Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

@WreckItRach hopefully your body wont tease you for much longer im okay backs quite sore and few cramps here and there and feel like my vajayjay has been punched but you know all good 😂

Hows all you other lovely mummies & mummies to be doing?

LostMyBaubles · 24/05/2018 06:52

Looks like will have to go hosp today

Woke up 4am ish and felt like baby was turning around you could see it.

Managed to get another hours sleep woke up with contractions every 3ish mins lasting 45 secs plus. Getting more painful.
Crampy feeling inbetween

Just want to get kids to school

readysetcake · 24/05/2018 07:19

Hope everything goes ok @lostmybaubles good luck.

Fingers crossed things start moving along soon @wreckitrach. It’s cruel when the body teases like that! Also I’m having much more success with BF this time so far. Nipples are still sore- but drawing it out first and taking off quickly when latch is bad is helping. But also the fact my boy is a bit more laid back about things than my DD ever was!
Oh and I can highly recommend hydrogel pads to anyone if nipples are sore! Wish I’d had them first time.

Hope the foof pain dies down soon @lmx0 one of my least fav pregnancy symptoms. I can honestly say I don’t miss being pregnant at all 😆

lmx0 · 24/05/2018 08:01

@LostMyBaubles hope everything goes ok keep us updated Thanks
@readysetcake im glad bf is working out better for you this time around 😊 must look into the pads thanks!!

WreckItRach · 24/05/2018 08:07

Good luck @LostMyBaubles ! Definitely keep us updated 😁

@readysetcake I'm so pleased it's going better this time round!

@lmx0 Are you feeling better today?

LostMyBaubles · 24/05/2018 08:29

Thank you

Ready any bf tips??

Im only 25 weeks today 😯

CremeDeSudo · 24/05/2018 09:39

@readysetcake please to hear it's going better this time, this gives me hope! Please share any tips! I've bought a cheap hand pump to use to draw the nipple out and also a pack of 4x ready made milks to top up if need be.

Today is my last day in work! WOOOOOOOOOOP! So bloody excited! Wish I relaxing though, but it's half term next week, then the week after I have to take DS to school 4 days out of 5. I hope I can get some naps in!

lmx0 · 24/05/2018 10:07

@WreckItRach nonfeeling worse today my back feels like ive been kicked very hard unless im sitting it eases a little 😢 thanks
@CremeDeSudo oh i bet you are so excited!!!!! And so ready!!! Im sure you will find time when ds is at school?

CremeDeSudo · 24/05/2018 10:18

@lmx0 I expect I'll find some time somewhere Wink I also have a list of household/garden jobs I want done before she arrives however, and I'm the type who can't relax until my mental list of things is done. Hoping DH will help me with the garden stuff this weekend, then there's not much. It's 5.5wks 'til my section date, but for some reason I'm convinced she'll make her appearance before then!

Embracethechaos · 24/05/2018 10:32

Sorry to hear everyones struggles, I'm doing pretty well except I feel like I'm being battered from the inside. I think Baby's moved so it's back is to my left frount/side and she has free kicks of my diaphragm/liver. I got a few twinges on my ambomen where I've overdone it yesterday with housework then during the class she pushed maybe a knee, elbow or shoulder out to my side. She's always been a fidgiter which is great, better than not moving but now I'm in the final few weeks I feel like she's a bit too keen to be free. I've moved my labour ball now so it's a handy prop to hold onto to get my out 9f bed. Once I start moving about I'm less stiff but I keep forgetting that I'm 32 weeks pregnant so can't do the same level of activity I'm used to...

Embracethechaos · 24/05/2018 10:36

She's slightly above average size and my mum was early with all her girls so I'm thinking she'll probably be out before the due date, she just needs a bit more time in the oven.

LostMyBaubles · 24/05/2018 14:54

Creme oooo maternity leave!!

Just back from hosp and have a uti that wasnt picked up last week.
There wasnt enough in my urine to send if off last week so they didn't despite them knowing i have kidney probs so they should have as jt wasn't clear

lmx0 · 24/05/2018 15:17

@LostMyBaubles at least its now been picked up but yes i agree yes it should have been sent off last week have they gave u anything?
@Embracethechaos i say as long as its not before 37 weeks they can come anytime your body will soon tell you when you are over doing it!!
@CremeDeSudo get your dh to help as much as possible what happens in that case then? Would they take you for an emergency section?

NooNooHead · 24/05/2018 15:27

Ok ladies... good news! I definitely decided on my planned c-section and will be holding my little boy in my arms hopefully in 2 weeks time!!! Eeeek! I’m so excited and glad I made the decision and stuck to it - I decided that even if I was induced, I would be given an epidural and other drugs etc that wouldn’t be any different from having a spinal... so I thought it seemed logical to go with my first choice of a planned c-section, and await with baited breath for the big day!

It’s all systems go from now - just got to hold tight and be strong on the day! I can’t believe I will be having another baby 7 and a half years after my first...Grin

WreckItRach · 24/05/2018 16:06

Ahhh how exciting @NooNooHead !! You will definitely be on count down now 😁😁 I'm pleased you are happy with your decision

Smurfybubbles · 24/05/2018 18:32

@NooNooHead so happy that you made your decision. I'd say you feel a sense of relief, now you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

Embracethechaos · 24/05/2018 18:45

Lmxo, my body told me I overdid it at the Saturday - Tuesday. Spent the last few days recovering. I overdid it a lot in the second trimester and I'm better now at listening to my body.

lmx0 · 24/05/2018 18:47

@NooNooHead thats great news!! Il sure you feel relieved and more in control im sure you will be busy getting ready that the 2 weeks will fly in!! Are you sticking with the 7th?

NooNooHead · 24/05/2018 19:45

Yes, I am sticking with the 7th lmx0 - after much pontificating and discussion with my DM and DH, and also my midwife, I decided to try the original plan of a c-section and see what happens.

I’m too scared of a totally natural birth, and if I have an epidural then it is basically having drugs but a longer labour and potential EMCS... all of these things are possibly going to affect my movement disorder but they are all unknowns and I am just going to have to take the risk...

It seems I am buggered either way through a natural birth but with epidural or a more controlled c-section with proper discussion with an anaesthetist. I’m willing to go down the more controlled route and get baby out sooner than risk not going into labour naturally and be induced with an EMCS anyway...!

lmx0 · 24/05/2018 21:19

@NooNooHead i bet you cant wait i think it sounds plan as you can be prepared more were as with natural anything can happen

CremeDeSudo · 24/05/2018 21:25

Yes it would be an emergency section I think as the stitch needs to come out too.

Can't believe I'm officially on mat leave now! Seems bizarre!

lmx0 · 24/05/2018 21:46

I got a letter for an appointment for the OBST'C ANAESTHETICS clinic did any of you get this? Whats it for?

LostMyBaubles · 25/05/2018 07:41

Imx0 I have
Im under bmi clinic and they send all of their people to see them. Just to talk about pain relief in labour etc

I have the thing that goes in your hand, gas and air and the injection

Embracethechaos · 25/05/2018 08:03

That sounds like a good appointment, I'd to talk to a doctor or midwife about pain relief, got another obs appointment in a couple of weeks and midwife next week.

LostMyBaubles · 25/05/2018 09:18

Nono glad you are happy with your choice

Embrace how are you feeling?

And everyone else ok?

Im scared to go down the section route.
I have bad labours (getting better as they know how to handle now) but was told if I had a section what goes wrong for me can be worse

Im actually looking forward to the birth. I enjoy it lol
Might have to have section if the placenta hasnt moved
