't feel as good as when I'm not pregnant but really this seems fine'....and then late pregnancy hit and boy did I eat my words! You're brave for doing it 3 times...

mustbemad17 · 26/05/2018 22:22

Brave is probably not the term i would use haha. I said no more after DD because she was a pocket rocket rocket...still trying to understand why i decided we needed another child in the mix 🙈🙈 it is interesting how each pregnancy influences any more hahaha

LostMyBaubles · 26/05/2018 23:29

Ive heard of this glow but never had it myself!

I always said no more after the 3rd but herr I am with no4 and not ruling any more out lol

Been on antibiotics 3days now.
Not getting contractions as frequently. Infact more like bh as they arent painful etc
But the crampy, heavy period feeling is still there.
First day or so of period even sittimg down hurts as everything there is so sore, all cramping etc.
Feels exactly the same ans when im weeing im getting pain across lower abdo???

WreckItRach · 27/05/2018 00:31

@LostMyBaubles have you spoke to your MW about the pain when you wee? I hope the antibiotics suddenly kick in overnight for you!
I was monitored and movement was ok, the MW did a sweep and I need to have a scan on Monday to check everything is ok and I can carry on as normally without being induced
